Eventually Natsuki is just gonna get a straight-up Like A Dragon intro. Black and white freeze frame and everything whilst riding a motorbike through a sewer while working a huge pipe.
the rivalry between Natsuki & Ryotaro always bring me joy, also i love that Pete joined this time, his energy is fantastic. big respect to all the places that build Ice Villages/hotels
If UA-cam doesn't send this out to other people on the internet there is something crucially wrong with the algorithm. This was an amazing video and I can't wait for the others! Keep up the amazing work Chris👍
It's unfortunate but the algorithm basically assesses if the video has broad appeal (pun not intended), and if so it'll throw the video at everyone and their Mum. But if the topic is a bit niche, or has less clicks it doesn't bother. It's a constant battle these days! That's why everyone has to resort to twatty clickbait titles/topics and thumbnails.
@@AbroadinJapan Well, I got it recommended 4 seconds after it got uploaded (definitely the fastest I've seen for any video), so at least the algorithm knows what some of us want. ;)
His cinematography is AMAZING! Chris is definitely my favourite UA-camr. Interesting subjects, entertaining personality, and his shots are getting to a point where he could totally do his own movie

As a long time viewer, the progress of the channel's production and cinematography is amazing, yes. But what gets me is the music; Chris has always picked amazing music for his videos, and it is a surprisingly warm and nostalgic feeling when he uses music that reminds me of an older video that I love. Is it just me? I keep rewatching his videos, can't help it. Thank you for the amazing content, Chris!
Absolutely agree! Everytime I watch his videos and especially JAJ, I go "Wow! That song is beautiful!". I wish I could just buy an Abroad in Japan Soundtrack and listen to the tracks in the background while I'm writing or something. :)
As a huge fan of classic rock and 80's pop I couldn't agree more, music is a huge part of filmmaking and Chris always picks great tracks and has a simplistic but classic and very effective style with his use of sound effects.
That lady's expression when she entered the ice room and saw Pete & Natsuki doing weird shit was priceless lmao Also, them going like "we're normal adult men, doing normal things" once they saw her xD
I gotta say it is impressive how you manage to find more and more interesting places every single time. With how you once said you've already been to every prefecture I assumed you'd have seen everything already, but this is something else.

I’ve always appreciated how much effort goes into the making of these videos. From the scripting, to the production quality; everything is always so well put together!! I feel like I’m watching a program on TV instead of a UA-cam channel. Thanks for always making such high quality content, Chris!
Not me imagining a full backstory for this incredible intro. It's basically Natsuki learning by casualty about this trip and deciding to eliminate all the possible contenders to his spot, because of course he really wanted to go. Him actually being invited saved Ryotaro’s life, who just wanted to enjoy those gummy bears and now have a window to pay for and huge paranoia for at least some months. Yes, I'm weird don't judge me. 😂
This is possibly the best journey across Japan episode to date! Loved seeing Pete involved, he’s such a fun addition to the gang! Excited for the next episode…🎉
Superb! IMHO you're the internet's ambassadors to Japan ❤️ Your channel massively helped my last trip which heavily featured Kyushu, my next trip is Northern Honshu and onwards to Hokkaido - looking forward to the rest of the series 😊
Yes! A perfect watch after a long workday. The production value was great (Chris is somehow improving with each series)- and everyone looked like they were having an awesome adventure. These had better do well! Journey across japan is a favorite series and I can't wait to see more of them.
I am overjoyed watching yet another Journey across Japan. Pete just cracks me up, and I love the rivalry between Natsuki and Ryotoro! Thank you, Chris, for all the work you do to make these happen.
Journey Across Japan is my favorite UA-cam series ever. Sad the algorithm doesn't favor amazing content like this anymore 😢 Thank you for still making this series despite the algorithm being dumb, Chris!

If I'm being honest Chris, you've become one of the best channels on UA-cam for making these kinds of videos, and I'm not just saying that. Kudos to you and your mates!
Chris you're killing it. These videos always have me craving a third trip back to Japan. Question for you: when the four of you hang out off camera between shoots, do you guys all speak Japanese for Natsuki's sake, or do you keep it English to help him learn more of it?
The ice village looks amazing! Journey Across Japan just keeps getting cooler and cooler... Looking forward to another amazing series, you, Joey, Natsuki and Pete are bloody hilarious to watch. Top notch yet again!
Best birthday present I could have asked for! Thanks for another memorable journey. And the SPX at the beginning with Risottaro and the car window glass is pretty impressive! 👏
Haha Chris mentioned in his podcast that he threw ice into the car to simulate the broken window. Ryotaro also got to experience some frozen frontiers :P
The production value on this one was amazing. Super excited for the rest of this series and what an interesting view on a part of Japan you don't hear anything about.
This was simply brilliant. I loved that Ryotaro cameo. The cinematic take made me question if Chris has taken any film studies classes. The whole crew did an amazing job to shape this video. I feel blessed to be able to experience every nook and cranny of japan through your lenses Chris. Thank you so much🤗
Having watched Pete's BTS Twitch streams of the filming of this, it's amazing (and completely unsurprising of course) how much work went into this and all of the other projects on the channel. Awesome video and great to see the polished version!
Natsuki's Sauna Finland was very heartwarming momento! Hokkaido seems so similar with Lapland of Finland. But congrats for whole team with Winter spirit and endurance! Cold weather requires its own mentality.
That intro hit different! Even the Title went hard. Great production and edits! They seemed higher quality this adventure!🤩 LOVE the crew you brought together! They're always a great time! This video felt unique due to the total contrast of past video's environment! Ty!

This must be the first time I went somewhere in Japan before Chris made a video on it, but it was an amazing experience filled with amazing people , I think this side of the far north is worth it
Each video becomes more cinematic and I love it. Only Natsuki was aiming through the front window and the bullet came in through the side window lol. All the places you visited and activities you did were epic to watch
This is the best channel for me. I can’t believe I just discovered it yesterday despite my feed on YT is mostly about Japan. Natsuki is like 90% the reason I followed this channel.
Awesome start to a new Journey across Japan season! I was so excited when the trailer launched. I can't imagine how cold it must have been. As always the video is a really entertaining content mix of amazing landscape shots, fun activities, mouthwatering food and a nice accommodation :)
The production value, the cool amount of stuff discovered and did and also the pure chemistry between everyone involved is why I just love this channel so much. Everybody’s hard work going into this so awesome and the amount of fun it looks like they all have together is really a blast to watch. Hey Chris, i just wanted to leave a comment to say how much I enjoy your videos! The way you narrate and construct each episode is so well done. I've been following you for some years now and i have probably seen all journey across Japan episodes multiple times because they are just so beautiful and entertaining to watch. I was so happy when you announced that you want to try and focus on this style of video more now. I'm always looking forward to your next video ✨
I love these trips so much! The quality of the video is insane! This place is so beautiful would love to travel over there someday. But tbh Natsuki is just so hilarious! 🤣 He's killing me everytime! Can't wait for the next episode!
The effort, passion, and skill that goes into your videos are so inspiring!! You capture the wonder and fun of everything you showcase and you do it in such a polished way, it's the level of confidence and experience I want to reach as an artist as well someday.
Chris, you've assembled an incredible team of remarkable individuals who truly legends and the chemistry between you all is awesome. Abroad is Japan is so distinctive, it's virtually inimitable. Keep it up!
Absolutly fantastic video Chris and the gang. You guys do some of the best videos on UA-cam. Great camera shots, great music selection, great people in the videos and top production and editing. 10/10 would watch again.
This was so entertaining and very interesting! You're all the dream team whenever you go on adventures together, camera shots were STUNNING and overall, this was a thoroughly enjoyable watch, looking forward to watching the rest soon! 😍
Ok, couldn't stop myself from waiting for the full journey to be uploaded. Also can't shake the feeling that Chris is trying to complete a map of sorts. First he wants to visit everything, now he wants to get all the most extreme cardinal directions. It's like a game of Risk and Chris pulled some very specific goals to win.
Damn going for that trick shot where you're clearly aiming straight through the windshield but the impact comes from side window. Guy's good. Natsuki knows the JFK Magic bullet technique.
@abroadinjapan where are your winter boots at 10:25 !!! I’m from Canada and I love this video. The trick is to bundle up in layers and have different sets of socks, gloves, mittens, hats, scarves, etc. The doggies were so adorable!!! 🥰

Who else here has been EXCITED for this Journey video to come out?
Me!!
Definitely me ❤❤❤
Me, this is my first video since I subscribed, I have been binge watching all week ❤

I love "Journey across Japan" so much! Thank you for bringing back the adventures and the boys. Your work is amazing. ❤
Chris did it again. Another great Journey across japan. Ty for the work
As someone from the cold north, I feel at home. This is is going to be my favorite season of journey
Yay, you covered the Ainu a bit! I'd love to see a documentary about these people and their history :)
Japanese people in Tohoku usually have a mixed ainu ancestry.
NEXT LEVEL production The youtube quality bar has just been reset very high. Well done Chris and the team
The quality of that opening sequence is fantastic!
This was so entertaining and very interesting! You're all the dream team whenever you go on adventures together, camera shots were STUNNING and overall, this was a thoroughly enjoyable watch, looking forward to watching the rest soon! 😍
What an explosive start to another Journey Across Japan!
Gotta say, these Journey Across Japan seasons keep getting better!
15:45 Suomi mainittu! Torilla tavataan!
Damn going for that trick shot where you're clearly aiming straight through the windshield but the impact comes from side window. Guy's good. Natsuki knows the JFK Magic bullet technique.
It's refreshing to see The Curving Technique making a comeback in the assassination circles!
I love you Chris, for improving relations for the UK and the lovely people of Japan
@abroadinjapan where are your winter boots at 10:25 !!! I’m from Canada and I love this video. The trick is to bundle up in layers and have different sets of socks, gloves, mittens, hats, scarves, etc. The doggies were so adorable!!! 🥰
Awesome video Chris! Super interesting and fun to watch. Glad you brought back Journey Acrosd Japan and the crew.
