This video will detail how to install your Boost Auto Parts 2015+ GM Style towing mirrors onto your 2002-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 or 2002-2009 Ram 2500/3500. This video includes tow mirrors with running light and signal. The video covers the mirror mounting as well as the wiring for all of the lighting features. The video covers the mirror installation as well as wiring.

All of the parts featured in this video are available from Boost Auto Parts including the mirrors with a variety of options including turn signal, running light, switchback (white running light, amber signal).
These mirrors fit 3rd generation 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Trucks (with retrofitted 4th Generation mirror head) as well as 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 3500 Trucks (including Cummins diesel).

Since you’re going to run the cables through the firewall, you should just tap the reverse output up front and not run the white wire all the way back to the tail lamp.
C8 (light grey connector) on the TIPM pin 6 is tow reverse feed and pin 11 is reverse light feed. I thought about just tapping all the output from the TIPM feed but was already half way done. Good instructions and quality connectors! Thanks Boost.
There's some variations across the years/models so we go to what is uniform across all, but the advice you gave certainly might help others with a similar build to you!
I wish mirrors like this would be made for my 06 Durango. I just want folding, heated, lighted, tow mirrors. I might have to heavily modify a pair I guess.

I'm installing some right now. It's not quite at difficult as I thought it would be. My only thing is my hands are to big to get to the rubber boot in the door jam. What I ended up doing is loosening the top hinge all the way, letting the door relax. Opened the jam just enough for me to get in there. A suggestion for those that are going to be doing this. 13mm box wrench. Would've saved me an hour of cussing and yelling hahaha

Plan on doing all my wiring up front through either the fuse pannel or whatever i can just to make everything look clean. As well as for simplicity sake. I dont plan on trying to run any wires out to the flat bed. Let alone dealing with the headlight wiring as ill be doing a 4th gen headlight swap later.
There may be alternate ways to achieve functions - we film in a way that is universal across the year range.
Power fold isn’t working. Tapped into signal lights not working. Reverse light isn’t working on right side. Running lights work on both. Took a wire directly to mirrors to bypass my splices. Thoughts?

Nobody that does these videos shows how they run passenger side wires. Do you run them accross to the driver side firewall?
Under the dash from the passenger side to the drivers side before you poke through the firewall on the drivers side.
Is there a manual gm style to mirror option without signal. That will fit the 2003 Ram 3500?

@@boostautoparts thankyou. I only ask for those whom have Ram models that do not have power mirrors it will make it easier to install.
@@CloudHindlen All of our mirrors currently are power adjust, however they can still be manually adjusted.
@@boostautoparts yes but also have a $400+ price tag for power mirrors...power mirrors which in this case would be operated manually. Which would be a waste.

You know there is a reverse wire going to the mirror to turn off the auto dim? I think I'll tap that, it runs down the driver pillar and would probably save quite a bit of time and stay a bit cleaner.
Any 12V power feed will work to trigger the reverse lights. Not all trucks have auto dim mirrors and the videos we do must be universal for all trucks, but it sounds like your idea may be a good one for your truck!
Quick response, thats awesome. I did it last night. Love the mirrors, huge improvement over the dodge and hopefully these wont fold going down the highway at 70mph and unfold in the car wash lol, 17 year old mirrors. Auto dimming mirror runs down the passenger pillar FYI, it was white with green tracer for mine.
I have the same mirrors but it came with 2 plug ins for the moving around and the defrosters, and it came with a plug with loose wires grey white and blue.. I know it’s for the running lights and the blinker but what’s what

Is the fuse disconnect just an in line fuse?
It does have an in-line fuse with it

No - it would be a completely different procedure and different mirror.
I just want to change my mirrors, not rewire the whole thing. Don't y'all just have a plug n play design?
You do not need to perform the wiring if you do not wish for the lighting features to work
@@boostautoparts is it only for the lighting? I do have the power and heated mirrors already. Just can't stand driving with them down. Visibility sucks in a ram mirror. Me and a Ford decided to high five mirrors on a narrow bridge. So...I don't drive with them extended unless I have one of my trailers in tow. GM and Ford style mirrors are a better design.
@@maddawgnoll correct - the wiring is only for the lighting. If you don't want the lighting to work you don't need to hook it up.
@@boostautoparts is there a shortcut for the wiring? I mean, if I'm going to have the lights, I might as well use them. Probably shouldn't cost too much to have someone to it. I just hate paying someone else to do what I... well I used to be able to before my injury
