Good tips for keeping up the pump guns, thanks. My 7600 has a bit of dark grease on the top-inside of the receiver and on the bolt. Are you aware of any grease applied at the factory?

I only bought one 7600 brand new, and it did have some light grease in the areas you describe. So I believe it was applied at the factory at least through some of the production years.

@@AKBAKWUDS I'm just wondering if maybe you can help. I have the older model 7600 gamemaster. Looking for a butt plate for it. Do you know what models might fit. Are they both the same size?

@@cuda4094 I believe the standard (not BDL with stepped receiver) 760s from about 1969 to the end of production have the same stock dimensions as the later 7600. So, the buttplates may be interchangable. However, I believe final shaping and finishing to the buttstock was done with buttplate installed, so I don't think you can expect perfect fit, as two rifles produced on the same day may have slight differences in dimensions. What year is your rifle ? Check the date code on the barrel.

@@cuda4094to the best of my knowledge they are the same stocks as were on the 20 ga 870 Wingmaster. So one of those butt plates may also work

Hello, your rifles look amazing. Did you install the recoil pad yourself or send it to a shop? Looking to get something similar done with mine. Any information would be appreciated.

    How is the oring replaced

The rifle needs to be disassembled by turning the action tube. There are holes on the action tube where a properly fitting punch or philips screwdriver shank can be used to turn tube. After tube is turned loose, barrel and forearm assembly is pulled forward out of receiver. Then action tube is pulled rearward out of forearm, and o-ring can be replaced. Heat may be required to loosen action tube.

@@Guyfromyacoltwa Thanks !! Yes, installed pads myself. Not difficult with an electric mitre saw with sharp blade and a belt sander. It takes more care with a finished stock though so as not to mar stock finish.
