I have i.s.johar seen 1966 in the movie MAYA (sajid Khan as Raji) as One Eye. Also in the series Maya in 1967 in many parts. He was there a brillant actor!
Many people loved and remember him even today. He was answering questions in Filmfare ,sharply and wittily, for no of years and earned love of millions of readers.
I loved his films, personality & approach to life. Met him twice in person and relish the memories. His command over English and his art of pun stands out which makes him No. 1 in his profession.
He was as hilarious in his English films just as in Hindi. His character of Gupta, the train driver in 'North West Frontier'
is absolutely loveable.
His coulmn in Filmfare, 'Question Box' is a testament to his unique style & humour.
I absolutely miss him. Glad am not out of the ones who forgot him.
There will not be another Inder Sen.

I heard Karan joharr is his nephew, is it right madamji. First I recognized him in the movie Parikshit Sahni starrer "Pavitra Paapi" what a splendid performance. Ek dum "Kadak" aur "Nainsaniyat" super acting

I S Johar was one of the first hindi film stars to act as a hero in a Punjabi comedy film called Chaddian Di Doli at the peak of his career in 1966. It was a hit film with Majnu. At that time very few hindi film leading heros would agree to act in Punjabi films as a hero.

Tabassum Sahiba, a good deal of gratitude for providing so intriguing and amusing information about legendary comedian, writer, director and producer of Indian films, late I.S.Johar. He was really a genius and entertainment was the mainstay of all the characters he essayed in the movies even as in as serious a movie as Sharmila-Rajesh-Feroz starrer 70's film'Safar' he tickled his fans with his terse and cute remarks while'Johar Mehmood in Goa'was best. Late Johar sahib's comic style was deadpan humour. He will be remembered by his roles by his fans as well as generations to come.R.I.P.

Aunty ji aapka ye show dekhna mujhe bahut pasand hai. I. S. Johar ko mai shagird film ki wajah se hi janti hu par mujhe unka naam pata nahi tha. Par aapki wajah se hume puraane zamane ke actors ke bare me pata chalta rehta hai. Tv me toh inke bare me kuch zyada bataya bhi nahi jata. Mujhe puraane zamane ke stars ke bare me janna bahut pasand hai aur hume aapke through hi unke bare me pata chalta hai. Humari dua hai ishwar se ki aap happy aur healthy rahe aur lambi umar ho aapki.

#2- aap ka presentation style, the choice of words, the respect you show to those people who you are talking about and timely does of some good poetry koyi banaawat nahi koyi dikhaawa nahi, tabhi toh aap ke itne chaahne waale hain jab ke itne saare interviewers aur video banaane waale hain magar ladies mein aap aur gents me rajya sabha tv ke irfan saab aur late farooque shaikh . I am not even talking about the genius of them all Amin sayaani saab who was later described by Pakistan's famous MC and comedian Moin Akhtar that he is an institution by himself under whose direct or indirect tutelage created MC's like himself and a generation of comperes and master of ceremonies.
