@@viren_jalkun I play with gas masks of the wasteland and it works wonderful. MAIM might be too hard as the damage is scaled super high in FROST and MAIM’s bleeding can kill you rather quickly from what I’ve read. FROST also has a friendly hub with merchants, and when you really build up a settlement to be a safe place with a few merchants you really feel like you’ve succeeded in making a safe hub, too. I recommend frost plus, which gives you a merchant at the second rank of the pickpocket perk and raider npcs that are hireable through the settlement building menu. Realistically, alcohol should give you a big mood boost on the rise and a slow mood penalty when on the decline and being awake during good or bad mood breaks should influence sanity accordingly. Effects of toxins like alcohol should also stack and cause longer illness even after the toxin has cleared if it stacks too high, like get a bad day after with at least a big thirst on the next morning, maybe also some effect on character controls, like control accuracy and delay, but those should of course be much higher during the actual intoxication.
Youve inspired me to install the mod and im struggling HARD. Gotta say props to the mod creator i hadnt been genuinely afraid to see something move in fallout 4 before
I saw the title, saw the thumbnail, and could only think "oh no". Kinda surprised you haven't played this one earlier though. And having seen a few other streamers play through the mod, it's super cool seeing how each of you differ in your approach to it all. Can't wait to see where you end up after 24 hours in frozen hell!
PS - there's a mod that swaps out all them music with copyright-free music of a similar genre. Although it might conflict with an overhaul mod like this if it changes the music or radios... In case you want to have the radio on sometimes and not worry about strikes from random radios playing. Personally I think in-game music should be exempt from copy strike, but UA-cam... so...
Vault 111 got bugged it happens to me all the time from the inside. The bug prevents the entrance animation from happening. So you have to fall out of the map to loot the area.
“don’t know why the game music is playing… hard to edit in post” Do you record two separate audio tracks? One voice and one game? Idk their method but a lot of content creators are doing that to avoid DMCA or risky content without having to cut entire sections.
So my voice is on one track, and all PC audio is on another. I'm looking into ways of seperating GAME and MUSIC audio, but right now they are on the same track (general PC audio) and any music makes footage significantly less malleable in post
@@DietJoov It's really easy if you are using OBS. You just set the audio tracks you want recorded. I think there are 6 different audio tracks. You separate audio with different audio output sources.

Really wish these survival/difficulty mods would stop being lazy about the damage inflation. Guns/Explosives should be heavy damage, with Melee Weapons varying from medium to high depending on what it is. The fact that some asshole with a pool cue was able to one-shot him is a bad first impression on how they manage damage. Which just tells me they dramatically increased the modifiers instead of being more articulate and change the damage of various weapons individually to account for the weapons individual power. Overall, still seems like a fun mod to trudge through on a repeat playthrough.
It's certainly fun if you can find the right difficulty balance. In the metro areas, there's certainly a "Metroid-vania" feel to it. Skills checks for certain paths, manage what you have etc. It's definitely an overhaul that requires some individual play and testing to figure out what you like - vanilla likely requires over 100 hours of gameplay to really have a solid gameplan on a fresh playthrough
@@DietJoov Skill checks sounds wonderful. Ok, watching this, I'm wondering: why do some people like survival modes? This all seems... tedious. I like the general idea of having needs, but being reminded every 2 minutes is what gets on my nerves. If in-game time were the same as real-world time, it would be great, since I might get a reminder every couple of hours, but these messages are way too frequent and in some cases, you have to enter a menu and click on an item... not really adding value there. I tried survival in Skyrim and, I liked that it made me plan my routes to rest and eat along the way, but the messages were way too frequent and past a certain point, I got bored with the whole thing.
