Exactly , I finished reading Jubilee kumar's biography the day before.... It was clearly stated That Rajendra Kumar gave wings to OP Rehlan's passion..Due to his Sincerity and generous nature , Rajendra Kumar even refused money from OP Rehlan, when he decided to launch him as a main director.....
He even married his sister to him.

Very good to hear about O.P.Ralhan. The last film he made was Pyaas released in 1981 with Zeenat Aman and Kanwaljeet. He was also to make ambitious movie Ashoka The Great but he didn't make then.
I loved O.P. Ralhan in the movie Phool Aur Patthar Tabassumji. Such a sweet role in the movie. I was in school and had not watched very many movies before. I am going to watch all the movies you mentioned in this video. Such wonderful actors and actresses those days. A Golden Era. Mr. Ralhan’s story is so inspiring. Hard work made him shine. Tabassum Aunty deserves the popularity from the younger generation. As a child, I watched Gulshan Gulshan in the 1980s. I am so happy that she has chosen this new medium to express her talent to the current generation. I do hope it is not viewers from my generation that watch this presentation. I think Tabassum Aunty deserves a biopic on how to live life pleasantly.

I remember her from a book called Tabassum ke jokes. Besides her anchoring of course.
Of the many films he produced, directed and acted in Phool aur Patthar was by far the best and successful. He made tons of money from it. He should be credited for creating He Man image for Dharam paaji. Imagine a leading hero not getting to sing a single song in a hindi film and yet was part of five of the six songs. It was publicised Dilip Kumar would hold the audience spell bound in Ganga Jamuna and Dharam paaji had the same impact in phool aur patthar. Those who haven’t seen the movie please watch it for its story, dialogues, photography and performance of all the characters. Unfortunately by the time the movie was completed Ralhan’s relations with his leading hero was nowhere cordial. Their coming together again in 80’s got nipped in the bud. O.P.Ralhan will be remembered for his grand projects and cost was secondary for him.

Amazing comic timing n effortless dialogue delivery , hats off to him 🙌 Ma'm , u forgot to mention his very grand n costly movie "Shaalimar" which didn't do well at the box office despite its beautiful grand sets, amazing storyline n script, great star cast n fantabulous music 🎶 by R D Burman. Bad luck for him as he suffered huge losses 💐
