My favorite adult contemporary singer of all time. Her debut 1990 album is the best adult contemporary album I've ever heard. I have two copies of it on CD. It has the sexiest album cover of all time on it. Every song on that CD is excellent. My favorite songs by her are before I fall, I never knew love could be like this, children of Eve, and her terrific Christmas song, Christmas stays the same. She's beautiful now like she was beautiful back then.
I'm so excited for the new CD! I ordered my copy last night. Linda is absolutely one of the best vocalists of all time. AND - there's going to be a volume 2 of Retro!

Here's a little background info on the subject: In the popular digital realm, a download on a program like iTunes nets artists a modest 10% of the profits. I think Ms. Eder is wise to sell the album on her own instead of giving in to the online streaming profiteers. I for one am happy to pay for the album to ensure she gets her fair share. She is worth every penny!
I purchased this cd at one of Linda's shows several months ago. I have listened to it probably a hundred times since then. It is so fabulous - possibly my favorite of Linda's cds, which is saying a lot. I am a huge fan and have many of her recordings. Her voice on this cd is better than ever, and the music is just gorgeous. The upbeat numbers are exhilarating, and the ballads truly move me to tears each time I listen (especially the tracks, "When the Right Man comes Along" and "Sweet Surprise.") The musicians, arrangements, and production quality, as always, are top notch. Linda's music has very special meaning to me, and I cannot recommend this cd highly enough.
I'm sorry that I only just now realized this was available. I ordered and received it, and it's nothing short of amazing. It's like a Greatest Hits album - I can't take it out of my player. Barbra once sang, "Why is the sequel never the equal?" but if the rest of the hidden gems are anything like this, Volume 2 will be equally fantastic. Thank you, Linda - this is simply marvelous - the best album I've bought this year....
