I think something useful that's missing from the guide is a few locations that you recommend for finding specific octopuffs, or if they can all spawn anywhere a small sentence describing that. Great job though I had no idea those dropped stat nuts at all so thank you!
Mind that the value each nut offers is based on a percentage of the level 1 stats of the character you give it too, so you technically get the most value out of giving them to whoever naturally has the highest base stat.

Yeah for a 1 player game this is pretty ridiculous. LET'S DO SOME DEPRESSING MATH! The math works out to 1 nut per 500 battles based on the law of large numbers (4% spawn rate, 5% drop rate multiplied). It's ridiculous since 1 nut for 1 character is only 8ish stat points and you need over 600 points to stat cap for each of 8 stats. So that means, 75 nuts per stat times 8 stats, or 600 nuts per character. That means you need to do 300,000 battles per character, or 2.4 million total battles for your whole team. at a rate of 20 sec per encounter, that's 13,333 hours on AVERAGE. I don't think you can get (M) or (L) nuts from these encounters either. I invested more than 2 hours yesterday and killed 23 octopuffs for exactly 1 fortifying nut. it's bad. Plus, the accessories that are supposed to increase the chance of encounters (Octopuff Pot) seem to do literally nothing. Like if you equip 3 of those imo they should up the chance to finding an octopuff to 34% (10 each) for this to even be a thing you would bother doing. TLDR Just a complete and total waste of time due to the design of the system by the devs and it makes me sad as a person who wants perfect stats. :(

Whoever programmed this crap was out of their mind and probably never tested this shit. Anyway I'm just gonna pass on farming these, it's really not worth it.

These nuts can't be stolen? Damn, the chance to meet octopuff is low enough (even octo pot only increase it a bit), then only 5% drop chance, can't be stolen, and the stat raise is not that big since its basic nut (not M or L). How many days needed to at least make 1 char have all max stats?

When you’re even so close to max 99 level, why even bother giving some little stats here and there with nuts to your characters? Shouldn’t you be more than capable and ready to get through the whole game content? 🤔 Serious question here, though, I can’t quite grasp the idea of farming those nut items 🥜
Mostly just for people who want to see how far they they can push their characters. Imagine nutting your fav character to the max in every stat. I did a similar thing in Bravely Default 2. Ild say the effort is worth, if for nothing but that post game power.

Do NOT give Hikari or Ochette Fortifying Nuts, because they can reach 999 Atk without them. Feed them to Agneamaster instead.

Yeah, I wish they made us able to steal from Octopuffs to make it easier. The chances of getting a nut is almost impossible.

I heard that the "Upgraded Accessories" skill increases the effectiveness of the octopuff charms. Whether thats true or not remains to be seen.
I tried. I didn't notice any difference in encounter rates. They were purely random and would counter at least one every twenty to thirty minutes.
