Ridiculous portion sizes aside - I hope this vid encourages people to visit this restaurant!! The owner is so sweet, and they feed any fish leftovers to local cats that are waiting outside 🥹🐈❤
Those cats are gonna be chonky after three whole bowls worth of fish lol But actually, I'm kind of tempted to visit there. For... smaller portions of course...

Not sure who I would call the winner here. It really depends on whether you want the cats to stick to your body all day or not.
I have seen this restaurant via Japanese TV show back in late 2000s, the show was about people who can eat a lot challenge dishes that are super seized (1-3kg per serving) the tuna don featured here is actually smaller than before, the guy who was on the challenge ate a 2.7kg tuna don all by himself lol😅
It's funny that Sharla thought the marshmallow car was creepy, it was like a minute after Chris pointed out the 'ghost' - and I was left thinking: how is it when the Japanese try to 'cartoonise' a scary creature, it ends up looking cute? But when they 'cartoonise' a cute creature it ends up looking scary? My son's acquired a load of anime toys over the years, but I find them so creepy he has to keep them hidden from my sight.
I loved the bit around 8:50 when he says "Wait a minute, I've just detected you've dumped a gigatonne of food into the stomach, stop now - stop". I was having a drink and almost spat it out, the stomach acting like an angry Brit being inconvenienced at the workload you've just given them without them initially realising is a funny concept
So in Japan people don't take home the leftovers? 😮 You could feed at least 3 more people with all that food... I think it was very sweet of the owner to give you gifts.☺🥰
I remember going to Towada in 2014. Absolutely loved it. There was a festival going on there. Went with my host sister and brother from my high school days.
I vote for the Chip Bag. Seems much more sustainable use than the baby sling, unless you find a nice place in the sun to hang the sling for the cats to use whenever. And, now I want to go try that Tuna bowl. I tend to eat 40-50 pieces of sashimi/sushi when I get to enjoy it.
Fun fact! A 150 pound person has a daily mercury limit of 6.8 micrograms. 2 pounds of fresh raw tuna has 320 micrograms. When it comes to the monthly limit, that is 125% in one bowl! I'm no environmentalist but its a travesty what has been done to our oceans.
Oh, how I hate that Japan doesn't allow for taking home food. I wonder if any of these food challenges can just be ordered as take-out, so that you can finally store the rest at home. Edit: I saw Sharla's comment that the leftovers of the tuna goes to the stray cats around the restaurant, so that's good 😊

I felt hungry and drooling everytime Chris goes on a food trip
Sharla absolutely wins best gift. Sure, the bag is nice for a little while, but being swaddled and carried around? Kitty heaven.
That t-shirt you got actually had a cool design, might have to go there just for that!
'Impressive sculpture" is by far the greatest compliment Chris has ever introduced a friend by
How many thoughts do you think were going off in Chris's head when Sharla showed the baby carrier 😂
Dunno, Sharla's been pretty clear that she doesn't want kids, they're in agreement on that.
Guys (and Gals)... When you both decided to dump food in the other's bowls!... That was totally hilarious!... Had me howling!!!... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Sling also came in a nice box, so that's a 2 in1!
How sweet of Chris to get gifts for his children
Sharla and Chris work so well together
Heeeere fishy fishy fishy.. 🐟🐟🐟
The cats probably would have liked the leftover tuna the most 😊
Sharla looks stunning & I love how the owner kept bringing you goodies😂
I love the Sharla Wobble at 15:10 really brings home how full she is 😂
Sharla and Chris being soulmates all episode
It's funny that Sharla thought the marshmallow car was creepy, it was like a minute after Chris pointed out the 'ghost' - and I was left thinking: how is it when the Japanese try to 'cartoonise' a scary creature, it ends up looking cute? But when they 'cartoonise' a cute creature it ends up looking scary?
My son's acquired a load of anime toys over the years, but I find them so creepy he has to keep them hidden from my sight.
I'm team Sharla all the way. Go Sharla. You got this challenge.
Sharla looks absolutely stunning throughout this whole video ☺️🤍
I loved the bit around 8:50 when he says "Wait a minute, I've just detected you've dumped a gigatonne of food into the stomach, stop now - stop". I was having a drink and almost spat it out, the stomach acting like an angry Brit being inconvenienced at the workload you've just given them without them initially realising is a funny concept
So in Japan people don't take home the leftovers? 😮
You could feed at least 3 more people with all that food...
I think it was very sweet of the owner to give you gifts.☺🥰
It’s such a waste I would definitely take them home
You can I think but that is uncooked tuna. That sounds like a recipe for disaster if you leave it uneaten for too long.
@@bryandavidasuncion9515 yeah but you could cook it once you get home
Hmmmmmm is definitely worth to try 😮😅 a
@@chiyopipi5672they won’t be home for a while though
Sharla: I hope it's good
Chris: 😈
Glad to find your channel first timer here very entertaining and educational, Have you done any video on cat island?
Oh, how I hate that Japan doesn't allow for taking home food. I wonder if any of these food challenges can just be ordered as take-out, so that you can finally store the rest at home.
Edit: I saw Sharla's comment that the leftovers of the tuna goes to the stray cats around the restaurant, so that's good 😊
The place is 3.5 stars because they go the extra mile only when a camera is running. Apparently they've been featured on other programs before.
It's like the Pixar car that has had the worst allergy to something
Of all the improbable phrases I never expected to encounter, "...a diabolical portion of tuna" is one of them. 😎
