No they do not use a cage Claudio. You just put your stuff in the pod and then put your lock on the door. They pick it up, keeping it very level I might add, and then store the loaded pod at their warehouse. When you need it, they bring it to you for you for you to unload it. It worked out great for me. Hope that helps you.
