I'll Have Another went off at 13-1 odds and paid $32.60 to win. Bodemeister, the second betting favorite at 5-1, held off a charging Dullahan for second place.

2 Triple Crown winners later, I'll Have Another is still imo the best Kentucky Derby winner and he would have indefinitely won at Belmont. To this day, I'll Have Another remains the latest horse to win the Kentucky Derby not as the betting favorite.
Lava Man Grandson of Seattle Slew was the track pony for I'll have Another, awesome to see him still on the track.
Oh my God my first impressions of horse racing when I was growing up is totally wrong this is so freaking exciting!!!! When I find out when the next horse races are here in Edmonton I'm going ! 😁😁

As we said 18 months ago, Only I Know, can put us there in 2014. It was a dream then, as a 10k purchase. His value as of today is 150k, It is a dream come true be mentioned on the KY Derby future Odds, for a blue collar stable such as us. Thanks Norris (Only I Know).

The famous Grand National race at Aintree Racecourse in England has a maximum field of 40 starters and all horses have to be at least 7 years old. It's 4 and a quarter miles on the turf over fences - a real test of guts for both horse and rider.
@@victoriabardsley8097 I think they should allow younger horses to run in the national, like 4+ year olds
@@natecottrell5905 With thoroughbreds they aren't done growing physically until about 5 to 6 years old - I think the rule in the Grand National of all entrants needing to be at least 7 years old is part of that
@@victoriabardsley8097 that would make it all the more impressive for a younger horse to win, plus it would slightly increase the stakes of being able to win

Electric! However, I'll Have Another will not get the Triple Crown. Bodemmeister is sitting out the Belmont but there are two new horses that can run that were not in the Kentucky Derby or the Preakness. Still, I'll Have Another gets stronger as the race goes on and the Belmont is 1 1/2 miles, the longest.
