- Still unable to go to the studio so I recorded a 2020 version of Something to Believe In ... in my basement. I sent the Garage Band file to Billy so he could help remove some of the distortion ( I sing to loudly...what can I say) and he gave it a nice mix. Thanks, Billy!!!
My long time agent Dave Hart wanted me to record something uplifting and this it the song that came to mind. It seems like the perfect song for this very strange and negative time that we are in. I pulled some of my favorite photos and a few videos from my computer to make the video. Of course a big shout out to Frank Wildhorn for writing both the music and the lyrics. I hope you like it. Tomorrow night we’ll be treated with a concert by Linda Eder. And while everyone loves the music of Judy Garland, “Something to Believe In” has a special memory for us, both the Fitch Bros. arrangement and the studio ballad version. I hope that it will be snuck into the concert somewhere. This song is magnificent.

I went to see this beautiful lady in concert in Cleveland, OH a few years ago. She has a voice beyond compare.

This brought me to tears! During the worst of the pandemic when I was working in the emergency room caring hands on for some very sick patients, this song is what carried me through. When every day is filled with loss, tragedy, heartache, death, and on top of that you’re isolated from your family and friends… the only way to carry on is by finding something to believe in.

OMG...I so want to cry, I know we’ll both be able to hug our families soon!! The one thing that really sucks about this Pandemic aside from missing our families is I was supposed to see you in concert for the very first time on June 13th at 54 Below! I’m heartbroken I won’t see you then but I’m hoping you’ll be at 54 Below in June of 2021! My friends & I have rescheduled our NYC trip the week of June 8th of 2021! 🧡

It was a single already. Linda recorded this song initially in 1997 for her album IT'S TIME which came out the same time she was doing Jekyll & Hyde. There's a music video she shot late night in Manhattan and even performed it with a full Choir of Broadway vets on her first major PBS concert special. It's my favorite song Frank Wildhorn wrote for Linda.

Jay Ferguson I just discovered Linda Eder a few weeks ago , and after watching her journey on you tube on Star Search and binge listening to all her albums here, I need to go to the doctor and ask if there is a vaccine for someone addicted to a voice that has no equal . Looking over your concert schedule , you need to add something close to the Dallas area...Winstar Casino in Oklahoma is a great venue for your music. And there is one song you must add to your long list of love songs that I couldn't find on any of your albums ..."Somewhere Out There" ..it was written for you.
I've seen her in concert 43 times. She never disappoints!
