I’ve wanted Bimmercode for a while, but before buying anything my engine started running Bad and threw an engine light. I bought one of the dongles suggested by Bimmercode and read the code with the app that came with it. Cylinder 3 misfire. So I swapped coils with #2 and the code changed to cylinder 2 misfire. After changing all plugs and coils the engine light wouldn’t go out. Drove for a week, about 100 miles. So I bought Bimmerlink and now wish I’d started there. The stored error reading said straight up coil #2 was not working. My issue wasn’t hard for any mildly experienced person to figure out, but having it spelled out would have better! Good stuff.

Exhaust flap gets closed when engine is turned off, not permanent
I bought both. Sucks buying 2 seperate apps but code I used for the tinkering and link for engine codes and problems

My 430-420 code was fixed when i replaced spark ⚡️ plugs and 2 bottles of injector cleaner and a octane booster 🤷♂️

are you connected to the car when its off ? or is the ignition on ? I'd like to scan for errors but my car has no power after replacing a battery , batt + cable , front fuse box distributor and a ground strap .
I'm hoping beamer link can tell me what's wrong with my car if I cant get power to the car ? my regular OBD scanner wont work unless car has ignition on .

It’s not about android or iOS, they do two different things. Honestly, it’s best to have both apps.
@@Just1MoreMod There is no bimmer tool for IOS so I suppose the bimmer link is IOS version of bimmer tool....for example i purchased carista and it doesn't have no option to check DPF back pressure...so now i want bimmer link but if this is the same as carista than it's a waste of time and money 🤦♂️

Hello, once I buy that OBD (I was thinking about OBDLink MX+) I have a bmw x5 (2015) f15 3.0L. Can I connect to both, both bimmercode and bimmerlink? Or do I have to pay separately for bimmerlink? And one more question... If I bought OBDLink MX+ for example (that's all I have to pay and I have all the bimmer advantages ? Or do I have to pay monthly on the bimmer website like am subscription ? Thank you.
Can you reboot the car models or reeinstal them? i have bimercode and it does very few things in my E87 series.
my f90 battery been dying every couple days if i dont drive it. does this app give battery voltage? i see that your car say 65% battery life. would a battery charger bring that up to 100% or is that just based on battery life from age?
Definitely sounds like a bad battery. Change it immediately because it is causing the alternator to work overtime to keep it on. A battery replacement is cheaper than an alternator replacement.

You can clear codes, but not necessarily “block” them from coming back up.

Your codes for catalytic converter were here because of downpipe ? Or what was the problem?
Correct. It was a known code since I temporarily switched to the stock tune with the downpipe 👍🏼
Does is reprogram active flap module?
Is there a way to save the ASD off on BimmerLink? When I remove the adapter and turn off app it doesn’t save.
I’ve heard the same things from others, but I personally use BimmerCode to disable the ASD feature and it saves and remains off 👍🏼

Just use a temp gun on the pan, it works…I’ve compared the reading from the temp gun to the sensor reading several times and it always within 1-2degrees.
Did you ever find out if I can read transmission fluid temp? Nobody seems to know the answer so I’m assuming no lol
