2:54 Tokota Music love the video! You might really love Sonible's AI Gate Plugin game changer!!!! It helps with noise, getting sounds closer to the references and making it more analogue playing with the high function on the plugin! 🙌🏾
Like everything music production related, it depends on the song, there are times where it sounds like she’s taking advantage of the proximity effect for sure.
@@tokotamusic9244 Hi mate! Thank you for sharing this with us! I'd like to suggest Thank You Next of Ariana Grande... It has great background placement in the mix!
First make sure to record in a small room full of dust, smoke would be even better- next inhale the smoke and dust until you are barely able to breath - falling on the floor gasping for air is perfect. Then record the breathy vocal and seek medical attention.
What? Ar... all the chopped samples.Erase them with EQ not with knife. :). You are already using too much plugins without effect. Especially at the beginning.
you could try to sound like billie but why not be your own artist and sound like you......if you want a career....write your own music and sing with your own voice...what is unique about YOU??? present that! not a copy of someone else.
You missed the point. This wasn't a lesson on how to write or sing like Billie. It's about how to capture and process vocals for amazing results the way Finneas did on Billie's recordings. We don't learn scales or cover songs to perform those exactly like they already sound, we first copy what others are doing and then use the skills from that process to create new ideas and techniques. No one creates anything in a vacuum. 99.8% of "new music" is simply a new version, alteration, or mixture of sounds one has heard through out life. Even Billie's unique sound is mainly a mix of minimalistic drum n bass beats and basslines, combined with catchy pop hooks either played on piano, guitar, or strings, which is then layered with vocals that are an amalgam of several jazz singers' styles and breathy indie-pop breathy singing. (It helps that Finn is a good musician and great producer and that Billie's natural voice control is amazing to being with).
I was a musician in jr high, high school, & music education major 3 years at USU many I knew practiced orchestral instruments a minimum of 6 hrs a day 7 days a week. I switched to engineering then because I was not willing to deal with the mediocre so many students were becoming. Expensive toys do not make the musician. stuff created for comic books movies.

I'm limiting the peaks and compressing it a bit.... The death phrases of modern music.
The vocals came out great, but Billie Eilish’s aren’t as bright

Not sure what you’re referring to here. Which chopped samples do you mean?
