Jagdeep Sahab 's journey into the film industry is very inspiring. Starting his career as a child artist in B.R. Chopra 's Afsana, he went on to appear as a kid in many popular movies of the 1950s like Raj Kapoor's Ab Dilli Door Nahi, K.A. Abbas's Munna, Guru Dutt's Aar Paar, Bimal Roy's Do Bigha Zameen and AVM's Hum Panchhi Ek Daal Ke. He was launched as a leading man with films like Bhabhi, Barkha and Bindiya, all produced by AVM. He then created his own style by playing the role of Soorma Bhopali in the 1975 classic film Sholay, written by Salim - Javed, produced by G. P. Sippy and directed by Ramesh Sippy. His character and dialogues from the film are still remembered by the audience. He also played the role of Salman Khan's father in Rajkumar Santoshi's Andaz Apna Apna (1994). Hats off to him!
