What a blast! I think I like the mortars best.
I personally prefer mortar! It’s more fun to watch and to shoot. If your in the area come on out and shoot mortar with us.
I loved watching those mortar fellars. Being able to see the round balls flying was awesome!
Good stuff, Mark.
Thanks for watching my friend...
Good morning from Syracuse NY brother and everyone else thank you for sharing your adventures and your information
Thanks for watching. I thought you may enjoy seeing the big guns in action!
Great video! Those cannons are amazing, I have seen them fired long ago but they never cease to amaze me, the mortars are amazing too. Those guys are highly skilled in firing them. 👍
Yes they are amazing….I’m ready to go back and watch them again!
Playing with real toys !!
Impressive seeing the big cannons firering. Thanks for sharing Mark.
Those cannons were fun to watch...and...they were very accurate shooting them too!
Nice video Mark. That is something I usually don't get to see.
I agree. I've seen cannons fired before, but never with real ammunition. It was awesome!
Great video Mark thank you for sharing 👍👌🔥
That place was VERY cool to attend.
@@blackpowdermaniacshooter really would have like to be there for that 👌👍
Hey Mark this was great ! I once had a 3” mountain gun. Had a lot of fun with it but it kept me broke buying powder for it ! 🤣😂 Just got back from the Wild Horse Rendezvous in Montana. Bunch of great people who also enjoy your channel and send their love and greetings. We really enjoyed it! Thanks again for the video ! 👍😃
WOW....the Montana folks are watching this channel? That's awesome. Look forward to shooting with you guys this fall.
All that smoke....love it
Amen brother...! Thanks for watching my friend...
That must be something. Could you imagine how loud it was at Gettysburg with all them cannons 🤠
I couldn't imagine all that noise either...or ...being one receiving end of such a weapon!
Mark those guys shoot better groups with there cannons than I do with my rifle. Thanks for the great video Mark.
Amen brother..I totally understand that!
Thanks for the videos love them nothing like this close to where I live so I've only been able to make it to 1 old civil war reenactment at least with your videos the one's of us who can't get to the real thing get to watch thanks Mark 👍👍
Thanks for watching. I try to post the fun events that others( like you ) that are too far away to attend. ..
It was great meeting you Mark! I’m glad one of our mortar crews had the opportunity to speak to you. Come back out and shoot with us anytime!!!
We are recruiting new members to shoot mortar, musket, revolver, and carbine. We have loaner gear and muskets so come on out and have some fun!

You hit the bullseye on this trip Mark! Another great video! Thank you for the time and effort you put it to keep us entertained.

@@jameswill1862 Send me your postal address to: yardhunter@hotmail.com and I'll send you one for FREE, thanks.
Awesome! There's some seriously skilled and drilled artillery operators there.
Yes...they were . I was impressed!
I'm sure that was pretty loud and the smell had to be awesome. What a great Display of Power. Keep ye powder dry
Yes...it was. I can't imagine what Gettysburg or other large battles would have been like. These cannons gave me more respect for such a weapon!
I want to go to that next year Mark!
There was so much going on there I couldn't catch it all on camera!
Roy, our Fall Nationals are this October 4-8, you don't have to wait till next year.
@@waynebowen8872 I may come back again in the fall!
@@blackpowdermaniacshooter Let me know if you are coming back in the fall and if you get here early enough we will get you some trigger time and who knows? We might even get you on the firing line for the musket match *wink*
@@robertharrison2593 That would be VERY cool...!! Thanks for the offer.
Great insight for what happened on the battlefield years ago. I'm sure this wasn't called cool back then. Just frightening I am certain.
I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those round balls, etc !
Cool stuff! I've seen a lot of blank charges fired in cannons but never live rounds. I had a Rodman gun (3 inch ordnance rifle) fired at point blank range (50 or so yards) at me in a re-enactment of the Battle of Chickamauga. The whole right side of our line took a 'quail' because it would have been double canister at that range. Got to watch the rest of that part of the battle propped up on my elbow.
Yikes...sounds like a real world experience! WOW..
wow Mark your teaser last week really paid off this week. Thanks so much for taking us along. Heck I can't hit much at 100 yards let alone shoot a cannon with accuracy. I really enjoy your videos and learn every time I watch. God bless you and yours, Bruce
I'm with you brother. 100 yards may as well be in the next county! LOL Thanks for watching my friend...
I believe Taylors and Company (cowboy guns) is up in Winchester, VA, so it might be interesting to stop there when in the area.
I'm going back to the Fall shoot 2023 & will check that out! Thanks for telling me.
Wow those cannons are amazing! I honestly can't believe how accurate those guys can actually be with them too. I guess they paid attention in math class 😆 That snake looked like a Water moccasin but I couldn't tell. As always thanks for sharing the great videos Mark and God bless you and your family brother.
Thanks for watching my friend...
Great video! Those old boys at Gettysburg were firing 1100 yards away effectively! Can you imaging their giant shotgun effect with the grapeshot and cannister shot did as well as the bursting shells overhead? Yikes!
After hearing those guns just for a few hours...I can't even imagine what Gettysburg would have sounded like during that battle!
B.P.M.S. that snake at the end
was it a water moccasin i couldnt tell
all i know is im not a big fan of the things cause they give me the all overs ( goose bumps ) (as i say sometimes the goose pimples)
I don't know either. I saw 3 of them in that creek under the bridge. That was too many for me!
@@blackpowdermaniacshooter 3 of em man I would've tucked my tail ran for the high ground
@@GeorgiaRidgerunner LOL....!!!
The difference between men and boys is the size of their toys.
Philosophy from a man with a lot of toys.
Makes sense!
Hey bpms what ever happened to black powder tv in his last video he mentioned a health issue but haven't heard anything from em since is he OK
I haven’t talked to BPTV in over a year now. I have no idea how he is doing or when he will get back to video posting.
@@blackpowdermaniacshooter I was just a bit concerned that the guy might passed
@@GeorgiaRidgerunner He might have….I really don’t know for sure.
That must be something. Could you imagine how loud it was at Gettysburg with all them cannons 🤠
No...that would be deafening! Thanks for watching my friend...
