Finished? Part of the roof looks open still. How are the seams on the walls sealed? Is there any glass in that upper window just below the roof line? Is this meant to be a finish it yourself deal?
Thank you for your kind words about our work here at Blue Sky Building Systems. We are quite knowledgeable about roll forming techniques for Light Gauge Steel (LGS). Send us a note at our website with your contact information and we would be happy to assist you in your research. Kurt Christy
I see your reply's 'contact us via email for info'' and I will at some point. Though I wonder if you can just list when the cost is for this square footage for materials and installation? Glad to see you are in CA!!! Everything I usually see and like to consider is outside Ca. I have rocky very small lot in Fresno Co. Want to put small residence. 32x32 or whatever lot will accommodate.
Ya, I am going to assume this isn’t really day one and some time in the past suitable grounding infrastructure was put in place that those structural poles fasten to on the ground
I really like the Blue sky concept of steel beams this house appears to be solid and virtually free of many weakness that plague other timber structures. I hope this concept catches on I want to build one of these new Blue Sky houses in a remote location totally off the grid with an advanced water treatment system.
4 foot panels are premade with the insulation, same for roof wall system includes foam around steel frame to defray conductance of steel only thing i can find about the floor is "polished concrete floors with hydronic heating system"
it looks like the floor is a rolled steel also, very nice, I see many steel framed, light and red iron with plywood type flooring, this looks like a great sub floor, or am I wrong, gotta love steel framed,
I get it. You left me with more questions than answers. But that was your point, right? I like building with steel, but your video does NOT make me want to trust or work with you. And I want my 10 minutes back!
If I buy this kit what exactly else do I need to complete the house? I want to buy this today but I want to make sure i know what I'm buying? Please explain exactly what else is needed to totally complete construction make the house livable. Be detailed and don't leave anything out. Thank you
In Ukraine, a new heater for the facades of houses with a noodle concrete D120 density under the trademark Velit has been developed. It is a durable, environmentally friendly, non-combustible, vapor-permeable heater.
I couldn't find an FAQ section on the website. With so much steel how does the insulation do? I'd be interested in knowing the R values. I see a ton of "send us an email and we will get you information" comments on here. An FAQ section could help solve that. I know many companies are withholding of prices and details up front in order to get people's information and have sales contact them. I really hope that practice ends.

+Mehdi Satter Our innovative Blue Sky Framing system is exceedingly robust and individually designed for each site to meet or exceed the most stringent building and energy codes requirements. They are always custom designed to withstand the most extreme high wind, seismic forces and snow loads. The frame does NOT need to be exposed to the elements as shown in several of the photos of projects built in warmer climates. Feel free to contact us via e-mail at info@blueskybuildingsystems.com with any other questions that you may have.
Wood framing should be banned as it is highly inflammable and rots with mold and moisture.....High time the building codes need to be reviewed and steel framing be the future.
That is not a house that is a bunker, too much iron for that construction from the economic point of view because it could have been made with less expensive materials, that structure is for a building.
finished??? lol, was that before or after the wind storm blew out the walls? just so many issues with what little they let us see here that i think i'd rather live in a yurt (and i don't like yurts even a little bit)
Zeusdogdog: We manufacture our unique framing in Southern California. However, we can it ship to just about place on the planet. Send us an e-mail to Info@blueskybuildingsystems.com and we can discuss the pricing for your specific project.
+Citizen Brain Of course our unique framing system requires a foundation. But the beauty of the Blue Sky Building System is that its foundation requirements are dramatically less evasive and typically much smaller than other styles of construction. This particular project rests on six footings that are two feet square and about 24” deep. If you would like to learn more, send us an e-mail to info@BlueSkyBuildingSystems.com and we will forward to you some detailed brochures.
Come on....where's the hard hats ! You do realize that if one of your workers suffered a head injury or death you would get a massive fine from OSHA and you would lose a lot of money in a civil suit from the injured/dead worker. Even if that is a subcontractor you will still be exposed to OSHA fines and a lawsuit. Forget the fines and lawsuit.....you should care about the safety of anyone on your jobsite.
Kurt Christy (part of the Blue Sky team) replies above .. the steel columns sit on _six footings that are about two feet square and 24” deep_ .. I assume reinforced concrete with the connections to the columns

Not a very good video, blurry and too fast and no explanation and no clear visual. Wast of time!
You can let run it slowlier! --> Settings: Playbackspeed

Very strange construction - same metal parts are inside and outside, it has no heat (cold) insulation.

Since you're located in SoCal, I assume your system meets California building code. Right?
Looks like it would stand up to an earthquake....short of a boulder rolling into it.
