    I love my CC! It's fun to drive and the interior is excellent. This car has character and you don't see many of them on the road, which I like.

    I have a 2013 CC Sport Plus and no regrets. It's the best car I've ever owned, and I've owned many. Both American and Japanese and nothing can compare. I don't care what anyone says. German cars are far superior.

    I'm thrilled you gush as much about this thing as I do. Bought mine 3 years ago and still smile EVERY SINGLE TIME I get in and drive it. I can't wait for the next generation to come out...the new Euro Passat gives me hope it'll be epic.

    I really appreciate the fact that Nathan seems like a genuine fan of Volkswagen especially the CC. I have been really considering this car once the lease on my jetta is over. Right now I am at a cross between the Jetta GLI and the CC. Thanks for all of your VW videos!!

    I have a 2013 3.6 vr6 model with 4 motion but sadly a regular 6 speed auto. Having owned the car for 2 years now, I have no complaints. I absolutely love this car.

      Have a 2007 Passat 3.6 VR6 4Motion, loaded with AFS adaptive bi-xenon, 600Watt Dynaudio, 12-way power front sport seats, rear window shades for doors/rear glass, full LED rear lights (that look like they came off a $100K car), electronic parking brake with auto Hill hold, even a freaking an umbrella HOLDER in the drivers door! This car, along with my old Passat W8, is why I love VW. The is actually faster than the W8 - I've clocked it at 5.7 seconds 0-60.

      @BornToDriveOfficial 10 років тому

      n777ua I have an '08 Passat 3.6 4motion and you're absolutely right about the 0-60 time. I have a few videos on my channel showing how fast it is

    • @PIchillin456
      @PIchillin456 10 років тому +1

      n777ua Your 3.6 Passat being faster than the W8 admitedly isn't all that impressive. The W8 Passat itself wasn't all that impressive from a performance aspect, but that engine, like the 3.6 in your new passat, was a piece of art. VW really knows how to build a great engine. I have a 2004 Passat 1.8T with a 5 speed manual and 4motion and I'm completely in love with the car. I was thinking about getting a W8 model but got scared away by the repair costs. Anyway that tiny 1.8T produces respectable power and gives me 34 mpg on the highway. My next car will be another VW. VW may not make the highest performance cars but what they do make are cars that do a lot of things well, instead of focusing on a few things like some manufacturers.

    Sorta impressed with the cc. Drove a 2015 R Line this week. As a long time BMW 3 series owner, It's a nice car, especially with the manual. As for the engine, my dealer (who sells VW and BMW) said problems no more prevalent than the BMW N20. I drive a f30 328ix and really enjoyed the cc. How do you think they compare based on your testing??

    I work at a vw dealer and man that engine is pretty bad. We go through intake manifolds and injectors and even engine swaps like hot cakes. Very very nice car for what you pay for tho. The interior and exterior are immaculate and it is very comfortable hence the name passat comfort coupe ! Nice car just take cafe of it. Do oil changes at every 5k not 10 like the dealer saids

    I love this car, have it for over a few months now and have no regret whatsoever. Besides the nice looks, it's definitely the engine that I adore. It's distinctly different from all those Japanese/Korean models and is way more affordable compared to BMW/Benz/Audi where you pay 15-25% for the brand name only.

  • @SlipknotMaggot0526

    Want so bad... I don't know why they didn't at least put the GTI engine in it, or (I wish) the new Golf R with 256 HP. Also, it should be standard AWD with the R model. Love the 6 speed though.

    • @darrenloke5486
      @darrenloke5486 10 років тому +2

      This IS the GTi engine. From mk6 though.

    • @SlipknotMaggot0526
      @SlipknotMaggot0526 10 років тому

      Darren Loke I know... I was thinking the 220/230 hp motor from mk7. Although the new GTI has that new engine for 2015, I think. I can't remember the year the mk7 came out. Either last year or this year.

    • @darrenloke5486
      @darrenloke5486 10 років тому +1

      Well, to be honest, this engine isn't a slouch either. (they are actually the same EA888, just a different tune and slight parts change)
      Of course the refreshed EA888 is faster than the previous ones, but its not gonna be like, "whoa its a lot faster" feel. Besides, any stage 1 tune (ecu only) would've levelled the numbers. (my guess that the mk7 comes with stage 1 from the factory)

    • @fartman10284
      @fartman10284 10 років тому +1

      SlipknotMaggot0526 MK7 comes out "officially" for the 2015 model year. Though, the MK7 is already slowly making its way out onto the streets. And it's only 2010 HP. The engine is already found in the Jetta GLI and The Beetle 2.0T.

    • @fartman10284
      @fartman10284 10 років тому

      Darren Loke it's more than just a "slight tune & parts change". It's significantly different in the way it manages heat, so it is more thermally efficient, as well as getting an electronic wastegate, and for some reason, the DV is now a PITA to get to. If you compare APR Stage 1 from Gen 2 to Gen 3, horsepower is about identical, though Gen 3 makes a little less torque.

  • @caseroj6020
    @caseroj6020 8 років тому +1

    I agree this is an attractive car. I went to my local VW dealership to buy one this weekend but opted instead for a Tiguan. It has the same engine but a regular 6 speed automatic, not the dual clutch automatic the CC R had. One thing that struck me right away is how low the vehicle is in the front. In fact the lower part of the front facia was actually broken on the model I looked at. That and the compromised trunk space which I need for my long haul grocery trips convinced me to go with the Tiguan instead. For those looking to buy a VW vehicle with this engine please be aware that this is an interference engine and there is a known problem with the timing chain tensioner on some of these engines. It can actually release tension and cause the timing to skip with the result being bent valves at best and totally trashed engine at worst. See this technical bulletin from VW for details

    • @LifesJoys
      @LifesJoys 5 років тому

      Xania Banks honestly that depends on what you want to get out of the car, for me my CC R-Line stands out from the crowd, there are not a lot of them in my area, as for the Jetta you see them pretty much every where. Both cars are great and extremely reliable, providing you follow the maintenance schedule. So my advice if you want to stand out in the crowd get the CC, if you don’t want too much attention go for the Jetta, again both cars are great. I hope this helps, good luck in your endeavors.

    I love the CC. But I wouldn't buy one now... The new Passat (B8) will be released this year (for the European market) and from the pictures I like it a lot. Elegant and classic, just like I'd want a Sedan. CC maybe still will look better (altough I am actually not so sure there) but the new CC based on the new Passat B8 will be around in 2016 (Europe) and the more expensive CC will still be sold with the old generation tech until then. And seeing the big step up in terms of infotainment touch screen, interior and almost everything else from the Golf Mk6 to Mk7, I'd expect a similar big step for the Passat.
    I simply could not live the fact that I bought a new CC and the cheaper Passat would already have the new (excellent) discover pro system better toys and gadgets altogether while I'd have to settle for the old RNS 510 system and the old interior.

    I'm struggling to find a point with this car. It's Passat sized with Passat engine choices and has less trunk space. It's almost as pointless as the Golf Tall (Tiguan).

    • @Wallriss
      @Wallriss 10 років тому +6

      Yes Passat sized but the CC is still produced in Germany which matters to a lot of VW lovers. While the Passat is manufactured in North Carolina. Not neccesarily a bad thing but a difference for sure. Yes the Passat has more useable passanger and storage room and although very clean and classy it just doesent look as nice. The roof line on the CC is sexy. Who cares if your rear passangers arent quite as comfortable, they aren't making the car payments. As a 20 something that needs a larger 4 door car I wouldn't look twice at a Passat. The CC R-line on the other hand I almost ordered. Im sure I'm not the only person who would have that opinion. Just wanted to give you a different angle and possibly help you understand.

    • @bandwagon240
      @bandwagon240 10 років тому

      JRISS138 Maybe the only thing I understand is the German built part. Looks are subjective and in my opinion it looks rather bland. Kudos to VW's marketing team for being able to push 5+ cars with similar engines and platforms on the buying public.

    • @andyhoov
      @andyhoov 10 років тому +3

      I think the pointlessness of this car is, in a weird sort of way, the point. There are some legit differences between it and the Passat in terms of suspension and interior material quality, but the only real significant and beneficial difference is that you can get a CC in AWD, though that is only in the top of the line version which costs 10k more than the top of the line Passat.
      However, I think it is kind of in the same boat as cars like the BMW 6 Gran Coupe, Audi A7, and Mercedes CLS, which are effectively sportier, less practical, and more expensive 5 series, A6, and E-Class respectively. So, looking at it that way, the point I guess just comes down to whether or not you are willing to pay more for extra style.

      There is no such thing as a 4 door coupe. There is a 4 door and there is a coupe regardless of what the Germans have decided. This horrible name issue has to stop before they name my roadster a 5 door hatchback.

      I've owned my R Line for a year. It had 69k when I bought it, and it currently has 100k. The only thing I've had to replace was the pcv at 85k. I think the problems people have with this engine is due to improper maintenance. Oil changes every 3500 miles, and you've GOT to address issues when they happen. You can't ignore them because they'll just compound and become real problems.

    Very meh. Engine in my opinion is very under inspiring. I thought the point of a small displacement turbo'd engine was to get more torque, power, and gas mileage. What's the point if you can stick a naturally aspirated engine in at twice the displacement that gets more power, torque, and similar gas mileage.
    The styling is also very middle of the road. Not grotesque or elegant.
    Not sure how it drives since I never drove one, but based on specs it and what I have seen from the review its not a vehicle I would consider purchasing.

    I like the look of the car but I heard vws aren't very reliable.

    • @still34u

      IT depends on the driver mainly.. also, reliability of the engine is unquestionable .. we have two VW with over 200k mile each, and .. okay, sometimes door doesn't lock, or a trunk light doesn't come on, but the damn thing starts rain or shine, actually I've seen wreckyard found VW start like nothing..

    How is having 200hp in car that weights 5000lbs sporty. Lol. Only the gti and golf type r are sporty. The passat has never been sporty and yes Cc is nothing more then a glorafied passat type r is nothing but a trim level with a nicer exterior.

    • @blOmsy1
      @blOmsy1 10 років тому +3

      First off, the car is 3200lbs. 2nd, the interior as well as the exterior are glorified, and 3rd, the hp means nothing because the weight of the car gives it more torque

      Yea. Plus it's a turbo engine so like I said the weight is pretty irrelevant. Stock 0-60 in 6.2 and 1/4 just under 14

      GTI curb weight 3113
      Golf R: 3325

      It amazes me that some people still don't know how to use a search engine.

    I'm struggling to find a point with this car. It's Passat sized with Passat engine choices and has less trunk space. It's almost as pointless as the Golf Tall (Tiguan).

      If all you want froma car is get you from A to B, CC is not sensible choice. It's for people who want more style, interior quality/refinement than thay can find is a regular people mover and they're ready to pay for it.
