Phil is truly the best extreme sounding metal singer and I have to whole heartedly agree. He sounds like the true incarnation of the purest evil and agression. I'm glad someone else realized this. To Pantera the heaviest band to ever walk the face of the planet. - James.
The interesting thing is Phil is the furthest thing from evil that I’ve seen. This was an act at that time. I met him twice and he is the most humble and nicest dude. I even accidentally stepped on his foot - while in flip flops as I was trying to turn myself around to take a picture on the steps of the tour bus - and apologized and he said, that’s alright man and put his arm around me after a conversation of several minutes about the show and the venue. This was the second time we met in 07-08. The first time the band placed my buddy’s Venezuelan flag with the Superjoint Ritual album logo drawn on it over the rebel flag that was draped over an amp near the drum kit for almost the entire show.
Dude his voice back then is untouchable no one came close highs that’s was so strong man lows that was brutal and they wasn’t typical death metal vocals they was philcore vocals baby
What I love about pantera is how fluid dimebag and vinnie sound together. They just have the same concept of rhythm, playing in beautiful synchronicity.
Its actually C# tuned 1/4 step down. Pantera always played everything 1/4 step down of the regular tunings. CFH is E standard tuned 1/4 step down, while for example Becoming is D standard tuned 1/4 step down.
i dont understand why people that hate pantera take their time to comment negative shit on their videos. Please, stop trying to start "fights" on the internet, they are useless. If you think pantera sucks, dont waste your time searching for a video to leave your stupid ass comments on. Pantera is and always will be the best metal band. How many metal bands can say they debuted at no. 1 without mainstream media help? NONE. Haters can eat shit. Pantera is more than a band, they are a way of life.
where was this? this is most powerful thing ever. there is no way there is anything more brutal than this. absolutely amazin. the drums n guitar sound amazing. dimebag darrell R.I.P.
At soundcheck Vinnie Paul had to step out to go take a leak,he told Phil "get a good sound on this snare" Phil said "Hell yeah bro yeeaahhooough!!" He told the sound guy "louder...yeaaaahhhh,looouuuder...hellyeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!!......Perfect!!" Sound guy scratching his head "huh?!!....BBOOOMMM......yeaaahhh!!!!!!!!h!!!"
@sgtBarnes666 Dude... it's triggered. It gives a painfull sound when you actually go to the concert. It makes more noise than the rest of the kit. The sound on the CD's are good enough, in the term that everything is triggered, but live... the snare is overkill on the sounds. It's like a bomb.
only Phil can beat all those black metal singers , godamn!
Phil's voice is UNMATCHED, he just screams heavy
Vinnie Pauls snare sounds Nuclear.
Dimebag Darrels Guitar sounds a Minigun Shooting Explosives

That’s mostly the reverb.
@@mikemelisa1804 and shotguns
Vinnie Paul just casually firing shotgun rounds
This is one of the most brutal live performances by any band ever.
Kings of Metal.
What an amazing combination of human beings. It was meant to be.
I love the resemblence Pantera has with Death Metal
this is my favorite version of this song. it has sooo much raw power in it. the drums sound like cannons.
I've listened to Pantera for a good few years now and it still blows my mind how tight Vinnies playing is.
And that snare, oh lord.
if they ever managed to find a prehistoric human fully intact, i bet it would look like phil anselmo.
yeah, that's why I like the 2000/2001 performances best out of all live pantera.
Ive been listening yo this bersion for close to 14 years on yourube and im amazed each and every time haha
Dude his voice back then is untouchable no one came close highs that’s was so strong man lows that was brutal and they wasn’t typical death metal vocals they was philcore vocals baby
"Hail...kings....das new....kings....stronger than all!" - Phil, 6.04.94 Donington

I read the newspaper to this every morning while taking a shit. Quite a relieving experience I must say. Long live the kings of metal.
And still in 2023 we have yet to see another band anywhere near as heavy, i mean no one even comes close.
YEAH! That snare's bad ass! Go, Vinnie! He's the man! This is their most brutal song! RIP, Dime...
Love this vid so much
I love the evilness 🤘
This is fucking amazing. HEAVIEST Pantera song in my opinion, hands down! BADASS!
down is one of the best bands around these days...undoubtedly
sounds sick live.
Me: Who triggered a shotgun to go off with Vinnie's snare?
Roadie from Hell: Yes.
best metal band ever!!!!!
Vinnies drums sound like booming cannons!!! It sounds awesome!
That snare sounds like a fuckin weapon
Most raw sounding guitar ever, and tuned down from the original recording...sick as fuck!!!
wish i couldve seen these dudes live so bad!
My favourite version of the song
So much power
The drums in this concert basically sledge my brain into a pulp

RIP dimebag and Vinnie 😔
Holy fucking shit THE SNARE!!
Phil's voice is at it's most brutal in this performance, he sounds like a fucking maniac.
That snare sounds like a gun going off! SOO INTENSE!
best metal band of all time? i think so
They definitely are
This is more extreme than other black metal bands, it’s fucking intense
Man Vince’s snare getcha pull!
Best pantera song ever!!! Don't know whats up with that snare drum.
so fucking brutal...
Them live looks fucking insane i wish i got to see it atleast once =(
This is the good stuff
This song was played 2001 July in Phoenix az. Was fucking BADASS.
i swear i would of killed to go to this concert in seoul korea
you got me there
They say Ununoctium is the heaviest man made element on earth, I think Slaughtered is easily heavier
By far the most evil metal sounding songs out there.
I saw Pantera in there CFH and Far Beyond tours, sadly this period is when I feel they were at there best, but also there END
That would because of one man and that was Dimebag. May he rest in peace.
I was thinking the same damn thing. And the solo ( i guess you can call it a solo ) is pretty fucking brutal.
Slaughtered!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear lord, that fuckin snare
That snare must have scared people in the crowd,it sounds tremendous!!
vinnie paul
huge insperation
and a favorite drummer
rip dime
mother of god..
no this was the case for great southrn trendkill, reinventing was made by them together in one studio.
Pantera got better with time. They were just the best in the business.
If its Dime, I got the Time!!

Pantera is so amazing that 10 people went blind while watching this vid and accidentally hit the dislike button.

1:14 wft lmfao Vinnies snare just goes into mental mode, that is seriously loud as fuck.
It likes power of hell, but for me it is noise from heaven 😇 😂🤘💪
what kind of snare is phil using? does anyone know?
He never used a snare to scream like that
you're goddamn right! that album is a juggernaut!
Is Dime tuned down more than a step here? Sounds different form the recording...
Very similar to pantera. check out a band called Holy Hell Rod. theyre fairly good.
boot to the cool
You have probably never heard of St. Anger
sounds like Thor's behind the drumset
MY SELF...INFLUENCE: I !^^
his guitar is probably tuned down to c or something for this, the beginning sounds different
