Drill- Packedge in typical box, came with a tool bag (added bonus), two batteries, one charger, drill, and driver. Two words "plenty of Torque" ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.

Great test! Noticed when you are using the hole saw, you are covering the air vent for the motors with your supporting hand. no wonder they are overheating.. try holding your hand flat on the back instead, using the palm of you hand. That should help air flow

I enjoyed your review so much I subscribed, great video comparison. In the 12v world I invested in the Dewalt 12v Xtreme line and never had buyers remorse!!! I use the Dewalt 12 volts 80% of the time, if I need more power I pull out my Makita’s and Milwaukee’s all the brushless models. I’m looking forward to your next video, thanks.

The bosch is the king for versatility and ease of use . it has plenty of power for driving wood screws up to a #5 . anything bigger becomes a problem . for tricky angles and small diameter applications it's my favorite . if i want to drill big holes or drive big screws i break out my 18 volt drill and impact wrenches .

I know this is an old video and you tested the gen 1 skil drill. But i just bought the gen 2 brushless skil 12v drill. It has to be in speed 1 to drive a 4" decking screw. Not a structural screw, just a hillman 10x4 screw. And even in speed 1 it stopped and blinked once. The skil 12v impacter was not deficient in any way. It sunk those 10x4" screws without issue. Allmost makes me wonder if the drill kit is not quite right mechanicly speaking. It did let out one small poof of smoke the first time i tested it but has never done it since. I am thinking about how i want to handle this. Return it or keep it, register it and test chervons warranty if it quits. The store has a hands on display....maybe i should run the test on their display model?

We use the Bosch drills to drive M3 and M5 bolts for 3D printer assembly. For tasks where compactness is your biggest factor, I couldn’t recommend them enough. We’re nowhere near hitting the limits of the tool doing simple assembly, so the lower torque isn’t a factor for us.

That's a good point. I have the M12, but it's a little unfair to criticize the Bosch when they were trying to create the absolute smallest drill possible. I'd imagine for someone who is doing more delicate tasks all day the power is entirely irrelevant.

@@riba2233 Yes you are correct, compactness is the point of 12v tools. If the little 3 cell batteries could cope with the M12 drill, circ saw, sds drill and cut off tool, I'd use them for everything. But in the real world you find your tools just need those bigger batteries to do the job, or else they just cut out continuously, unfortunately.
I am in the process of building my own packs for M12. I am building a 2.0Ah/40A continuous ultra high demand compact pack for my 1/4 hex impact so I don't have to use the 6 cell battery when need to drive a bigger screw. I am also building a 9 cell 8.0Ah/105A continuous pack for rough in days at work where my XC packs often reach their thermal limit.
The rest of the time I will just use the standard XC pack.
