Cane corso,.. Bullmastiff, Boerboel, Wich one to choose for personal protection professional bodyguard dog. Here i am concentrating on personal protection and not Gurarding . Protection dogs their presence can provide a sense of safety and comfort 24/24 hours 7/7 days. People appreciate their ability to protect while also being affectionat, loyal with love for the owner. Protection dog breed are safety with his familly than other breeds but even so it still needs good education protection dog must have a close relation with owner. My ex Boerboel and my ex bullmastiff both were very friendly with stranger but bullmastiff suspicious of strangers gently by smeling them watching them. My bullmastiff was a real body Guard . My Boerboel was (very) suspicious of strangers in the street by looking at them then watching my eyes to have my opinion if something goes wrong or not with the stranger my corso was different character as a body Guard, Corso is not keen at strangers. Boerboel, it's first professional job is (Guarding, farming, homestead, for trapping and to ward off big animals). cane corso, it's first professional job (personal protection Body Guard, police work and Guarding ) Bullmastiff first professional job is a Body Guard personal protection more than Guarding a place, he is a Police dog. Their 2nd and other professional job needs some work education for motivation and it is good to do a remind for it from time to time. But concerning their first professional role job it's (Much more) stronger in their DNA. I owned boerboel,bullmastiff & cane corso and rotweiller. I am interested in Dogue de bordeaux too (French mastiff). My ex Rotweiller was starting very good guarding at 4 months old, and I did after university 2 years courses for education dogs in Switzerland one year theoretical by swiss doctors from university & another year practical by swiss & french professionals trainers.There is a difference between Guard and protection dog & as i said i will focus more about protection here. Boerboel is the best for farm.About (protection)cane corso is a(ultra) protection dog. Bullmastiff and boerboel are(very good)for protection. But Bullmastiff is (fantastic) protector but I did not use the world(ultra) protection dog for him cause he neither growls nor barks only he do it if he is closed from the aggressive target and cannot reach it like if he is in the car and someone agrees him and he cannot reatch the person cause of the window of the car then he barks . So he always do his job in scilence but very good. And bullmstiff is the better dog for his relation with his owner, his patient, very hight affection, much hight level of respect for his owner than corso (2nd) and then boerboel (3rd). also i did not use the word (ultra) protection for the fantastic borboel cause boerboel is (sometimes)a lazy dog for(Gurad) exemple if the door rings he may go to see who is there or he will relax and just watch you(very well) from far opening the door. So if something happend he may be next to your feet for (protection) or still watching from far so he needs more time to jump from his place to protect you in case he is relaxing and he did this case (not rare)but if you are in the street so he is by your side for (protection)specially cause he is on leash next to you. Boerboel analysis longer the situation than Bullmastiff and corso wich is a good point in "many" situations. Bullmastiff & cane corso are both famous for the word (body Gurad dog)& the word(corso) " the breed's name roughly translates from the Latin as 'bodyguard dog". A protector. About (Guard) dog as I said borboel is more lazy like to relax (sometimes)and I heared this opinion from a famous professional breeder of boerboel too which breeds boerboel and corso even he prefers the boerboel.And my boerboel did the same.But bullmastif for exemple he (Guards)the car if you are inside to (protect)you but if he is alone in the car he may not Guard it at all even someone go inside the car . he more focus for protecting you than to Gurad. He is more professional as a body guard dog than guarding a place but he did Guard the home when the owner is not inside it .One more point bullmastif and boerboel they like to analyse the cituation well before reacting for(protection)but cane corso do not take the risk if there is any potential dangerous so he reacts (more fast). Some aggressors escape from size,face of bullmastiff others get scarey but cause bullmastiff does not bark,analysis,the aggressor can stay in front of you hesitating to agress you or not for a while and when this agressor do it bullmastiff react fast without hesitating to protect his ownrr, cane corso does not wait he does not take the risk plus he barks immediately. It is proved scientifically that dogs smell if the person is aggressive or not. Bullmastiff is is much more sticky to his owner wich is a positive point in protection. About level of barking cane corso barks 3/5 Borboel 2/5 Bullmastiff from zero to1/5.So bullmastif is the best for Neighbour. For me till 3/5 is ok it is not really big noisy and not very often and i can handel with it easier than 4/5 or 5/5 and Cane corso said to have the strongest bite force among them 700 psi.Boerboel is more stockier, more muscles than the others, in general males are between 70 &90kg Bullmastiff male is between 50&59 kilos. European cane corso male between 45 to 50 kg in the standard of FCI and can be 55 kg . But 60 is considered a dog with flaws for fci breeder as italuan corso. but Americain cane corso are heavier from 55 to 68 kg. I saw one 93.8 kg & a breeder tolds his male was 100 kg but want him to be 70 kg ! and i know someone got a pupy male from him at adult age was 107/108 kg and got problems with his bones , too much ! But the famous international corso is the italian fci corso. Puppies of Americain cane corso their caracter can vary so you do not know if it will have the FCI italian corso caracter or not, cause their origin said is mix with 5 the boxer, Rotweiller, great Dane, English mastiff and pitbull. So not all those 5 breads got personal protection as a first job. And there are mix between american and italian corso . but Italian corso fci in general it's caractère is fixe so FCI italian corso win here. Dogue de bordeaux male is between 50 to 60/65 kg and I saw one 86 kg a very heavy dog than the standard can be not healthy. I never owned a bordeaux but I did a research about him a calm dog with people but attacks your attacker, a protector dog with(low energy level)&some people prefer that. Boerboel Ioves cats l . Bullmastiff male does not like dogs from the same sex . Just one more point about guarding and cane corso . Corso is only interested in his familly memebers, he is garding the car even a suspect person is far away from his car and guarding his home even suspect person is in the other way of a road of his home. Corso love a more security distance . On the list of the top (protection) dogs very much often i find the cane corso & the bullmastiff among them . Boerlboel is in the list of one of the best (gurad) dog in akc. With my experience Bullmastiff & Cane corso got much more temperamental stability , reliability , so assimilate into home setting with owner's actions. But other owners of boerboel could have other opignion about this point. Bullmastiff love too much more cuddle than corso and boerboel wich is a positive point in protection when dog is more bond with owner. A one person dog is just a dog that is very bonded to it's owner sometimes to the exclusion of others. Some breeds tend to be this way more than others. Bullmastiff and boerboel are a one person dog. Cane corso prefer his boss than the rest of the familly but still not a one person dog . One person dog is a more positiv point to in personal protection but without it too not a problem when a dog is protecting all members of familly by the same level. Bullmastiff and corso got a hight level in their DNA for protecting their owner in a car. After all of this comparison , plus and minus points of each breed, the conclusion is : I can say Cane corso is a (ultra) professional bodyguard dog. Bullmastiff is a (silent profesional ) body Guard dog. Boerboel is a (Good body Guard) dog as his (2nd job) But some good trainng is a key for much higher level for protection. Dogue de bordeaux i never owned one but i find his caracter more close to bullmastiff and i guess i can put him as a ( Body Guard dog) as his (1'rst job) and a calm dog. If you are looking for other hight protection dog then those 4 breeds Belgium malino, German shepherd, Doberman and Dutch shepherd . about Rotwriller he is amazing but a special dog. He is on the top high intelligent level dogs, few less agressive than corso but now doberman said it is remplacing the rotwriller saying that doberman is safety with his familly. For having a dog you need to check differnt things like the energy level of the dog breed and your style of life etc... In General mastiff dogs types are more suitable for familly cause of their energy levels but with exceptions like the dogo argentino with his active energy level. Great Pyranees are livestock guardian dogs, not herding dogs. Secondly, Great Pyranees actualy have above average intelligence because they are very independent. Thirdly, Great Pyranees are very famous for being EXTREMELY hard to train. Also, their affection level should be way higher. Great Pyranees are also some of the most kid-friendly dogs and should deserve a higher ranking.

Komondor is not a herding dog. They are guards of the farms. Puli was herding. Komondors were guarding dogs. Komdondors protecting more peoples. Kuvasz protecting the animals and killed wolfs that was neccessary. When it a kuvasz is angry they are like wolfs.

We love our Affie but she hasn't necessarily been the easiest to train due to her stubborn streak. She is friendly with kids before she is with adults.

I got 2 maltese and are super bright, if you even d your research their intelligence is quite high on the rank.. I spent 5 minutes training the bacis with my dog and he learnt it. They dont shed and are super responsive and easy to train. Also very aware of their environment. They sometimes even behave like guard dogs. Otherwise they are very friendly and like playing with family and friends. Even strangers they are very kind to them but they will bark at them until you approve of it. Mine always look at me to see my reaction towards strangers or if they walk to far from me then they come back. So I never lose them even when hiking without a leash. It's all about training honestly.

Have had EP's my entire adult life, as soon as I could afford to buy 1. They have all been the loves of my life and my husband fell in love with them too! Sweet, funny, affectionate...and gorgeous. We had 1 so fast you would have thought her a greyhound. All personalities have been very different.

My Bolognese rarely barsk. He is a non-watchdog. He's also quite anti-social except for our family. But he's highly intelligent with a large vocabulary. He's very affectionate but n=doesn't like us or drool. He also hates going outside and would rather just lie on me.

I've both dog breeds at the same time,I think they both are very good.but it depends on what your hunting for,they work really good together,in terms of quail or pheasant,the pointers range out further but if you train a short hair to range he's just as good,both breeds retrieve good but the short hair will retrieve out of water,it's hard to get a pointer to retrieve out of water,in maybe a pointer will be better at training because they're quail masters ,but a short hair will hunt anything if you train him to due so,just my opinion,in again I've had both dogs in hunted them together for years.

GPs, Maremmas and Kuvasz are great cattle and farm guardians that with a little breeder intervention transform into proper pets for most households that provide them with space, they will never work well for small apartments or houses, and need being exercised if they lack a yard big enough.

Several wrong info here. 1 kuvasz do not drool, pyr do.2 hip and elbow issues have been eliminated in all of Canada, 3 preydrive is pedigree dependent 4 kuvasz have zero backyatd breeders in Canada. All breeders offer mentorship and health guarantees vs pyr where the marked is flooded with lots of ill bred dogs. 5 kuvasz are not exactly hypoallergenic but are are much less so than most breeds meaning ppl with low sensitivities wont notice anything with kuvasz. 6 kuvasz have stronger working instincts - again going back to too mane ill-bred pyrs on the market.

Several corrections for Belgians: Prey Drive: often quite strong so they don’t always get along with cats unless the cat is confident and the dog is raised with cats from a young age. Barking: They are average to low barkers. First time owners: NO! This is not because they are stubborn like the video said. Belgians are extremely trainable and intelligent but still aren’t good for first time owners because they have high prey drive and lots of energy. They like to work and need to be properly socialized and well trained from a young age. For their entire life they will need daily activity for about an hour a day in total RAIN or shine to satisfy their intelligence, desire to work, and athletic needs. If they don’t have this daily outlet and proper upbringing both the owner and the dog will suffer. BUT if you are willing and committed to giving the dog what it needs and have a stable lifestyle that’s 100% not going to change for the next 15 years then they can be absolutely amazing dogs in the right situation.

Dutchies usually get along very well with other dogs as long as they’re properly socialized at a younger age to accept other dogs. Dutchies are absolutely NOT good for first time dog owners. They have a high prey drive and want to work. If you don’t train them from an early age and have time to exercise their busy mind and athletic body for at least a total of an hour a day, EVERY SINGLE DAY (RAIN or shine) then both you and the dog will suffer. If you are committed to the required training and daily activity regimen and have a stable lifestyle (you’re 100% not going to change jobs or get too busy for the dog)then they are absolutely amazing in the right situation. They love to learn and love to be with their people. Super affectionate, so don’t get one if you’re gone a lot. Dutchies are essentially striped Belgian Malinois.

I can’t speak for Chows, but the Samoyed comments were pretty accurate (I’ve had 5.) The strange thing is a lot of people ask me if my Sammy is a Chow Chow. I never saw a white Chow before, but a search found a few. Anyway, when people ask, “does he bite?” I tell them “I’m more likely to bite you than he is.” My boy loves dogs, cats, strollers (cause they know there are kids in them,) kids, kids on skateboards, anyone sitting on a bench or blanket at the local college, people in wheelchairs- basically everyone. He brings joy to everyone he meets. He goes everywhere with me, and is never more than 10 feet away if he can help it. A great dog and a great friend.
