Wow, just came across your site. This is real and raw but beautiful. This is how my gramma created many precious quilts. The greater the challenge the larger the love of the finished product. I can picture the hugs you give the processed bolts of freshly died linens as they come out of the dryer.
Radical transparency is really refreshing to see when everything online is usually so deceptively not so. As a creative who doesn’t have the perfect space, it encourages me to use what I have where I am anyway.
Thank you, I'm glad it resonates!! I've been working on being a "completionist" over a "perfectionist" (and sometimes still fail at that lol, but it takes practice!)
This is great! You’ve made a space (two, actually!) work for you for now. Who knows, your dream cabin in the woods could definitely come true. I admire you for getting on with things and doing what you have to do to make it work right now instead of what some people (me) do, which is waiting for their environment to be perfect before even making a start. I’m assuming that it’ll make my head clearer and then I’ll be more creative and productive and part of that is true. It’s also called procrastination and it’s all such a huge time waster 🤦🏻♀️😅. Have a great week and thanks for the inspiration!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
😂 trust me... I totally feel you on the waiting for perfection! That's why it's taken me three years to show photos/videos of my studio space haha. But I think I'm just to the point of saying 'screw it, my situation MUST be more relatable than a glossy pinterest-worthy magazine cover!'... Glad it's resonating with you, and thank you for the vote of confidence on the cabin in the woods :) Someday!
I love this so much! Thank you for sharing this process. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and wondered if it would be feasible given my space, and the answer is YES 🙌🏼 thanks again, love your shop!
Could you natural dye some sheets to put up either over or instead of the plastic shower curtains? I think it's amazing that you are willing to show your challenges!
Ooh I really like that idea! I've considered dyeing my linen to hang, but then I get all whacked out about the cost of the fabric for something that could easily get stained and dirty, lol. But I could easily thrift some cotton sheets! Thanks for the thoughts, and the kind words :)

Love your sense of humor-setting the dye pot!
Haha it was actually really hard to get out of, once I got in it 😂

@@charliedarwintextiles also a recovering perfectionist 😅
