    ~Production Notes~
    Welcome to a video that is basically me avoiding the word girl for 8 minutes straight... But also all other related terms are worse. just so much worse.
    I don't know who came up with the theory that people are better able to discuss emotional(/tabu) topics in foreign languages, but that has definitely not been my experience.

      Why have you not released a video in one year

    I've just found your channel this morning, and was immediately sucked into your videos. I understand the need to take extended breaks from things when the tide (sometimes abruptly) changes. Take your time, and know that you are genuinely awesome at this. In the meantime, thank you! 👽

    I guess it's safe to assume she's not coming back lol. I understand, whatever your reasons are, it's just unfortunate! Would've loved to hear more from ya. Wonder if you kept going to school and what else happened with your journey.

    A major purpose of this book is probably to help females(of course, who self-identifies as female) who have Asperger's(with or without diagnosis) to identify their Asperger's behavior treats that are more or less different from gender-biased medical definitions(largely based on male specimen) of Asperger's behaviors treats. A theory regarding why the differences exhibit between different genders is that (in some cultures,) societies usually expect female to be more socially adept than their male counterparts, as a result, under the pressure, "Aspergirls" tend to mask their autistic treats a lot.
    Asperger's diagnosis not only indicates "deficits", but also identifies abilities(, which is very rare among psychiatric diagnosis). Probably that's one of the reasons that it is used to be popular.
    Aspies are essentially a subset of Autistic people, and "Aspergirls" are subset of Aspies. In order to be an Aspergirl(and relates to the awesome behavior treats list in the book), one have to self-identify as a female, then self-identify as an Aspie

      I‘m working on it. I couldn‘t really talk very well for a while, so making videos didn‘t really make sense. But I‘ve started filming a few things again, so hopefully I can make some new videos soon.

    What pronouns are you the most comfortable using since describing gender is difficult?

    • @jontje5537
      @jontje5537  4 роки тому +17

      In English contexts I use they/them, which I’m generally most comfortable with, but because my native language doesn’t have such convenient neutral pronouns I use he/him there (or rather the equivalent).
      Also thank you for asking :)

      I got very overwhelmed with having to adapt to a lot of things being different over the last few years, but i miss making the videos and i‘m still planning to start making them again once i am able to.
