I play piano for about two years now. My first 2 years weren't consistent, but now it is... What I realized is that, as long as the keyboard's is in good shape, it always depend on the consistency and perseverance of the aspiring pianist.
Don't rely much on how "expensive" your keyboard is, if you're not determined to play it
So I'd most likely advice everyone else, not to give up even if you encounter difficulties in playing any instrument. Coz you could be regretting in the next years.
Am a fan of you Jeremee See! Keep it up!😍
Good advice . I am a Guitar player- and i dont know ANY piano chords !!! But i make up complete songs with a blues feel
IF you are willing to use your own imagination -you can make a lot of progress .
I'm really glad you posted this. I've been thinking seriously about getting it for practice away from home. I'm learning keyboard but I'm away from home most of the day (babysitting my grandchildren). I like the fact that it is so light, but this one has touch sensitivity. We also camp a lot so it would be easy to take along.. I know you featured the the CT-S200 in earlier videos, but this was the one I really wanted to check out.
I've been searching for a piano for quite some time now and with your thoughts, I think this one is the way to go, Thank you, Mr.See.
Have fun!
I was going to get a cts 200 but your breakdown of the differences led me to cancel that order and go with the cts 300. You've definitely gained a sub, love your videos!
How is it ? Do you think it's good for someone like me who's just starting out . Don't know if I'll be using the dance features alot 😂
The CT-S300 is definitely better. Mainly 'cause of pitch bend and touch response.
@@Mr.Face222 i dont really understand what pitch bend does, can you help enlighten me?
ME TOO! i will buy yet..but i fall in love on the sensitive after see the tests. man thats a ''game change'' for sure
@@ninimagic You can wiggle it to make the sound wavy or pitch it up and down to like "distort" the sound when pressing keys. I think some use it to better make the sounds of instruements like saxophone for example. I had one on my roland e-70. Only used it for fun. It was useless to me. I played piano for 10 years. now i wanna buy a new one :) but the the pitch bending option i dont care about.
All I want is a great piano sound and touch sensitivity. 😂
This one has it. I'm happy with it.
BRUH SAME.
@@PeterKruseMusic this or the ctk 3500? Can't decide
@@LorenzoClara97 This one, CTK 3500 is older, also this keyboard (on the official Casio page) is compared against CTK 3500, CT-S 300 wins
Me too
Hey Jeremy, thank you for doing those videos. You really helped me choosing a decent starter piano for my kid.
After 12 of your videos finally found it, ty, cleared my doubts with ctx 3500, ty just ordered it🙏👍😁😉
thanks for the review!
Another great review Jeremy, thank you! Yes you are correct about the price difference. Here in the UK the RRP is £179 ($230 US Dollars as of 5th Nov 2019). This include VAT (our sales tax) and free shipping, but it's still a very significant difference to our friends across the pond. Looking forward to your Yamaha PSS-A50 review.
Yes, I have highlighted to Casio guys that their EU pricing really don't makes sense. Thanks for watching till the end. I appreciate itm
Your vids always are so light and upbeat. I like what you're doing. Keep it going!
Thank you buddy.
fking good
Thank you for the review Jeremy!!
Hi there Jeremy. Gary from England here. I would appreciate your advice on something if I may....but firstly a big thank you for all your many and varied honest and up front video assessments of keyboards and pianos! I am, at 62, finally kinda dipping my toe into the wide world of keyboards/pianos. I have always loved the sound of piano...and several friends play it. For me this journey is a beginning and tentative one to get a feel for whether it is indeed a musical path I wish to go down and immerse myself into. Hence electronic keyboard to start and am on a budget. I will be buying from a store here that I have an account with....listening to your videos my store is a little pricey but its what I will do given finances and the fact that I do have an account.......so, my question: given what I have seen on your videos matched with what my store has to sell...which of these options would you honestly recommend for a complete novice like me and bearing in mind my intention to just test the water at this point: Casiotone cts 300; Yamaha psr e463; casio lk 250; yamaha psr e310. These are the affordable options. Two things Iwould say.....would prefer to have decent speaker sound and default piano sounds above all else. Jeremy thanks so much for your advice and input and I look forward ro watching more of what you do. Gary Radley
Thank u, it helped me a lot, I'm about to buy the CT-S300.
Excelente review, gracias por la información! 😀
Thank you for the great video! It was pretty instructive! I just bought one Casiotone CST 300 and right now I'm waiting it arrives in my home. I am anxious! Anyway, thanks for the video, mate!
I bought this a couple of days ago and I am waiting for it to arrive
I ordered a cts 300 today! Can’t wait to start learning. Thanks Mr.See
Have fun!
i loved your reviews -very comprehensive without getting nerdy or boring . Excellent, informative review . Greetings from Ausrtralia
I just got the CT-S300, love it!
Thanks Jeremy! You helped me make a decision I was flummoxed about so easy. It was between the Ctk 3500 and the S300. Now I will get the S300 being a beginner at keyboard! 😊😊
did u buy the 300 ?
I still can't decide between 300 and 3500
I want to learn with the app on my tablet so they are both valuable options, the s300 looks better but seems little bit poor without midi connection, the 3500 screen is bigger
@@LorenzoClara97 cts 300 has midi connection I think?
Very nice review of casiotone cts-300 l, excellent!!👌👌👌👌
Thanks for the great review! Is Yamaha. np12 better than this in terms of keybed and midi controller?
CT-S is a perfect keyboard to go with a Casio watch.
I kinda wish Casio would make a bundle of keyboard and watch for "stylish" reasons. For example:
Casiotone bundled with the basic Illuminator, CT-X bundled with the mid-level G-Shock, or digital piano bundled with the high-end Edifice/Diver
Watching this again before buying one for myself! Thanks for this.
Hello fellow countryman! I just bought this at the stroke of midnight on 19/12/2020, as an impulsive buy! 😂
Thanks for this information
❤
Hi Jeremy,
Your videos are indeed very inspiring. I got influenced and I bought a Casio CTS 300 to learn keyboard.
But there is no chord button.
Also when I am playing left hand chord (CEG) some other music is starting to play.
The manual is also inconclusive about playing normal left hand chord. The Rythm, Pattern, ACMP options are of no help. The beats keep starting to play the moment I press left hand C-E-G.
How to play normal left hand chord without triggering other beats or sounds?
This is so frustrating.
Please help.
i got this keyboard a week ago. it's nice and perfect for beginners like me. thanks for making this video
Sweet. I bought it as a portable keyboard because my giant KORG is a best.
Thanks for the review man!! Almost bought the s200 but decided to check the tube for validation and welp.. I got up sold on the s300 and I couldn’t be more happier haha shout out amazon prime 🧛🏻♂️🤘🏼
Did it arrive yet ? If so congrats 😂! Can you tell me if it has weighted keys though cuz I'm gonna be buying it online and don't really know how it feels .
Great Review!! Thank you for your insightful introduction, Jeremy. The review make it much easier for me to decide which keyboard is the most suuitable for me as a beginner and an aspiring hobbyist. Hope the investment would be worthwhile in the long run.
was it?
Hi! Could you tell us about your experience by now? I'm about to make up my mind on buying this one :)
Watching your videos since I started having interest on piano
But someone told me that there are
Grand piano, Acoustic piano,Digital piano, Keyboards
So I need to watch the difference and one of your videos explained it and decided I'll go with keyboards
And now I'm looking on what keyboard I should buy as a beginner
And the casiotone CTS-300 got my attention so I stumble upon on this video so I can know it better
This video helps me a lot because on how non bias and how clear your review is
So I decided to save money for a casiotone CTS-300
Thanks Jeremy
hoy compre el cts 200... gracias a las reviews de tu canal.
I just bought one starting back to playing piano so I am looking forward to learning and playing
Alright , I just picked this up and it’s amazing
Great review. I certainly agree that the prices are jacked up in Europe. I nearly blew a fuse when I heard the price in the video and compared it to the price I paid for it here in Europe.
Unfortunately that's how it is over in EU with trade wars and forex. 🥺
Very helpfull ❤️
Hi Jeremy, please tell me there is a way to go up and down in octave quickly while playing. I just bought the 300 and it doesn't seem to have that
I'm a guitarist that also plays keys.
I own Casio PX-310, Casio XWP1 and Casio CZ-3000
Casio is highly underrated
Great comparison with the cts 200 and your breakdown of pros and cons, definitely helped me to make this particular purchase. I don't want to spend over $200 and this one is selling at $180 in Canada and I will need a sturdy stand for it too. Great video!
Have fun! Do use the links in the video description. It helps the channel.
I just ordered this keyboard from Amazon. After looking about 25 different keyboards, It sold me on the touch sensitive keys.
Thank you for this video ! I play the piano and was looking for a keyboard I could bring with me abroad and to play with headphones, I think I will go with the CasioTone CT-S300 !
Bought it...thank you Jeremy See...
Hello, Jeremy. I’m looking for a 61 key keyboard that I will be using for one of my subject in my school. I will mostly use it for practicing my assigned scales and pieces. Do you think this will be good enough for that purpose? Thank you so much
Thank you so much for all your in-depth videos. In your opinion, is there a difference in the feel of the keys in the LK-250 vs. the CT-S300? Trying to decide between the two.
Same keybed.
Hi Jeremy, can you kindly do a review of the Lesson Function found in CT-S200, CT-S300 and LK-S250? I don't seem to hear you mention it in any of your videos, or did you? Thanks.
Should I go for this or the ctx 700?
I'm going to use it with FL Studio
Just want to know if it's good as a midi keyboard (like if there's any delay or detection issues)
love it!
I think I’m going to buy this!!!
Bought one, thanks for the info. Sir Jeremy.
Have fun!
Looks like this will be the one to get me through quarantine haha
Hey is it good bro?
I agree. I'd buy one too. It sounds good to me.
Should I buy this one or Casio lks250 ? Pls suggest
@@balls3062 well if you are on a tight budget for a touch sensitive keyboard ,then go with the cts 300, if you want a keyboard with the same features as the cts 300 but with key lighting system then go with the lk 250
And the LK 250 also has like a tutorial mode. But does'nt have the pitch bend wheel
Super helpful review! I just bought a CTS300 for my son who is learning to play.
Is the ctk 3500 better than 1500?
What pedals i can buy for it ?
THank you! one of the best youtube reviews... I am waiting to buy it,cant wait.. i want to buy with the 'X' Suport..
So about ctx700 do you recommend more than this one? i mean this one has the pitch bend that is so cool! but you told about the AIX and it also has some buttons to memorize that can be very good for some sounds memorized to repeat too.. could it be better than the pitch bend for choose ?
I was between ct s200 and s300,but decided get s300 for more almost 100$ for the sensitive and pitch bend. i wanted s200 for red color but thats ok...
Hi Jeremy, How is the touch sensitivity keys on this one? I recently bought Alesis Q49 midi and returned it because keys velocity was not good. Should I go for keyboards like this one or should I get another midi? (I'm a beginner) Thanks.
hi jeremy, is there a setting for cts300 to hear from both headphones and speakers at the same time? i hope you see this.
I just bought one of these, I'm in lockdown at the moment and like you said, they overcharging. I bought mine for $319 Australian $. Can't wait to learn to play.
Have fun!
Umm can I ask if it was worth it because I been thinking of getting one ( ◠‿◠ )
Do you need batteries or you can just plug in on a wall ?
Good video!
I’ve had mine for a week as a side keyboard (to my Yamaha P-515 digital piano) for practice if on vacation. It’s perfect just for practice and fun. The built-in handle is very convenient but wish they had a gig bag for these Casiotones for plane travel.
There is a specially designed gig backpack for the Casiotone by Casio.
@@JeremySee unfortunately, no longer available anywhere. Even went to Casio website typing in the model no. of Casiotone gig bag (Casio SC-650B) but doesn’t even exist on their own website. ☹️ Also cannot seem to find a narrow gig bag like it as a substitute.
Thanks for the video. I am totally a beginner and I want to buy my first keyboard. the CT-S300 in Amazon Spain is 177,00 €. Not sure If I should go for this or the Yamaha PSR-E363 which would you recommend me?
I really want to play piano but I don't have much space for 76/88 keys. Gotta find 61 keys, and I think I found what I'm looking for! And I can use it for controllers! Thank you, Jeremy! I sub'd!
What does the 2 sensitivity levels mean? Is it only full velocity and low velocity? Or is actually fully touch sensitive?
Thank you Jeremy. I bought one today and it is terrific.
Hi Sir Jeremy . I have been searching for the best entry level beginner keyboard. Would you recommend this over 88 keys non branded piano keyboard? Or let's say a surplus Japan Casio. Can you help me decide Sir? It would be a big help for me.
Hi. Thx for your demo. Is the size of the key the same as the ones on an acoustic piano? Thx.
Hi
Thx for this video
Is it possible possible to play a piano sound at the right hand and another sound at the left one?
Thx and regards
That's a good good piece there... ツ
I like ct-s200 because of the red color which is very unusual that's why I like it, but because of this review I bought ct-s300. Thank you sir! ❤️🎹 This video is a money saver already 👍🏼
I'm happy to share what I know. 😉
@@JeremySee receiving reply from you is a big deal for me 🎹❤️ I'm a small youtuber from Philippines who happens to love playing the piano since highschool ❤️
Finally I bought it and it's awesome 😍🎶my first keyboard was f51 but I learn very quickly and I want a sensitive touch keyboard. This is awesome because of keys. looks like a real piano. I love it 🎶🎶🎶
Hi, thanks for these
Jeremy which would you recommend between these
Casio CTS300BK Casiotone Keyboard vs Casio LK135 Keyboard? Thanks!
I'm mainly looking to learn the piano in a small apartment.
The casino CTS300BK is a really good keyboard 🎹
hi Jeremy. Finally i will start my lessons. I dont have yet the Keyboard. I tink that if i want to change the voice is more easy with other keyboard (doing it with buttons instead the control of the cts300)
Have fun!
Jeremy, your videos helped me choose this one over the CTK-3500, especially in these covid times, when going to the store and trying the keyboards isn't really an option... Thank you very much!
PS: here at Chile it's overpriced as well, costing $200.
en qué tienda de Chile lo compraste?
Same in Poland
in india it about 120 dollars LMAO 🤣 ,and about 100 dollars in sales
@@superstatics205 yeah man I was surprised to see that, that isn't the case generally in India,
Whenever I convert $ to INR for products I felt bad, but this isn't case here
Thanks J
Hello I bought this keyboard after looking at this video but I cannot go to App more and use the chordana app. Setup does not seem to have the option
Can this be connected to an audio interface with Phantom Power turned on because of a Condenser mic?
Hi Jeremy i hope youll see this. Is there a possible latency if this is being connected to computer for DAW?
Does anyone know if the CT-S300's MIDI function sends velocity/expression info to the DAW?
Should I go for this casio s300 brand new or a used casio px 160 , both would be at same price ?
Hello Jeremy and Thanks for the great reviews!
Is this keyboard Casio CT-S300 close enough to be considered piano practice?
Or would my time be better spent on something closer to a real piano?
I have this one and I really like it, but wondering if I'm actually learning to play the piano.....as this is my goal.
i am trying to learn piano too so if u have any good tips or get them could u tell me because i dont know how to start or is there any good youtube videos for it
Can we connect it to the amplifier and then to the external speakers
Hi jeremy,
Ur video was very useful but I am a lot confused abt which to choose, between Casio cts 300 and casio ctx700...the thing is that they both have their advantages and it is confusing please help.:-( tq
Just bought one. Wish I could get a red one like the S200. 😭
hey how's the Paino voice is it realistic and crispy ?
I’ve got the red one but now I want to get the cts300... how’s the velocity sensitive keys do they make that much of a difference or ?
@@tesla3681 In my opinion it sounds much better with the sensitivity on rather than off, and its especially nice when trying to player slower/softer songs.
Is it better any better than yamaha e373? Also can you put a comparison between these two please?
Are the keys weighted? Also, is this keyboard loud enough small room performance?
Hello I’m from Mexico
Does the Casiotone cts300 keyboard has any recording functionality? Thank you.
Can you connect a volume pedal to it? May be route the output to an amp/speaker via a volume pedal? Thanks.
Should I get this or m audio Keystation 61 MK3?
I'm only gonna use them as midi controller
Hi Jeremy...between this ct-s 300 and Roland Go keys which one that you choose?
wow Han plays the keyboard now!
I am planning to buy a portable keyboard
please suggest between Yamaha pss a50 and cts300
Is there a keyboard recommended to learn to play classical music on?
I'm a 19 year old and I'm interested in learning the piano
Should i get the ct s300 or go for a digital piano like the cdp s100?
I currently have enough in my savings to but the cts300
Should i buy the cts300 right now or should i wait and save for the cts300?
Hi Jeremy, Please make a video for Midi Commander app set up for casiotone cts 300 for quick tone changes.
I want to connect it for amplification. How? Would it work on a guitar/keyboard amplifier? Or speaker?
Cool keyboard. Good for cell group meeting and i can play the worship songs carrying around with it. Too bad they don't have red or white colour like the S200 . Anyway thanks for sharing Jeremy ❤👍
Sir how is the Midi experience with this keyboard?
Does this keyboard have layer and split function? Thanks
Hello sir Is that better than ctk3500 and ctx700??
Hello, does someone know if I can record what I am playing (at the keyboard) to the computer/smartphone directly? I want to record it full sound, so there will be less background noise. Hope someone could help me with this
Is the sound good enough to learn play by ear techniques?
hey great review i really loved what you were playing in the beginning of this video. could you please tell me what type of music that was or what song it was. it sounded like some megaman song.
I just make up my own tunes in my head. Playing known song will get my video demonetized.
