- The #MustangMachE has been a controversial EV since it first came out in 2021 and for 2024, #Ford is expanding the Mach E family with the #MachERally. It’s built on a GT Performance trim and think of it as the electric successor to the old Focus RS.

Seems like Ford throwing everything on the wall to see what sticks.
Nothing so far. EV is a colossal disaster at Ford. Mach E days on lots keep piling up. Losses in the billions with losses increasing since the last price drop. And they still ain't selling. Only about 7 percent by EV's and they are mostly well to do boomers. They want average families to adopt but the MSRP's are often over 60K. Making even Tesla a much better deal.

@mattmasi303 if the KIA EV6 GT and Model 3 performance can comfortably run in the 11's, some extra power in the Mach E could easily be a 10 sec car.
@@danielkimball3037 this weighs a good bit more than they do though. Has a bigger batt though, so should be capable of a higher c rate. 🤔

@@Waldo1122 Dealers mark them up since Ford gives them very little margin. Its why dealers don't like them. Why should they try selling something they hardly make money at? And Ford is losing billions on them as it is. Like Cory69 said they ain't selling. There are tons of them on dealer lots. Some dealers don't even want them anymore. Its a colossal mistake for Ford.

The reason they aren't selling is because they cost too much. It is the dealers job to MAKE A DEAL not try to scam customers.
@@Waldo1122 That is the problem with this model. They can't make a fair profit at MSRP. Thus the ADM's. Most of their other stuff they will sell at MSRP now. But I agree those prices are too high. They are trying to make up for the EV losses. Ford actually lost 32K on every EV sold last quarter. Facts.
The 5 second limit is a deal killer for the current GT Perf. Glad to hear that is going to be addressed.
The deal killer is that it's a electric POS of car that's 70k. 4 billion dollar loss and counting.
I like mine. I haven’t really found the 5 second limit to be a practical problem in street driving.

This was an interesting choice. I’m sure one executive saw someone trick out their Mach-e and decided to convince them they should just cut out the middle man and just sell it. Which im not mad at. I’ve seen so many customized Tesla’s

I feel like they should've called the Mach E a focus from the start, and doing the ST line, ST, and this as the RS. Calling it a mustang was a mistake

@@sturmbreakers7817 Ford's EV business is a money pitt. They have lost over 6 billion and lose over 30K on every EV sold. Worst part is the lightnings and Mach E's are now rotting on the lots. Dealers don't even want anymore allocations. Yeah its that bad. If anything is keeping something alive its the legacy ICE trucks. And now even those are not selling because of the extreme high MSRP's and high banks of interests. They keep hiking the price of ICE to help pay for their EV losses. You starting to get the picture? Tesla is the only game in town that seems to be selling allot of EV's. They got more range, performance, and a better price then Ford. Ford can't even compete on price. Which is crazy because like I said they are loosing billions as it is.

@@HiPlains1 That was a ford decision for NA. They continue to make the focus/fiesta overseas and they had 2 generations of RS before us. I thought the car was great, I think dealer ADMs shot them in the foot. Its ok tho because now we can highlighter yellow electric SUV rally cars. Really nailed it with that take ford.

They are already too expensive. Dealers have these piled up and they are rotting on the lots. Dealers don't even want them since Ford gives hardly any margin. So they have to put ADM's on the MSRP which really scares the customers away lol. What a disaster this car is. So far they have lost 6 billion and counting.
I’m not sure whose market this is but certainly not mine. I already never liked the original version because of its horrendous looks. Now they just made it even more abysmal looking.
This car is a solution looking for a problem. The GR Corolla is the RS/STI replacement. The Mach E is too heavy and too expensive, and those EV motors don't have the same high strung demeanor that small turbo engine has. And for EV performance enthusiasts, the Ioniq 5 N DECIMATES the Mach E Rally in every metric and costs the same. Sorry for the pun, but Ford is beating a dead horse.

This is garish. That wing is so ugly, and the wheels aren’t great either. Yeah, Subaru WRX STI inspiration makes sense. But what profile driver out there loves a WRX STI and would want any EV, let alone one that costs $60k?

If you're talking about Ford, they axed all of their car models except the Mustang quite a while ago. All they have are SUVs, CUVs, and Trucks.

No one involved in this that is making that comparison has ever driven a MK3 Focus RS.😂 It's not about how it looks, like the spoiler is not what made the car. The handling, the sound, the steering. This is a neat electric vehicle, but comparing it to the MK3 RS is insane.
Are you saying that Ford has removed the 5 second burst limit from the current MME GT Performance or that they will be removing it with the new MME Rally?
