Thank You 👍
Hi Andrew, We stayed there in 2015 before the new development of the south touring area and extra lakes. Certainly is a massive place and perfect for those who enjoy fishing. We liked it so much we’re back there in spring on pitch 26. Thanks for the tour. Cheers, Rob
Glad you enjoyed the tour, yes it's a great site we will certainly return in the future 👍
Hi Andrew and Karen. Nice walk and look at the area. Peaceful right now too, but I bet it's popular in summer. Thanks again. George and Trish - The CaravanningMacs
It was certainly peaceful, could not believe how quiet it was, probably be a lot busier at weekends,, thank you for watching
Hi guys………..Highly recommended site we enjoy although we have only stayed in the south meadows. Booked again for 2022 to do some fishing on Parklands in our new Chausson Motorhome👍🏼. South meadows gets extremely busy and it’s highly recommended to book early!
Supermarkets and take always deliver to your pitch.
Yes it's a lovely site, personally I was happy with what we payed and the facilities, would certainly go back and stop on the Southern side, thank you for watching 👍
Thank you for this review, we’ve just booked to stay in July, we can’t wait x
You’re welcome 😊
I wonder why the South Park section is closed off. It’s certainly not new as we were on there in 2017! Thanks for the video 👍🏼
It's early January, so the season has not started so not busy 👍
That’s a lovely site and it’s great to see the dog walking facilities because we have three small dogs! I hope we can make it there this year. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed the walk around, it's certainly one of the biggest dog walks I've seen on a site, thank you for watching,
Beautiful site, love going there
It really is! - Thanks for watching 👍
It's a huge site and so quiet too. Amazing that there are so few people out caravanning camping and motorhoming this time of year.
I was amazed that the newer southern part was empty, its a great site & we will probably be back in the future 👍
Have you settled into the caravan mate.
Oh yes, don't know why we didn't do it years ago 👍
Been coming here for the last 10 years and seen a lot of changes with the new site and extension on the club house. We think it's still one of the best sites in the country
Yes it's a great site, we will return and stop on the south side next time 👍
Good video.we will be going there just hope they put us on a sunny 🌞 pitch
Thanks - I would have say on a sunny day most of the pitches there will be in the sun - Have a good time you will enjoy it there
Very informative video. How long does it take to walk from south site to the north site
Suppose it depends where you are pitched & how fast you walk, probably around 10 minutes normal walking pace to reception / bar area at the top of the site 👍
Looks a lovely site Andrew, thanks for sharing. Have just checked pricing for summer like you say definitely not cheap! £42 PN in the summer Friday and Saturday, I think they are taking the mick a little there. However I see Southern is more than Northern all year round what do you see the difference is?
Southern is newer, I surmise the facilities are better but can't comment on why it's more expensive, we went Sunday to Thursday joys of being retired 👍
Loved the walk around. This site is high on my list to visit as so many great reviews.
It's a lovely site a bit expensive but we'll with it, thanks for watching 👍
Looks like a quiet relaxing site. Good to see a dog exercise area where you can let them off the lead. Nice little corner of the site you are in. Thanks for sharing. 👍 Graeme & Janice
It sure is - Thanks for watching 👍
Hi, we go to Eye Kettleby Lakes a couple of times a year and although expensive, is a beautiful site to go too. The lake off the Southern site is a fishing lake and well used in the summer.
They have spent a lot of money on the site over the last few years, so I reckon they are trying to recoup their money 😉
Yes it's a lovely site, personally I was happy with what we payed and the facilities, would certainly go back and stop on the Southern side, thank you for watching 👍
Looks a lovely site, very quiet, time of year we guess 😎🙂🐶🐶🐱🐱
Yes it's a great site, we will return in the future 👍
Thank you for showing us around, we are going in March & our first visit
You will really enjoy it, thank you for watching 👍
As I said, one of the best sites we have stayed on. However in the summer months every pitch on both sites will be full, but still a great place to be. The bottom pitches on the southern site are super sized, giving you more space than you need. Oakham is another town to visit for an afternoon.
Melton Mowbray was on our tick list of places to go & not what we expected, visited on Tuesday market day it was an OK market, we were there less than an hour there including getting some shopping from Morrisons, The traditional pork pie from the shop was a let down we've had better from our local butchers, Stamford was gorgeous another place off our tick list, we visited Oakham & Rutland water a long time ago but will probably go there on another visit. Where we live has lots of reservoirs in the valleys around our area first one less than 2 miles which we walk around quite often.
