      Hi Mr. See I am interested in the Yamaha psr e363 and am wondering if it is the right choice I want a keyboard that is a affordable, simple and sounds great,lasts a long time (5years+) and durable . I will be trying to teach my younger siblings and wondering if it is a good choice, or if you have any other suggestions? Thanks God Bless. Also I have ordered the Casio CTK 3500 but am thinking or returning it and buying the Yamaha.

      @@JeremySee Thanks for another great video Jeremy!
      I've seen a lot of information about using the CT-S200 MIDI out as a controller but haven't seen anything about using MIDI in and controlling it with a different keyboard - basically using it as a sound module. Have you tried that? I have a Montage 7, a Tyros5 and a few other keyboards in my studio but in my living room, I just have a Kawai MP11se digital piano, a small mixer and a microphone. The CT-S200 is shallow enough that I can put it on top of my MP11se for some extra sounds. I have a chance to but a brand new red one for $40, that's why I'm considering doing that. I'd appreciate your input. Thanks!

    This was a great video but the Audio Interface is a bit expensive.
    Is there a way you could do a video on how to use a Casio/Yamaha arranger keyboard. With the intro, etc. I see you doing chords in your left hand and then every so often pressing buttons on the keyboard I'm gathering to change from different parts of the song. Maybe you could pick a simple song that everyone would know. I have a Casio WK245 but I gather that most Casio's and Yamaha's all work pretty similarly. Cheers

    Your video is great! You as always have done a perfect job to simply explain the complex things. Could you tell us some other bit of information: is it possible to play midi notes from DAW on the keyboard's speakers? • @JeremySee

    Hi, Jeremy. Nice channel and very useful for eternal beginners as myself. My issue with that cakewalk software is that it "captures" my audio and I'm not able to listen anything else except sound from the software (no youtube, no videos, no games, no nothing), so if I want to follow and play along another song (as I usually do), I'm not able to. Do you know how to avoid or fix that? I was reading some comments in forums and they said you get that when you have a single soundboard or something (things I don't actually understand). Any help is welcome because I had to return my new midi controller because of that.

    I have WK 6500 is the process similar? Also, I have a Zoom P4 , can i use that as an audio interface?
    By the way, where are parts 2 & 3?

    Also should be possibly to record Analog->Digit by computer's inner sound interface. That external sound card costs not lesser than a music keyboard.

    Hi, my focusrite only has one input for jack cable, can I do it with just one input instead of two? Also, why do you even need to do that if the MIDI data is being recieved by your computer? Surely the audio will come from the virtual instrument not the keyboard itself.. I'm confused why you put the headphones jack into focusrite at at all.

    So-o-o glad you are posting videos about DAW music recording. :) I really love this new direction you are going in for awhile. Nobody explains things like you do and you really break it down step by step for those of us just starting. Are the steps much different with other keyboards, like the Casio CT-X700 or the Yamaha PSR-E363? Is the Native Instruments free software .. like Komplete Start, compatible with all keyboards? (Wondering where you can get more free sound downloads.. That's what Google is for, right? ;) )

    • @JeremySee
      @JeremySee  4 роки тому +3

      Yes, Komplete Start is free and absolutely crazy value. Unfortunately, most viewers don't watch too long on these tutorials and the lack of watch time hurts the channel as a whole. I actually have sample libraries worth a total pf almost $5,000 on my SSD but interest is low. Do you know why FL Studio is the most popular DAW even though it costs $199 USD? 😉

    Sounds good, I notice you connect Midi keyboard direct to Laptop with usb/midi cable, Then audio interface also to laptop with usb cable. Am I correct? I did not see Two usb cables into laptop during the latter part of your video. One from Audio interface & One from Midi keyboard. I notice the audio interface has old style 5 pin Din Midi in/out. would it be possible to utilise these sockets with an older style 5 pin midi cable, as my Casio CTK-671 uses. Therefore would only require the single usb cable from the audio interface to the PC for both Midi & Audio inputs.

    • @JeremySee
      @JeremySee  4 роки тому +1

      Yes you can use the 5 DIN MIDI on the audio interface. I demonstrated the USB connection on laptop for clarity. When I say down for the screen recording there are 2 USB to my desktop which is what I used for the screen recording.

    I am confused whether to buy this electronic keyboard or just midi keyboard. My primary work will be music production but if this casio comes with midi option and standalone keyboard then I will go with this...
    Please let me know about latency... (I will be working on cubase and reaper DAW)
    Thanks

    Hey Jeremy! Great video. It's super useful! I still haven't bought an instrument... I was wondering. This is all i want the keyboard for. Can a casiotone cs100 do the same? Aaaaand what would you recommend one of these or a Behringer umx610. Thanks a lot!

    Hello, thanks for the video.
    Is the Focusrite device mandatory to use the built-in tones? I was able to use the virtual instrument, but couldn't use the built-in tones because my computer does not recognize Casio keyboard as a audio input, only MIDI Input.

    • @JeremySee
      @JeremySee  Рік тому +1

      Casio USB port does not support audio in/out. You will need an audio interface if you want to send onboard tones to your PC.

    Just a specific question, does the speaker of CTS300 and LKS250 the same in terms of power and quality? Or is LKS250 better? Trying to decide between the 2 and I prefer the one with pitch bend (CTS300) but if the LKS250 speakers are better then I'll go with that. Thanks!
