I don't have rats but I am getting a hamster, even though I'm doing a lot of hamster research I love your videos and I hope to get rats when I'm older so.. Why not start researching now 😂
Grant Hanse good! Some ppl don’t do research and end up with small cages :( glad your not one of them!
Grant Hanse same! i’m getting a hamster and would love to have rats once i’m older and live on my own
I’m doing the exact same thing!!!
Hey! check out the channel KatieAndTheHamsters she’s a small hamster care channel xx
LITERALLY SAME I LOVE SMALL ANIMALS EXCEPT GUINEA PIGS BUT I SAW THIS HAMSTER ON CRAIGLIST BUT WHEN I CHECKED THE NEXT DAY HE WAS GONE :(
My mother had many rats when I was younger and I remember how nice pets they were.
So I'm saving money because I really want to have something to take care of.
I had a bunny but she died months ago and it's really empty feeling to live without pets...I have always loved animals much more than people, because I don't have to fear that animals would judge me.
Hopefully some day I have enough money to buy rats (╥﹏╥)
I believe in you!!
You got this!! I’m doing tons of research after spending a ton of time convincing my mum, she finally said yes^^ I’ll be getting two around the end of this month. And now I’m saving money. I believe in you!
My mother also had rats, except she had hundreds... Don’t ask lol. Anyways, I know you’ll get there eventually on your saving journey! You gotta reply when you finally get them, I must know.
Heya! In case you get another bunny just to let you know they’re social animals and need a friend to thrive!
@@youdroppedsomething4334 I am c o n c e r n e d :)
I would like to recomend the Savic Suite Royal XL. It's the larger version of the savic suite royal double 95.
I have this cage and it is HUGE! Two levels and big double doors on both levels. It was relatively easy to assemble as long as you look closely at the instructions. My teenage daughter and I put it together in about an hour or so. I haven't tested it out on rats yet as I will be getting my first rats in 10 days. 5 female rats at once and 2-3 more rats a bit later. But it seems like a great cage. There is the option to remove the second level and just have a single huge cage with a lot of climbing options for your rats. I might do that at some point. Any questions just ask :)
Eydna Mortensen i Have that cage to. I have 2 female rats names luna and starlight 😃
We have the 95, which is huge, too. Plenty of room for our four to play, sleep and climb.
We got it on Ebay, unused, for 100€ :)
*ой ой*
How much did u get it for also is it easy to access into it?
Equine Rhiannon cute names!
Hi Emiology, I really appreciate you putting the measurements because people make these videos just showing pictures then I have to go on the websites, just to find out it's to big for my space, so having it on the screen is really helpful thanks x
I don’t have any rats but that is one of my dreams you are such a rat tastic owner I hope that you have a amazing day and you and the rats are very cute

Im doing lots of research before getting rats, I'm looking in to adopting two males right now. I'm just researching about health/vets
I need to do that actually. I’ve done a lot of research about food, care, cages, and then in the stage of convincing my parents to actually let me get a pet, I did a lot of the like pros cons research ig. The main thing I need to research next is health and medical stuff. I hope I’m not forgetting anything but if I’m not the next step after that is actually putting it into practice 🐀
when you say, if you live in Brazil, i get so happy, thank you i'm Brazilian
Doors are super important! Trust me. You want as big as you can manage so it's easier to decorate, clean, and interact with your rats! Pretty sure the Prevue fiesty ferret doesn't have double doors, just the right half opens. The Prevue 528 universal small animal cage was the first I one I got (for 2 rats) and I highly recommend it, even if only for quarantines! It's a solid little cage, although most people should aim for a cage large enough for 3 rats at bare minimum, pref 4+. The reasoning; As your older pair ages, you may want to get babies before anyone passes, so your last rat isn't alone! With my prevue, I added a Martin's cage on top to get enough space for 5 (the prevue has a door on top, and Martin's cages have no bottom, the cages sits in a tub).
I have 4 rats now, still separated in pairs, so i haven't truly tested how this set up works, but the critter nations were too bulky, they are a pain to move, and I needed something light since ill likely have to move it a few times.
Never underestimate doors! They are the most important part behind size!
Hello!! I am in the process of researching to acquire my first rats and have seen many of your videos. I live in Brazil and we don't have much information available or specific products for rats, so I look a lot in international channels too, but the main problem is that most of the brands usually mentioned, whether for cages, bedding, food or others, do not exist in Brazil. I was extremely happy to see you showing a cage to those who live in Brazil, I wanted to thank you for remembering us, congratulate you on the excellent channel and send you a big Brazilian hug!! 🇧🇷🐭🇧🇷
Have not had rats for years, about to be in a better position to own some very soon. So so glad you have your channel.
I was not sure if my rat cage is a good one, because I never measured its size. It was a relief, when you showed my cage the first)) Now I’m sure that my boys Popcorn and Remi live in a suitable cage!
I’m getting two does, one a blue roan and the other a black hooded, they’re 2 weeks old today☺️ your videos have helped lot’s so far x
My rats are also two weeks old today! Can't wait until I bring them home. Mine are a blue roan and a Siamese.
Osmo it’s exciting☺️
I'm so glad I watched this! I'm hopefully getting rats in a couple months and was going to get a tank until I realised I needed an actual cage! Thank you.
Update?:)
@@batappreciation9661 omg wow i forgot i even commented this! Sadly I wasn't able to because of covid, but hopefully soon!
@@Froggysoph oh okay! Yeah COVID can really screw things up especially if you’re wanting to go to a rat breeder. Luckily I was still able to get my fish and all of its supplies through a mix of Amazon and my local petco
Update??
Jesus Christ this is old, I didn’t get rats in the end, I got a horse LMAO
I have a feisty ferret cage, and I really recommend it, on Amazon it's only about $118 and is a really good quality cage, I took the middle level out, and most of the shelfs, and my boys love it. I have two younger boys, and neither of them can fit through the bars, so unless you have females or young babies, you probably won't have to mesh the bars. It's a pretty good price for a decent sized rat cage, and I would recommend it if you can't afford or don't have room for something like a critter nation.
I also have one, it is really great.
hey how big is it, I'm getting 2 males and I was wondering about the size?
Is it easy to clean?
popî Its 31-Inches long, 20-inches wide, and 41-inches high.
Riley Sharpe yeah it is, only one of the doors opens, but it's no problem getting to any part of the cage and it's easier to hang hammocks and toys. Also the bottom tray can slide out which makes it really easy to wipe out and put fleece/bedding in.
Took me just a bit too long to realize you were using cm and not inches, I panicked and thought I bought much too small of a cage 😂 I’m getting my first ever boys in about three weeks, and though they’re babies there’s also 3 of them and I would hate to see them getting bigger just to wind up cramped. Thank you for this video, it helped so much!! Apparently I actually bought one big enough for 5 😂😂❤️ It was also so sweet of you to not only do all this research but even to use area-specific currency, you really are the best Emi
If anyone is curious, I got the Prevue Pet Products Deluxe Critter Cage, it’s about 37” x 23 “ x 63” (~94 x 58 x 160 cm), has two rather big double doors and an on-wheels stand, and comes with plastic shelves and ramps as well as a complimentary hammock, it’s pretty affordable for it’s size too, $206 (£168) ^^
Just a quick correction, but the trays and levels for the Midwest Critter Nation and Prevue Feisty Ferret cages are not metal, they are plastic. The Feisty Ferret cage also unfortunately does not have double doors, only one side swings open. That aside, these are both great cages for rats as long as you provide them with plenty of toys to play with and chew on to keep them from chewing the plastic trays.
Yes! Also the Feisty Ferret cage has 1 inch bar spacing, so some younger rats may be able to get out
I have the Prevue Hendrix Fiesty Ferret Cage and both I and my boys love it! It's a great size for the price and sturdier than I expected. However in your video you say it has 2 double doors, it doesn't. The picture makes it look like both doors open but only the right side doors actually open. It's still a good cage though and one I recommend to a lot of first time rat owners looking for a cheaper option that's still suitable. It's also only $118 not $130 but the price of things on Amazon does fluctuate so it might have been different at one point. But other than that you did very well and I'm sure a lot of prospective rat owners will find this video incredibly helpful! Keep being awesome and advocating for our misunderstood furry friends!
This really helped me in my search for a new cage to house my beans XD
I have had 2 rats twice, but as ive decided to keep getting rats im getting a bigger cage to house my first babies to accompany my 2 older rats as i do not want them to end up alone when one finally passes away.
Ive learned a lot from you! Thanks for the help!
wow I'm early!!!!!!!!!!! even if I'm supposed to be doing school...
I'm supposed to be in school too! 😂
Same! 😂 but rats tho 🐁😍
Zara Abraham haha same ive do e like no work 😂
Oof same
Thank you so much for this I'm thinking of geting two precious female rats and I was struggling with cages I was scared they would be too small but it turns out the midwest critter nation (the cage I was most convinced by) is enough for 6 rats! I'm sure my two rats will be perfectly fine in it
This is the best channel I found so far, I'm watching your vids on daily basis, thank you for the great advices for caring for my baby rats 🐭🐭🐭
My boys currently live in a remodeled closet which I hate because I can‘t get it fully clean or hang any toys in it. I wasn‘t really sure where to start searching for a better home for the rats so I‘m glad I found this! :)
Thanks for this video! My savic xeno 3 cage arrived today, I'm getting 2 Male rats and while I read the measurements before buying I was still shocked how big it was compared to how small it looked on the images
I just put it together and it looks huge haha. Do your boys enjoy it so far and did you get more than 2 rats?
UA-cam was listening to my conversation with my dad🤣 I was talking to him about cages and the notification for this video popped up on my phone
I have the single critter nation for my girls, Remi and Rayla, and we took out the metal tray and replaced it with a cement mixing tub which we found at our local Home Depot. They seem very happy with the space they have, so I really do recommend it!
I have the SRS 95 and I think it's brilliant - ours have been in it since October and they absolutely love it!
when i get a job and move i definitely wanna get some ratty boys and i'm so glad there are people like emi who provide so much good info on how to keep care of these fellas! both her and victoria have taught me sm about adorable rodents n i'm very grateful for their efforts to educate people on how to properly care for these kinds of pets :3
I just brought the furplast furat cage, and it's so amazing, I'm hoping to get pet rats soon, it feels so secure and I just love it!
Thanks for another great video! I hope to eventually upgrade my rat cage to something a little bigger, although seeing this video I don't think what I have is bad for just my two rats :) I will definitely check out some of these when I get the opportunity to upgrade!
9:20 i have that cage and i have found it really good! i removed the smaller shelfs and its working really well for my three girls!!💕✨
I have the Liberta Nevada cage for my 3 girl rats. It only has one door, but it's big enough to give good access. The base is wire, with a plastic tray underneath the wire. What I have done is to place the plastic tray on top of the wire one. The wire one than acts as a base for the plastic tray. Comes with 2 shelves and 2 ladders, which are both fully metal (not wire or mesh), so you can either leave them as they are, or cover with material.
Using your vids to research what cage i can get for the two females im getting, they're so precious, honey and nibbles are their names and I'm trying to get everything set up first so i can get them before anyone else 😖 they're so cute
So glad I found your chanel I've learnt so much things that I didn't know because I'm going to be getting rats soon your videos are.so helpful thank you keep making them! Xx
My neighbor had 1 rat in the cage at 5:29 and she hadnt removed ANY of the wire shelves or covered them. They didnt have bedding or any toys/hides they had 1 watter bottle.... They fought and now I have 1 of her rats! Hes doing a lot better
Fantastic advice. Thank you so much for putting so much effort into educating would be rat owners. ❤
I have the zolia keiko and it is amazing! I bought it on sale and was so worth it. The bar spacing is a bit bigger for young rats but nothing that can't be fixed with wire mesh until they are bigger. I have 2 males in it and now that I have a biiiig cage I want to get them some new friends to share the cage with 🐭
I started with a big bird cage for my rats, but for many years I have the savic royal ( I don`t know wich one) and it served me and my rats very well so far. I really like your channel, I always like to see people that are rat and mouse crazy as I am :D
greetings from Germany :))
Omg the rat yawn at 1:40 ❤️❤️ gah my heart so cute 😍🥰
I have two boys (gandalf and radagast - AKA gandi and randy) and I got them a cage like the ones around 9 mins in. She’s saying that’s suitable for 6, and there’s only two of them. I feel like I’m doing them good and that makes me so happy. Bout to go on an etsy shopping spree for their christmas presents aheheghegee i’ve been saving all year for this
This really helped. I’m getting 2 baby boy rats soon!!
I have the 93cm Blenheim cage and I have also ordered the 175cm yaheetech cage to attach to it. I will most likely get around 4-5 rats ❤️ Hopefully they love it.
Thank you for such a great video! I would also like to recommend the "Prevue Rat and Chinchilla Cage 495." I'm terrible at conversions, but it is $120 and measures 31 x 20.5 x 40 inches. It definitely needs to have the mesh floor removed (easy as it's a removable grate) or modified, but it's great for the price. I've had my 2 boys in it since November. 🥰
$120 is £90 in the UK, but I found a cage that is those measurements for £80 on amazon and £67 on the COZY PET website and has 1/2 bar spacing and no mesh floors! It's called the COZY PET rc01, hope this helps someone :)
I have been watching your channel for a good while even though we didn't had any rats or mice 🤗 But at the beginning og the week we adopt a rattygirl 🐀 she is so adorable 😍 We weren't prepared at all but she would be put to sleep 🥺 So we couldn't just let her be! 🙈 Your videos helps a lot! Thank you a lot! I'm happy I have been watching you because I feel more confident we can make it hehe 🙈 We are DIY'ing a lot of our stuff. But currently we are working on finding Maya a friend 🐀🐀 Thank you again for your videos! ❤️❤️
Im so happy i came across this video, i recently adopted 2, 6 month female rats from a friend because she is moving to alberta(domestic pet rats are illegal there) and she had them in a medium size bird cage which isnt bad but its definitely not big enough
It was my birthday around a month ago, I am most def. going to spend the birthday money on more toys, hammocks, and other things for my 6 boys, as I feel it is very empty. My cage might also be a little small but that's something I can't really fix at the moment! At an older age, I am def. going to purchase a larger cage and somewhere for the little dudes to forage!
I just got a double critter nation and a crap ton of accessories for the trade of 20 hours of yard work and painting. It the best steal I have ever foundz
I have modified the popmazing "bird" cage and its quite easy to take the "luggage rack" off the bottom and create a second platform to cover and create a base about midway midway up (So they can't fall so far). You do need to carefully remove about five bar segments in the corner of the "luggage rack" being careful not to leave sharp edges. And obviously you have to cover the wire shelves. There are also about ten tiny bird style doors on the front and sides which are fab for getting to hidden corners to hang stuff, but if you have a stronger Houdini rat, you might need to zip time them shut. x
If I have a bad day, I Love watching your videos! They always cheer me up ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤
Me to love them
Thanks for the info, I'm getting 3/4 rats soon and this was very helpful 😁
Love the video! I have a Kaytee my First Home, a Double Critter Nation, and a Kaytee 2x2 multi level habitat (Discontinued) for various rats. Out of those the Critter Nation is SO much better than the Kaytee's. It's more expensive but so sturdy! Also wanted to let you know you said 'metal shelves' for the critter nation but they're plastic trays on top of a wire attachment. They crack super easy, sadly and are the least good part of the cage. I tossed them and replaced the base tray with a cement mixing pan for loose substrate.
I loved my critter nation, but my 3 boys rarely ventured to the lower level, I'm getting two new boys soon and will only use one level this time.
@@charlottesmom You know it's strange. I have two boys who only chill at the bottom and two right now who only chill at the top.
@@morbius101 , Ratties are such silly beings, best pets ever though! 🐀💕
hi emi! i was there in the livestream on instagram yesterday! stay safe :3
I love watching your videos, it’s so relaxing! 😌🤩
You reviewed the cage I currently own (the prevue fiesty ferret) and the little shelves and latter's are actually plastic. If you are getting baby rats mine actually fit through the bars its the first thing Emily did when I put her into it😂 so we went and got some stuff to put around it and they use it to climb the walls. We put the garden fencing on the outside but they still can use it to climb so be careful. Mine also chewed on that like there's no tommorow so definitely get something metal on the outside not plastic. And lastly for anyone considering this one the hammock is pretty long like almost touches the floor so you'll have to tie a couple nots to make it a bit shorter but my 2 girls love it.
thank you for the tips
The doors on the cozy pet do open into double if you release the catch with an Allan Key. I also remember you mentioning during a review that one of your cage doors rattled at night, I think during wheel use? If you tighten the door latch a bit to keep the doors tighter shut but still leaving you able to rotate the latch you should find the rattle will stop. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much for this video. I've been wanting to get rats, but I want to do my research first. I know that one of the most important things for rats is cage space. And your video had a huge variety!
I’ve started ordering stuff online for my rats I’m getting after quarantine but I can’t wait to put everything in the cage ready but I will wait until I have everything..... hopefully 😂
I did 2-3 hours of research before getting my 2 rats and they all said to have a pretty big cage and every time I see a cage similar to mine it's for 6+ rats😅. The places online I saw said that it was ok for a couple. I'm not sure why I didn't think to watch any UA-cam videos from people who genuinely own them but especially because they are not full grown yet I think I'm going to only give them access to half the cage for now. They tend to get bored and I've done all I can money wise because it was expensive getting them set up so my parents arent super comfy about spending more money atm but I think but moving them into one half of the cage and having all there toys and climbing things closer together it will help them be way less bored. Oh and they also tried watermelon yesterday and they LOVED it.
Recently I've been researching cage related stuff a whole lot more than usual. I've been wanting to improve my rat cages slowly, and I have a huge list of items.
I don't have the money right now, but over time I'll save for one item at a time. I used one of your videos as a reference! I have a tie holder on my list too!
I’m getting rats on May 10 and I’m so excited u have help me decide and navigate thanks so much
Omg same! on May 10 I'm getting 2 males!!!
popî me 2 lol

So pleased to see the savic xeno 3 empire on here! I've just purchased this for my 4 boys ❤ price has gone up though lol
I’m getting a paw hut small animal cage from Amazon, a very nice size and suitable for quite a few rats. There’s also a huge door at the top and two smaller ones on the sides.
Thank you Emi! I have a slightly small cage for my two boys and I'm saving up for upgrading. I dream of a critter nation, but it's impossible to find in Italy, so I'm looking for something that's super easy to clean and spacious so I could maybe add a third brother in the future :)) I'll look into these options, thank you!
This really helped thank you! :) I'm getting 2 dumbo rats for my birthday tomorrow and we found a cage from this list although it will take a while to arrive but that's not a problem as we have an old rodent cage we can use for that short time :)
Okay. I’m in Canada and bought a single critter nation used for $200. I love the cage because of the double doors that open. The only thing I want to mention is that the shelves are metal but the trays that go into them are plastic. They’re the first thing to ware on your cage if you have chewers. If you go over to Shadowtherat she has a video on where to get metal trays that fit into them.
Also, what do you think about doing a video on rat cage maintenance? Like when the bars start to rust ? Or when shelves break?
Oh and never buy a cage from Petsmart. They never last and if you get a big one on wheels, thats the first thing to break. Thats where one of my first cages came from and it didn’t last a year before the wheel broke off.
OMG! The cost of the Midwest cages has almost doubled since I bought mine. I have 3 of the double ferret nation cages. I was going to give them away, when my last ferret passes on, but now I am going to resell them. Btw, there are plastic bins that fit in the Midwest cages for bedding (IRIS 50 Quart Underbed Buckle Up Box, Clear). They are 6 inches deep and just a little smaller than the cage floors which makes it easy to take them out for cleaning. I imagine there are similar bins in the UK.
I’ve been waiting for this video😁😁❤️🐀
You have helped me so much because i am trying to get a mouse and you have helped me with so much of my reaserch so thank you!!!
Thank you so much,, I plan on getting two dumbo rats soo and I wanted to make sure to get the right cage for them xox
I love your videos so much cuz this helps my rats so much in my opinion
Hey! I love your channel so much! I am so early! Love the video! I have the Single Critter Nation but I am wanting to get the double critter nation for my two boys to give them a palace! And congrats on 45k subscribers!
I have the Critter Nation 2 story cage and I love it! Just wish there was a cheap/long term option for bedding in the bottom!
My cage is made from chicken wire with a frame and a large deep base. It is 100cm wide, 50cm deep and 200cm high. I have four boys in it and it is very nice to have made it myself, It fits perfectly next to my wardrobe and I use the entire floorspace in my dressing „room“ (it is just blocked of with bookshelves) for free roam for a couple hours a day. I am either in there or next to them. I am thinking of getting two more soon, bc I want to have them introduced before my two oldest die, so I dont have the other ones with only two rats left
I do see the furet tower I use for my two rat girls. It's good to know we can easily get another rat into this cage. We would like a third little girl in the same age. Mine are 14 weeks now.
I had a fairly large cage with my first set of chaos potatoes. I forget what it was, but it was perfect for all 5 of my boys (this was years ago and none of them are alive now) . I recently got 3 more rats, little girls. I was going to bring my old cage from my parents house but come find out AFTER I bought my new baby's my cage had gotten broke somehow. Now I'm trying to find another cage for fairly cheap that will fit 3-4 girls comfortably. I've got them in a cage that hardly is big enough for 2 let alone 3. I might get another pocket puppy soon, if I find a good enough cage.
I have a 30L x 15.5w x 28h (inches) it's called Ware 3 story small critter cage is amazing, my two girls love it! I would highly recommend it
Ferret nation is very similar to critter nation, only the bar size is a little bigger so you will need to put wire mesh over the cage, but otherwise? The setup is easy, cleaning is easy and theres SO much space to work with especially if you remove the second level! (I opted to keep it and just add stuff around but yk.) But yeah I definitely recommend this cage its also not too too expensive, I believe when I got it it was around 100 or so dollars!
We have a liberta explorer. Paid £180 for it at Jollyes, and we have 6 girlies in it. I'm paying hundreds on enrichment, so they're definitely spoiled.
They are Pets at Home rats. We went in, and someone was planning to buy them for her precious daughter because she'd released her previous rats into the wild, and I wasn't letting them go to that kind of home since they were only young. I'm giving them the best life possible now, and we've managed to sort out their health issues from being in a cage with crappy ventilation.
I don’t have a rat but I love you’re rat videoslol:)
I got a double critter nation secondhand for $100 and it’s awesome.
Wow, that’s amazing. I’m trying to find a bargain like that 😅 except I only need the add on since I already have a single
ive been wanting a rat so badly for a few years now but even though ive been saving i still dont want to get them yet as i want to have fully enough money to take care of all needs and necessities for them!
I’m really sorry to ask but I’m getting 2 rats for my birthday and need to know where to get the tub-aware thing to place at the bottom of the cage since I don’t want rainy rats kicking out bedding or them to get their feet hurt on the wired bottom since the cage I found has that and I will be possibly be able to remove the wired bottom, yet again sorry for asking.
This is so helpful, Thank you for this video!
I like the American one at around 9:27 it’s expensive in my country but it just looks amazing
I don't have rats but your rats are soooo cute!! 😍
I do have the Cosy Pet RC03 only one side of the levels open but it is a brilliant cage. We currently have 6 adult males and 2 10week old boys in the cage so much room to add loads of stuff. I'm still finding stuff to fill it 😂
I love all ur rats there all so cute and 1:39 is adorable
OMG the cage that are available in UK or even in US are so cheaper than the ones available in France. Basically for bigger cages we only have the Savics options and they cost around 400-500 euros. I'm dreaming of something like the "Liberta explorer" for only 190.
But I have the "Little friend Blenheim extra tall" but here it's called "Pefect maxi" an I got it for 99 euros.
3:45 I have this exact cage :D im so glad bc i got mine really cheap :>
I'm a new rat owner (getting my babies in a few months, gotta get money and supplies) and I'm gonna get the Midwest Critter Nation (double) for my two boys and I cant wait to spend all of my money on them 😭😭❤❤❤❤
Really great and thorough video!! Did want to let you know that the trays for the critter nation are actually plastic, though! There are metal bases for them to sit on, but the trays themselves are plastic c:
I kinda want rats because of your channel hehehe they’re so cute 🥺
Hey Emiology, I really like this video and the fact, that you are trying to help newcomer rat owners, but the Furplast Furat - for example - is definetly too small. Here in Germany a minimum of 80x50x100cm with two floors is recommended for three to four rats. Mabe it's suitable for only two, but you shouldn't really kepp them in pairs either.
Ps: We own the Savic 95 for our four rats and I think they're really appreciating the space the have.
Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪👋
Theodor Seidel just want to say that different countries have different sizes, in america hamsters only need 450sq inches where as in england is 620 and germany its about 775💖
Well, the bigger cage the better. I want to cry every time I see a hamster in a cage in size of a sheet of paper... It's just cruel! USA should really step up their pet care game.
Rats need to be kept in pairs
@@alisoldchannel5132 they're saying you should keep more than just two.
Ratter Agreed, the Us is slacking in that department. We need to be more like the Uk or maybe even Germany one day
I have the Midwest double critter nation and I love it!
I would like to point out that the trays that come with it are plastic, not metal, however metal trays can be bought for it if you prefer! ❤️
I wish I would have had this video when I first got my boys! Would have really helped then! Took me may to long to find a cage I was happy with!
you think the single would work for 2 male rats?
Yes! I would say that a single could comfortably house up to four rats, however, I would not exceed this number personally! Two rats would be very comfortable in a single. @@lukemangual-h3h
Thank! Was Doubting the size of the cage I want to buy for 4 rats thinking it would be too small but it's not thanks again!!!
11:55 wo a voliere is what you call a birdcage in france and germany, so the cage-structute is called a voliere.
A "Nager" refers to every small animal that has speciao teeth in germany
Is the pet planet rat and ferret better the the liberta explorer or not? Which one is more suitable for 3 female 3 week old rats?
I had the cage at 3:02 modified so that the doors were bigger and we put in 2 more floors (so there were 4) we only had three rats in it but i found the cage was really nice
My family can’t really afford cool toys, but they get out a lot, so her is my/my sisters rat story, so we drives for a total of 3 hours to get 2 rats(girls) the pet store girl checked, and they were both girls, so we brought them to our 1 cage, 3 day later, we looked at them again, and my rat was a boy, we had to share the cage, but split it horizontally with card board. They got to each other a few times(1 time the girl was pregnant but we did not get baby’s) we got a second cage, and I beg my parents for them to have friends, for Christmas, we got to go to a store (this one much closer) and we picked out a boy and a girl. We got ity bity plastic cages(I begged my dad not to but he said it was temporary so) and we brought them home, and started the friending. The girls was a no go, but my boys were getting along, one night, my newest rat was breathing weird (it was a respatory infection) we took him to the vet, and he got better, but then the boys did not like each other, so we gave up, bought 2 more cages, and now have four cages in a tiny room. The rats names are Jupiter(boy), Mars(boy), Fiver(girl), and knuckles(girl).
I just realized how much I wrote, omg
