*FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER* we're going inside Ryotaro's house!
His brand new countryside estate in the mountains of Zao. Suitably located at the base of the mountain I almost died on, when he took me skiing in a blizzard 6 years ago.
Enjoy our last episode with Ryotaro and brace yourself for the biggest Journey Across Japan video of the series and release in a couple of days time (an epic video alluded to at the ending).

It might be because Chris isn’t editing this time around. It’s super duper subtle but I can see a difference in how the videos are edited even though it’s the same style and I think this is part of it. Probably doesn’t help that even if there are four separate editors they are still under pressure to get the videos done in 24 hours so they might be picking and choosing to make it easier on them.

There was a super rude Japanese customer in there at the same time as us yelling at the staff about how the food wasn’t as amazing as he expected it to be and that he had been driving really far etc. it was really awkward.
The food was indeed really good so we made a very strong point on telling this to the staff as we were leaving. It seemed like very appreciated praise at the time and we got some extra little gifts as we were leaving.

Make the videos longer pls, it feels like they're a bit too condensed, like they're kinda in between a trailer and a full video or something. It doesn't even have to be anything planned/scripted, but just more of the Journey part. I'm pretty sure most people would rather see more of the journey in total every other day, than less only so that it can be uploaded as soon as possible.

Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed that Ryotaro's house wasn't a secret volcano base with laser turrets and some sort of missile of doom....

I don't think Chris and Ryotoro ignored the gzoya chef, it just looks that way in the edit. You can tell by the way the chef's position changes.
Chris and Ryotoro always engage with the chef/shop owners in their vid.
