Saw the mazda 6 for the first time today. Looks damn good
Had seven Skodas in the last 5 years and still can’t complain so that would definitely be my first choice
Just bought Skoda wagon. Sensational drive. Tried Honda hrv, mazda cx5 and peugeot 4008. Skoda by a long way!!
I bought the 206 AWD wagon & couldn’t be happier! Test drove the VW Passat too, but what swayed me was the 3 year included servicing, the 5 year warranty & some $5,000 cheaper. Am not worried about the badge snobbery nor resale. It’s brilliant & it’s a keeper. I had a upmarket SUV prior to this but this ticked ALL the boxes. Anyone I have driven in it cannot believe the space, the power, handling & comfort.👍🏼
The Toyota is cheaper than the Mazda GT and it (Toyota) looks cheaper inside and feels cheaper as well. My sister has this new hybrid Camry, its ok but the Mazda is a lot more premium in fit and finish and it also drives better. The cvt is noisy when pressed. I have not driven the Holden or Skoda, so no comment there.
Proof why family sedans & wagons are still a good choice for families
I think Toyota pays these guys as they all say how bad the Toyota’s are but keep voting them number 1.
All four “finalists” paid their way. The results simply demonstrate which company ponied up more.
There seemed to be a lot of missing commentary around why the Commodore and Superb received such poor scores. Both have outstanding drivetrains. Although having driven the Commodore for work I would say that its interior space is poor and the seats are terrible. I had a sore back for days afterwards.
So the Camry Hybrid taxi has finally come of age! Very surprising result.

The Toyota looks bad inside; cloth seats look very average!! Plastics look cheap. Not sure these guys should be reviewing cars.
Yes, look like it is still in 2005. Cloth seats looks terrible, still less space than e.g Skoda, but somehow managed to get first place, lol
CVT is a big NOT for me
I don't understand the judges choice. It seems like they wanted to go with something safe, rather than the better car.
The Skoda still easily wins, even against the Mazda 6 (itself a better choice than the Camry or Holden). You just need to sit in them to compare, and you realise the Skoda wins on a number of levels.
I wouldn’t buy a Toyota just because it’s way too common
What about Subaru?

Mazda 6's 420NM and wagon versatility I like. But I still prefer the Subaru Levorg GT-S AWD wagon as a second hand purchase for around $35 grand.

Whats going on, just my opinion but all accept the mazda are so ugly to look at, the mazda looks good even though I've never been a fan of mazda. YUK.
But like all current Toyota cars, it’s pig ugly. I just couldn’t buy one.
