With my powers of observation and deduction I have concluded that due to the evidence before us:
- the low angle of the camera which is meant to show this experience from our perspective

At my aunties salon, the customers sit in a chair with a heated blindfold and earphones in and a tablet playing ASMR videos. The hairdressers also wear one Bluetooth earphone and then when the ASMRtist does something, (like starting to cut the hair) the hairdresser has to copy the exact actions. This was my idea and I thought of it because there can be some really rude hairdressers out there. It's basically like ASMR irl. This was random. Okay byeeee. 😂😂😂😂

Normally when you are there they line you up anyways. Maybe not a complete shave but they still line up your facial hair or whatever you ask.
grandchamp12345 Yes. It's a traditional thing and barbers are best at shaving. And they can do straight razor shave instead of your regular cheap basic shave at home by yourself. It's also a relaxing procedure, tradition.
It seems bizarre to me that someone would watch an ASMR video and not understand that getting a shave at a barbershop is totes a treat yourself thing.
I do all the time. I have a full beard, so it's easier for a barber to trim it, not to mention it can be relaxing.

It's supposed to be like a barbershop. Unless you're really tall, when most people sit down in a chair to get their hair cut they usually are looking up at their hairstylist. That being said it's still kinda weird, and a bit too close
