After working with St Bernard’s I can definitely say they are extremely intelligent dogs extremely intelligent

Both are great dogs. I own one of each and they are sitting here looking at me as I write this. Great with kids, good watch dogs, friendly and affectionate. I have a fenced in yard roughly an acre that they can run and play.

Actually the Newfoundland Dog original came from Newfoundland before Newfoundland was a part of Canada. Newfoundland didn't join Canada until 1949 so technically it didn't originate in Canada.
