Next up on Journey Across Japan we head to the Fukushima Exclusion zone to see how life has changed in the four years since our last visit for the documentary.

Natsuki’s understanding of English always been quite good when you consider the astute observation in his random comments … he just mangles the grammar and structure….even when his seemingly random choice of words at first glance is weird to a native speaker, it conveys the right message across. If he moved to an English speaking country, he probably get very good in a short amount of time as he seems to learn it in a natural non-traditional non-textbook way
I watched a lot of videos, trying to understand Japan’s interesting relationship with the English language. I never really grasped it until I heard Natsuki speak. A lot of the time, they’re just having fun with the language. It’s like a novelty or a pop culture reference.
Natsuki singing “Give it away, give it away, give it away, now” made me hysterically laugh 😅 He’s so hilarious, I’ll miss watching his energy on the journey ❤️🌶️
When they made the cameraman join in on the spicy ramen I started wheezing. That's exactly how you'd handle spicy ramen with your friends. Coerce everyone into eating it and then all freak out together. Love it. Keep it up guys!
Chris, what a difference having a team do your editing! You look so peppy and well rested during each episode!! Love it!!! Stay safe, keep doing what you guys are doing! Hugs to you and Natsuki from Chicago!!
Yes! As someone who gets too anxious about the thought of travelling (need for money, more money, itineraries, reservations, bookings, timings, restrictions, luggages, language barriers, getting lost in the train stations, bumping into a random yakuza on the streets etc.), I only prefer to live vicariously through videos like these! I'm saved from anxiousness AND I "experience" it as well!
You could tell giving Natsuki the spicy ramen was meant to be playful because I don't think Chris expected it to be THAT spicy. Awesome video and I agree. Best Ramen was probably at the last shop. It looked so good.
I like how they're interviewing actual people who live and work in these areas, not just reacting to wacky and weird things that other youtubers seem to fall into.
I always love watching you and Natsuki chow down on food. Getting a glimpse of the local culture and you guys talking about it over some nice meals never gets old for me.
What I miss about the first Journey Across Japan is the unexpected. You were out there having an adventure where anything might happen, and the camera was always rolling unless you were pretty sure it was going to be twenty kilometers of boring riding, so we got to go on that adventure with you. This is more like a bunch of regular UA-cam videos all in a row. I'll take it! But you mentioned you felt like you'd gotten away from the energy of the first JAJ, and I think that's part of what made it special.

So , I had switched to get Cambodian Asian fusion ones at our local restaurant called Bowl of Flames. Their healthy delicious flavorable dishes comes in mild , hot to extremely hot spices. One serving is enough for two people or two meals for one person.😂 ❤

Amazing content as always Chris! But one thing that seems to be missing is what I think made season one so memorable. 5:00 when you praise Nakski for his good English, his little smile is so sweet. Love Natksi and that little smile melted my heart. Also got a craving for ramen now, wish I could reach into the screen!
I love this video! I'm an American, never been to Japan, and up until a few years ago, I thought that American-style "instant ramen" was the only kind of ramen in the world! Happily, I know better now. If I had been with you on this trip, I would have gladly eaten real Japanese ramen three times in one day! (In fact, this challenge would have given me a perfect excuse!)

It was that strong, even as far away as Osaka. Scary, sad, and uncertain times. I still get emotional thinking about all the lives lost, and devastation. Thank you for re-visiting Fukushima and continuing to tell the story. I'm looking forward to your next episode.💙

Always loved Kitakata style ramen since I was 4 yrs old. Glad Mr Affable featured this type of ramen that probably not so many tourists know about. I recommend trying Kitakata Bannai Ramen shop to all tourists coming to Japan, definitely much better than Ichiran.
Natsuki reminds me of my friend Kuni. His energy and his joy in hanging out and just living the moment is awesome. We haven't seen each other for many years but I will never forget the 'japanese drinking games' we played in the pub when he was over here in the UK. I can still picture him in the back of a taxi with his head leaning on the opened window (utterly drunk) giving me the victory sign with a big grin on his face.
Natsuki continues to be a treasure, so naturally funny and charismatic. I never want to be assumptive, but to put it as lightly as possible, I worry Natsuki looks greyer and wider than I remember more and more. I worry he's still working himself to death while eating mindlessly during these getaway vids. I love seeing him and hope he continues to be in all these videos, I just hope he is taking good care of himself in general. Thanks as always for the great videos! Fantastic to see Kitakata again, it's definitely somewhere I would love to visit on a trip to Japan; although I don't think I will be having ramen three times in one day 😂.
Natsuki, you were such a good sport in this episode and well done for trying the red hot chili pepper ramen, you ate so much of it considering the others couldn’t even try the smallest bit of broth without coughing. Well done Natsuki 👏🏻🏆
I'm always envious of the food I see being eaten by Chris and co And this episode was no different lol . I really want to try that spicy ramen looked amazing!
I know I'm not the only one who's feeling hungry after watching that! Fantastic to see Kitakata again, it's definitely somewhere I would love to visit on a trip to Japan; although I don't think I will be having ramen three times in one day 😂.
Mmm me too 😊
The funniest and most fun UA-cam video I've seen, since you sampled most of the alcoholic drinks of Japan.
Natsuki, you were such a good sport in this episode and well done for trying the red hot chili pepper ramen, you ate so much of it considering the others couldn’t even try the smallest bit of broth without coughing. Well done Natsuki 👏🏻🏆
I really like that they had interviews from the people working at the ramen restaurants. I think that puts this channel apart from a lot of others.
Natsuki always knows what to say to make the video even better 😂
I'm already loving these videos and we're only at the start ❤ "death spice" Natsuki is so dramatic, I love him
I laughed out loud at Natsuki's second bite! "I wanna die!"
I'm always envious of the food I see being eaten by Chris and co
And this episode was no different lol . I really want to try that spicy ramen looked amazing!
I love how Natsuki can say stuff in english, which is so colourfull, and then bring deadpan stuff in japanese like " you suck".
Can't wait for next episode! Documentary Chris has gotta be one of my favourite Chrises!
My heart raced when Chris said, "melts in your mouth."
I'm tamed by this channel🥰
You know what, the intro music of your channel put me back in the 90's. Truly japanese honestly
That Spicy Ramen totally looks delicious. I gotta get back to Japan one of these days.
Oh I'm so excited every time AbroadinJapan posts
I know I'm not the only one who's feeling hungry after watching that! In the UK I literally just finished my evening meal when this episode launched, but now I'm drooling for ramen, that I can't get here! :-/ Looking forward to tomorrow. I guess it's 4am over there. I hope the editors haven't been up working all this time! ;)
Welcome to Fukushima! I am so happy that you're in our lovely prefecture!!! I hope that you've been having a wonderful time in the best place in Japan!! :3
I cannot wait to see how the rest of this journey rolls out!
Such a blessing to have a video a day! Nice to wake up to another video from Chris!
This series is so much fun to watch cant wait for next week! Btw did I miss being able to give challenges or is there still a place to do that?
I love Natsuki; he's such a good sport. This series is so entertaining!
In regards to the subject of Japan no other channel on UA-cam is as informative and yet hilariously entertaining as this one.
Oh, the outside snow
Here, the inside snow, nestled
in the ramen bowl
A haiku just for you! I just couldn't help myself but to try, what Natsuki said was just so poetic lol.
Headed to Japan in a month. Am so invested in the series! Can't wait for the next episode!
