Let's Play Banished
Banished is a city-building strategy game for PC developed by Shining Rock Software, where you control a group of exiled travelers who decide to restart their lives in a new land. They have only the clothes on their backs and a cart filled with supplies from their homeland.
The objective of the game is to keep the population alive and grow it into a successful culture. Options for feeding the people include hunting and gathering, agriculture, trade, and fishing. However, sustainable practices must be considered to survive in the long term.

I really like what you did with your starting buildings and combining them into the landscape. Most playthroughs that I have watched by other folks, they tend to cut down and remove everything and build on completely empty land. Great work on this.

Personally I turn off disasters, I don't find them enjoyable or challenging.
If you're ever struggling with how to do something or what's best, never forget there are heaps of Guides on Steam.
People have put so much effort into them so they have heaps of info about everything little thing in the game.
Also a little tip for building things. If you're low on Laborers, don't assign any builders until the actual construction is all that's left.
The Builders won't actually do anything until that point, everything is done by Laborers so keep the Builders as Laborers until all of it is done. And on that note, when it comes to Crops & Orchards even though the game says it needs a Builder, it does *not.*
Nothing actually gets built, as it's just a field. So only the land is cleared which is done only by Laborers. As a result the Builder you assign doesn't actually do anything.
You should try Colonial Charter or another total conversion mod man, it multiplies the gameplay x100. Too few building choices and production chains are available in the base game unfortunately.
Colonial charter is awesome. I am currently playing megamod 9 which includes colonial charter. But yeah, mods add a lot to a great game!
I might do a run with mods. I just want to complete a good game without any mods first!
@derpymoose9948 I played like 150h before getting bored at first. after installing CC I still play it to this day and I have something like 1000 hours in it. Megamod is so good

You should probably keep your event log up.
You should raise your limits in the beginning.
If you move the the little information window for things with a ring, the ring stays around.
Woodcutter limit needs to be high. Remember 625 is for seeds.
Never sell tools. Iron is finite. Sell clothes and firewood.
A bording house is really good early.
Everything you build within the gatherer/hunter/forester yellow circles lessen their output. Somethings like houses, barns and stockpiles are worth it but other things are not. I think maybe your town encroaches too much on your yellow circles . Maybe keep the yellow circles in mind when planning things out. Great start on hard, keep going!
Laborers prepare the building site and builders don't start until the site is cleared and all materials gathered. Laborers work on jobs in the order given, unless you use the priority tool.
I reccomend using Lush & Green HD mod. It doesnt change gameplay but makes everything much more beautiful.
For your next playtrough I reccomend Megamod 1-7. It makes gameplay much more interesting

It’s fine to harvest logs manually outside the forester circle, it takes awhile before the forester is productive. I usually set a new forester on plant only to buildup the forest before cutting.

You should get rid of all the stone and iron in your forester zone so youll have more trees planted
