I was recently on a road trip with a Dutch friend who hadn't been this way before, taking in Dublin, Manchester and Glasgow. Dublin is charming, Manchester is rather dull and disconcerting. Then there was Glasgow... in a different league. Such a great big city vibe. Loads of culture and street life. For tourists, the best city in the UK after London without a doubt.
Don I couldn't agree more! Glasgow just has an energy about it that feels so completely different to the rest of Great Britain. We'd heard mixed reviews prior to our visit but to be honest we experienced nothing but hospitality & kindness. We had the best time & cannot wait to get back there at some point. Thank you so much for your comment & for watching our video!!!!!😊

Ex Glasgow now living in Canada and I miss it terribly. First time it's best to take the city tour bus to pick out spots you want to explore and it's cheap as chips. My favourite haunts are the Kelvingrove Museum, Buchanan Street pedestrian mall, the Transport Museum, the Gallery of Modern Art and Byers Road for great fish and chips ending at the Botanical Gardens tea room. Glasgow has the best subway system in the world and the bus and train services are great. I wouldn't take a car to see Glasgow when there is such a great transport system. Park for free in an out Vilkage like Milngavie and take the train to one of the two train stations. The subway or underground there is a loop so if you miss a stop you stay on until it comes around again. Each stop you get off at has something to see. Buy a day pass. I never could get bored living there.
Wow only 4hrs ago this was commented and I'm copying and pasting a bunch of it into my Scotland plan! I've been born and raised in New Zealand but my family are McGregors and I'm so excited particularly for Glasgow to find some family history (maybe) but just see the country and this town. Glad you guys enjoyed my City. Fun fact about the necropolis you visited, it was actually used as a set to film the recent batman movie with Robert Pattinson. As were some of the rooftops in the City Centre
Oh nice!!! We'd heard something about a Batman movie being filmed there but didn't know it was the new one. That movie's honestly great, & the funny thing is we saw this movie in theaters there!!🤣 Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!
It truly is one of our favorite places we've EVER been. Scotland's got such a fighters spirit but everyone was also so incredibly kind to us. We had such an unbelievable time there & can't recommend visiting enough!! Thank you so much for watching our video:)
That's such a smart way to do it!! I personally love when museums are free. It makes me want to see as many as I can, therefore prolonging my visit and giving me the opportunity to spend money on other local businesses. Glasgow has it figured out for sure!
We'll make sure to add that to our list!!! We're hoping to be back within the next year to see more of Glasgow as well as check out more of the coast!!! I hear it's pretty incredible in the spring & summer months. Thank you so much for watching our video!!!
Great People you have the love and spirit of Glasgow and Scotland in your hearts now and for sure you guys are welcome anytime and I'm sure you'll be back if not stay forever 💙🏴
We absolutely loved it and are already planning a visit again either end of this year or early next year! We had the best time. Thank you so much for the kind words & for watching our video Sean!!😊
We were there earlier this year and hit the local guitar shops. They were not far off of Buchanan Street. I was able to purchase guitar picks with the Scottish flag. Great city. You guys are awesome 👍👍
Man we’ll have to get back there to visit them ourselves! We’ve head a lot about the music scene in Glasgow so that’ll be at the top of our list next time we’re in town. Thank you so much for the kind words and thank you for taking the time to watch our video!!!
While on George Square you should have taken the free tour of the city chambers building. Ridiculously expensive building. The Britannia Panopticon at the Trongate is well worth a visit too.
Hi Ally!!! Thank you for the recommendation. We feel like we did so much in Glasgow but really we only barely scratched the surface. We'll make sure to do that next time we visit!! Thanks so much again for the recommendation & for taking the time to watch our video!!!
You missed the Glasgow Barras! You can find all kinds of great bargains, some new, some used. Everything from clothing, furniture and all sorts of unusual stuff and knick knacks!
Shoot!!! We’ll make sure to get there next time we visit! It’s so tough to get everything because Glasgow’s SUCH a big city. It’d take one heck of an effort to see all of it in a day😂 thank you so much for the recommendation and for taking the time to watch our video Ina. It means the world to us!!❤️
Yous should have visited Celtic Park and Hampden Park, the two biggest stadiums in Glasgow where Celtic play and the Scotland National Team and Queens Park play.
We'll add those to the list!! Trey's a HUGE football fan & he's already said we have to go back to tour Celtic Park & Ibrox Stadium. He's still so bummed we missed it🤣 We'll have to add Hampden to that list also!! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!:)
We had a blast Joey!! The only thing we felt like we really missed out on was going to a Celtic or Rangers match. We're planning on visiting Sydney next year & have already started looking at camper vans to do an epic Big Loop road trip of Australia as well!!
Make sure you sit in the Celtic end! Lol Hail Hail the Celts are here!! Go back on a Champions League night! The atmosphere is electric. Glasgow is such a music city too. Every genre there's multiple nights, festival etc on ...I miss it!! Have fun guys
Thank you so much for the kind words Boris!!! We feel so fortunate that we have the subscribers we have because they leave comments like yours that keep us going. Thank you so much for being so nice & watching our vlogs!!☺️
As the Big Yin said you’ll have more fun at a Glasgow funeral than an Edinburgh wedding. One had an almighty night out there and there’s nowhere like it for a mad night out. Was somewhat under par the day after. You missed a trick with the food and should have got a pizza crunch from Crolla’s.
Hope you had a great time in Glasgow. World War Z opening scene was filmed in George Square The New Batman movie filmed a scene in Necropolis Cemetary, so you definetly saw the best sights
That's AWESOME!! We went and saw the new Batman in theaters back in March and it was incredible. The Necropolis is definitely a great spot for a Batman scene for sure!!
Awesome video guys! I'm headed to Glasgow in a couple weeks and was looking to get a vibe of the city before hand, this video def helped :) Subscribed to see the rest of your travels
Thank you so much Jenny!!! We're thrilled to have you along for the ride!! You'll love Glasgow! There's seriously so much to do and we felt like we'd barely even scratched the surface honestly😂 let us know if you do something awesome that we missed!!!
Hopefully it gave you a bit of inspiration to check them out!! We didn't get to see nearly as much of Glasgow as we wanted, but it was a fun town to visit. We're hoping to get back & see more at some point. Thank you so much for watching our video Pete!!!
Ya'll crack me up with the bloopers! Beautiful city, love the architecture. PS, Trey, I love cemeteries as well! I used to take my kids on walks through Maple Hill often. Lots of history in cemeteries!
The bloopers are honestly our favorite part too!! We have so many throughout a day of filming. It's pretty clear when we watch footage after that we're still trying to figure out how to talk on camera😂 Maple Hill is one of my favorite places in Huntsville!! It really is a beautiful place...during the day time LOL
@@ProbablyLost during the day time?? Chicken..... 😂 Well good, I'm glad that you like Maple Hill too... Now you'll know where to come visit me someday. 😉
We really enjoyed it!! We had no idea what to expect when we arrived but man, it far exceeded our expectations. We're hoping to get back at some point to see a football match at either Celtic or Rangers!
We'll 100% check that out next time we're in town!! We feel like we just BARELY scratched the surface with the things we did in this video. Thank you so much for watching John!!!
We'll have to add that to our list of things to do next time we're in town!! That's one of the best things about Glasgow honestly. You can spend a week there & not do everything! Thanks so much for watching our vlog Rachel!!
We just googled Purrple Cat Cafe & now Hannah's demanding we go back to Glasgow just to visit🤣 this is an awesome recommendation & we'll be sure to check it out next time we're there. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video Andrew!!!
@@ProbablyLost I'm so glad you like the look of the Purrple Cat Café. If you love cats, you'll love this place. Definitely the "cutest coffee shop". Æ 🙏
im happy you enjoyed glasgow! so many people seem to think its a shithole, and just go to edinburgh. I have family who used to live there. So i have been many times. But had not been for years. When i do go i never got see anything all the interesting. So i booked a trip for me and my wife in pre covid jan 2020, we started off in England to see a few friends. But sadly the day before i was going to scotland my wife had to return home due to sick relative. So i had to go alone to scotland, To cut a long story short, i spend 3 days in Glasgow, did the free walking tour, very good, discovered stuff ive never heard of, esp kelvingrove. Scottish pies, best place was macdonalds(not to the fast food place) in union st next to renee macintosh. Sadly i didnt enjoy ashton lane, too touristy, mind you i did go to a pricey bar, food wasnt very good. lastly Ayr was a good day trip to see a beach.
That sounds like a wild trip!! You're so right though, we'd heard some really bad things about Glasgow before we arrived but we honestly really loved it. There's so much to see & do, & we only had positive interactions with people while we were there. As far as Ayr, that's a great recommendation. I think our biggest regret from our visit to the UK was that we didn't really get to hit some of the lesser-known areas in Scotland. We're hoping to do some type of series in the future to highlight these spots too, so we'll have to go check it out!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video though Chris. We really appreciate that!!!!
Wow guys I grew up in Glasgow and this video is very well edited, good pace and informative. We’re currently travelling The Philippines We’ll follow your journey across Vietnam as that will be our next stop SUBSCRIBE! 🙏🏾
Thank you so much for the kind words!! We can't wait to get to the Philippines. We hear INCREDIBLE things about it, so hopefully we can get over there at some point this year. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!!😊
Did you try eating Haggis while in Scotland? After a "few" beers, my wife and I liked it but once we found out how it was made, this was a different story! A couple of glasses of scotch afterwards did help with the difficult digestion! LOL
We did!!! Our Airbnb hosts Steven & Ilona in Edinburgh made us Haggis, Neeps and Tatties when we arrived & we LOVED it!!! We were definitely nervous prior to eating it though since we'd found out what exactly haggis was😅 But we couldn't pass up the opportunity to try some home cooked fixins from a Scottish family. It turned out to be amazing & they've become great friends of ours! That's the best part of this community!!
The haggis thing is absolute nonsense. It was made inside a sheep’s stomach 200 years ago when there were no cookers! Haggis is no different from sausage, it’s just pork offal with spices, oats and barley. It’s held together in the same synthetic material used to keep sausage meat together. We also don’t still run around in kilts playing the bagpipes.
@@sussex33 Exactly, they don't realise that the burgers they eat out of McDonald's is made from all the scraps, if you worry what you eat start with McDonalds. Haggis is beautiful and I hate these yanks coming over acting like the US has proper regulations, you don't know wtf you're eating over there.
Nashville's so much fun!! We miss it to be honest, but if leaving it means we get to spend time in other cities like Glasgow then it's a fair tradeoff in our book. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video Drew! We really appreciate it!!
hi is there any accomodation place on budget you can recommend for couples how many days do you think is enough to explore this beautiful city looks amazing :)
Hi Dikshya!!! What we did was we stayed in a private room listing on Airbnb. It was only around $35 per night and although it wasn't DIRECTLY in the center of Glasgow, it was only about a 10 minute drive to the parking garage at Buchanan Street. I'd highly recommend checking Airbnb for smaller places because I promise you'll not spend much time there. There's SO many great things to do in Glasgow and we really only scratched the surface in this video. As far as days, we only stayed for a couple of days but so you could see some of it in that amount of time, but we really wish we'd been able to stay longer. Three to four days there would be perfect in our opinion!! Thank you so much for tuning into the video!!!
I was born in Glasgow - last time I went there, the buses on a Sunday were a bit dodgy - so we used the "Orange" - which is Glasgow's beautifully simple subway (two circular tracks going in opposite directions) It's Britain's second-most populated city - next only to London ... and yet, it doesn't feel that way (as you can see from this footage). As usual, Scotland's cities were designed MUCH better than England's. Over the last couple of years, the city centre was sometimes closed down so that Marvel and Indiana Jones could film - the architecture, and set dressing, standing in for New York
Cuffed tae tiny wee bits that you found Glasgow University, one of the top five oldest on the Planet, almost as nice as a Harry Potter CG screen set. Culture, man, ye cannae wack it!
That have done things for the country i think u mean world todya we are in glasgow england lol she says fn wat pmpl hope u really enjoyed wat i take for granted
For anyone wanting to travel to Glasgow here's some tips from a local. For accommodation you can't beat the bellgrove Hotel, right next to the city centre with a very relaxed almost comatose atmosphere to the place. You may be put off by a Glasgow takeaway due to myths and half truths about "deep fried Mars bars etc" but a trip to "best kebab" near Queen Street station will put all your worries to bed, they wouldn't call it best kebab if the food was awful, would they? For a bit of shopping why not visit the barras? A quaint little market run by colourful locals catering for all your needs. And if nightlifes more your thing then the savoy or "sauve sav" as its known to the locals is filled to the brim with drinks, dancing and as theyre known to the locals "dobbers". Have a lovely stay and we look forward to seeing you
Hey Grant!!! Thank you so much for leaving the recommendations! Hopefully we're back in Glasgow over the next year so that we can check these out for ourselves. Thanks again for the feedback & for taking the time to watch our video!!!
@@daphneduryea9136 sorry under no circumstances should you follow any part of those instructions haha, Bellgrove hotel wasnt really that kind of hotel. What's your budget and I'll suggest some more hospitable places to stay if you like?
@@grantkelly6750 Sure. Thanks! Budget's not really an issue. We like to stay at places that are unique to the country rather than some large hotel chain in which they're all pretty much the same no matter where you are.
I don't know if you are asking, but someone in the comments had a great recommendation: "lasgow has the best subway system in the world and the bus and train services are great. I wouldn't take a car to see Glasgow when there is such a great transport system. Park for free in an out Village like Milngavie and take the train to one of the two train stations. love her singing the song about 4 corners my daughter always used to sing that ... next time you visiting if u like cathedrals etc go to St Mungos honestly far more interesting than a musium of religion sounds . for those saying its dangerous its no more dangerous than any city .. theres neds addicts beggers and idiots in every town n city in world but Glasgow has more musiums gallaries (all free) and 3 different universities so great student vibes (glasgow uni Glasgow Cali and Strathclyde)
Hi Lilian!! Hannah got so excited when she realized that song fit for Glasgow😂 the city’s honestly so beautiful. As you said, every city has parts that are rough around the edges but in our experience, if you greet people respectfully & with a smile then 9 times out of 10 you won’t have any trouble. We didn’t experience anything in Glasgow that made us uncomfortable. Thank you so much for the recommendations & we can’t wait to get back there to see more of it!!! ☺️
Tut tut you missed the Statue of Liberty on the top of the council offices in George square..it’s not a cathedral it doesn’t have a bishop it’s now a Protestant church
Thanks for showing Glasgow on your vacation so proud of my city but Glasgow is a city in Scotland 🏴 not England Britain has 4 countries within it 👍🙂🏴

I hope nobody heard you say glasgow England otherwise it could have turned into a trip from hell lol Also I live right next to the necropolis I walk round it everyday for years such a beautiful place
Thankfully we weren't within earshot of anyone so we were safe. Hi John! Thanks for watching our video! Hannah just briefly misspoke & caught herself. That's why it's in the bloopers, because we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Oh we know!!! You can tell by the WOO from Hannah right after she said it that it was definitely not right🤣 Thankfully we've not gotten crushed too much in the comments over it LOL. Thank you so much for watching our video!!!
We thankfully were able to survive to tell the tale🤣🤣 My plan next time is to just take Hannah to Scotland first rather than first spend two weeks filming videos in England. Maybe that'll make sure this never happens again! LOL Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our video Andrew!!

Thanks for sharing and I will try and follow your advices for the coming trip. Thanks again.
Safe travels!! Thanks for watching! 🤗
This will be a big help for us because we're planning on going here in April. Thanks!
Man I love to hear that!!! You'll love Glasgow. It's got so much to see & do. Have a great time Marlon & thanks so much for watching our video!!!
@@ProbablyLost Make a left onto Argyle Street from Buchanan Street and it turns into Trongate St.. the music stores are in that area.. enjoy.
Oh my God! I'm glad I'm not the only one that immediately thought of the pizza hut song on that intersection by Glasgow Central Station.
Hannah was singing that every five minutes while we were there🤣 Thanks so much for watching our video Kyle!!
The Sub Club in Jamaica Street is the longest running house music club in the world, amazing place.
We'll have to add it to our list of places to get to next time we're in Glasgow! Thank you for watching our video!!
It means the world to us!!❤️
Another great video probably lost. Some nice images.
Thank you!!!:)
you're welcome @@ProbablyLost
Yous should have visited Celtic Park and Hampden Park, the two biggest stadiums in Glasgow where Celtic play and the Scotland National Team and Queens Park play.
We'll add those to the list!! Trey's a HUGE football fan & he's already said we have to go back to tour Celtic Park & Ibrox Stadium. He's still so bummed we missed it🤣 We'll have to add Hampden to that list also!! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!:)
Hope you guys enjoyed my home city! I now live in Sydney but Glasgow is home
Nice one guys! Keep on doing your thing and inspiring the many.
@@ProbablyLost you need to try and get to ibrox for a European match , it will literally blow yous away , hope yous had a lovely time in Glasgow x
Glasgow is my home town but rn I’m in boness. Hail hail the Celtic 🍀
Very beautiful Glasgow city
It certainly is!!
You guys are awesome you definitely deserve more subscribers
Thank you so much for the kind words Boris!!! We feel so fortunate that we have the subscribers we have because they leave comments like yours that keep us going. Thank you so much for being so nice & watching our vlogs!!☺️
As the Big Yin said you’ll have more fun at a Glasgow funeral than an Edinburgh wedding.
One had an almighty night out there and there’s nowhere like it for a mad night out. Was somewhat under par the day after.
You missed a trick with the food and should have got a pizza crunch from Crolla’s.
Hope you had a great time in Glasgow.
World War Z opening scene was filmed in George Square
The New Batman movie filmed a scene in Necropolis Cemetary, so you definetly saw the best sights
You managed to go to all the places I've never been in Glasgow and I visit every couple of weeks!
Hopefully it gave you a bit of inspiration to check them out!! We didn't get to see nearly as much of Glasgow as we wanted, but it was a fun town to visit. We're hoping to get back & see more at some point. Thank you so much for watching our video Pete!!!
@@ProbablyLost ha no, I'm more of a pubs and gigs kinda visitor. You never know though, maybe I'll suddenly feel the need for some culture 😂
I hope you enjoyed your stay in Glasgow
We really enjoyed it!! We had no idea what to expect when we arrived but man, it far exceeded our expectations. We're hoping to get back at some point to see a football match at either Celtic or Rangers!
You done we’ll hit good spots enjoy transport museum is awesome as are art gallery
Thank you Dawn!! Glasgow was such a great city to explore. We can't wait to come back!!
Great. Wonderful. Video
Thank you so much!!
Next time you're here, hit up Ardnamurchan Scottish Restaurant & Bar. It was there last week. Probably the best Scottish food in Glasgow City Centre!
We'll 100% check that out next time we're in town!! We feel like we just BARELY scratched the surface with the things we did in this video. Thank you so much for watching John!!!
You should have went to Glasgow Green and the People’s Palace.
We'll have to add that to our list of things to do next time we're in town!! That's one of the best things about Glasgow honestly. You can spend a week there & not do everything! Thanks so much for watching our vlog Rachel!!
Fantastic! We love the Cathedral tours…💕
Yay!!! We honestly love them. They provide such a great glimpse into these past in these cities. They do such an incredible job with preservation too!
Love the bloopers
Thank you so much!! They definitely provide more of a glimpse into who we are than the actual video content😂
My favourite place to visit in Glasgow is the Purrple Cat Cafe... because I love purple, cats and cafés. Æ 🙏
Glad to see you visiting my home city interested to know where you stayed
It's such a great place to visit!! We stayed a bit outside of the city center in a small airbnb very close to Broomfield Park!
My beautiful city .love staying in Glasgow Scotland 🏴.
SLANJ 🎉
You two are hilarious haha
Thank you!!! There certainly aren't a ton of dull moments😅 Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our video!!:)
im happy you enjoyed glasgow! so many people seem to think its a shithole, and just go to edinburgh.

Deep fried Mars bars fried in batter heavily laced in salt; served by a ginger haird waiter in a kilt is there to
" DIE FOR "
That sounds incredible!!! Thank you for adding that recommendation!!!!
I love Nashville especially Roberts Western Bar
Nashville's so much fun!! We miss it to be honest, but if leaving it means we get to spend time in other cities like Glasgow then it's a fair tradeoff in our book. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video Drew! We really appreciate it!!
Next time you visit Scotland go to bookstores and yarn shops.
Bloopers - Today we are in Glasgow England - you would get a tanking for that in Buchanan Street
She was QUICK to correct it😅
hi is there any accomodation place on budget you can recommend for couples how many days do you think is enough to explore this beautiful city looks amazing :)
@@ProbablyLost thank you for you suggestion you guys are so cute haha
I was born in Glasgow - last time I went there, the buses on a Sunday were a bit dodgy - so we used the "Orange" - which is Glasgow's beautifully simple subway (two circular tracks going in opposite directions)
It's Britain's second-most populated city - next only to London ... and yet, it doesn't feel that way (as you can see from this footage).
As usual, Scotland's cities were designed MUCH better than England's.
Over the last couple of years, the city centre was sometimes closed down so that Marvel and Indiana Jones could film - the architecture, and set dressing, standing in for New York
Best place i love in Glasgow is ashton lane, hillhead,
We LOVED Ashton Lane. Such a fun area!!

It's seriously the best!
I googled it - says that hotel is permanently closed. Where is another good place? I'll be there in June for the Elton John concert.

Where we can park the car for free or cheap for the whole day to explore Glasgow
The subway or underground there is a loop so if you miss a stop you stay on until it comes around again. Each stop you get off at has something to see. Buy a day pass."
love her singing the song about 4 corners my daughter always used to sing that ... next time you visiting if u like cathedrals etc go to St Mungos honestly far more interesting than a musium of religion sounds .
for those saying its dangerous its no more dangerous than any city .. theres neds addicts beggers and idiots in every town n city in world but Glasgow has more musiums gallaries (all free) and 3 different universities so great student vibes (glasgow uni Glasgow Cali and Strathclyde)
Hi Lilian!! Hannah got so excited when she realized that song fit for Glasgow😂 the city’s honestly so beautiful. As you said, every city has parts that are rough around the edges but in our experience, if you greet people respectfully & with a smile then 9 times out of 10 you won’t have any trouble.
