The only watch channel I've ever subscribed to was TGV. Today you've changed that. You're doing it right! Keep 'em coming!
Jonathan Duryea thank you so much! Glad your enjoying the videos!
Thanks, Dan.
Just got a Tangomat GMT, love it !
I really really want the Autobahn. Maybe one of these days, I'll find enough money to buy one.
Why no video of the watch on your wrist?
I’ve done a bit of online searching for used Nomos in my area, with no luck. After burning through battery life and 2 hours, I stumbled on this video. I’m clueless about watches.....totally clueless. But I am looking for the perfect college graduation present for my son. This would certainly be it! He is a fan of anything properly engineered, therefore loves most things German. He was fortunate enough to be sent to Bavaria, Germany for a school project, so all this confirms, this is the present I need! Only I hope to find a used one, with child #2 graduating from her college the next semester, a new one would blow my budget. Might you a suggestion where to find good used Nomos without the concerns of forgeries or condition?
Elise Tinnell Flatt if you reside in the states there are many reputable jewelers that would sell Nomos. I believe govberg jewelers is one to name a few.
Maybe you need to buy him a nicely engineered Seiko. You could get a Seiko for about $400 and it would be brand new and look amazing as well and be well engineered.
A Seiko could last you 50 years if you look after it because they are so well made.
Nomas make lovely watches with a unique style about them. It all depends on what you can afford.
very nice review, i love nomos!
Beautiful simple watch.
is it normal that the you can hear the ticking from 5 feet away on a slightly quiet environment? Is my Tangente broken?
I went with the 35mm for my 7 inch wrist.
i love my nomos tangente 38mm no date!
hate the black leather strap, but i got Velour leather grey from nomos its way better.
thereal men I love that grey strap for my ahoi atlantik. Lovely strap.
Black Leather makes it a dress watch meaning it can be worn with a suit or dinner jacket.
I have a 6.5” wrist and I can’t try one of these on. Would you recommend the 38 or the 35?
thanks for your video !! tell me how many your wrist in centimeters?
Nice watch, nice review!
Would be nice to see the day at the 6th. It would blend in perfectly.
You do realise, that the date is at the 6th :)
I mean when it is the 6th of the month. So it would blend in perfectly with the other numbers.
Question - are u using a 19mm or 20mm perlon strap? I've noticed it's much harder to find 19mm compared to 20mm
Hey 20mm perlons work just fine with the 19mm space. But I agree 19mm does limit the options.
@@timetell4371 hey what brands that perlon strap? It’s really nice!
Screw down crown and manual wind will not work together. If you wind it in full to a stop, how can you screw it down?
My Nomos Ahoi Atlantik Datum can do exactly that: even though it winds up automatically, it also features a crown protection and a screw down crown. But there are two different positions (if the crown is not screwed down) to either set time and date OR manually wind the watch. German engineering at its best 😉. I also own the Nomos Tangente 38 Datum. If you don't wear it daily, you need some time to set the date, but I don't have a problem with that. Next on my wish list is the Nomos Tangente nematic Sport 42 mm with black-blue dial. Looks fantastic and comes with a third position for just setting the date.
Great review, but you missed a "con" in my opinion: the lack of a quickset date. I almost bought this watch until I stumbled upon a video of the date change--that's a deal-breaker for me, and likely many others. If you treat this as a dress watch--i.e. don't wear it daily (and don't have it on a winder), that's a huge pain in the butt every time you bring it back to life! I still adore these watches; I'm just going to get one without the date.
Where'd you get that strap? I've wanted a Tangente 38 for a while, hope to get one soon. I love that strap, but I don't see any 2-piece 19mm perlon straps anywhere.
Check out clockwork synergy 2 piece perlon straps and go with a 18 mm. It will work just fine.
Very nice. What is the lug to lug measurement? 49mm?
Glashütte is pronounced Glass-hütte. Consists of the two parts "Glas" (glass) and "Hütte" (hut).
Tangente is pronounced tung-en-te (the last "e" as in "emerald").
You must be fun at parties
The thickness is not 8 mm, it is 6.8 mm and although there is always talk of this 38 mm diameter model, the actual measurement is 37.5 mm
Beautiful watch, the dress watch excuse for not being at least a 10 bar water resistant is ridiculous for any brand, p.o.v.
Are the hands luminescent? That's another feature that should be standard on most watches, these are expensive not to have them in this time and age
Whats your wrist size?
Nice video. Can you send me the link to your beautiful blue strap please?
Sure, got to this site www.clockworksynergy.com under 2 piece perlon
19mm width whyyy
Seiko sarb033 is a good review idea
what 's name of the music ?
It's a Carlos Gardel tango by the name in Spanish "Por una Cabeza".
thanks
Twist the dial lolz
The video is not available for me...
A long song.......
It's not 38 mm
Lol. A Long Song. You totally butchered the pronunciation of A. Lange & Söhne.
Do not buy NOMOS.
I bought two when they were just getting started in 2000. I liked them that much. All were manual winding. I absolutely adored them.
One by one, the winding mechanisms broke down. I contacted the factory and all I got from them was an address and contact information for an American company. I contacted them and they wanted $300 just to review it. $300?????? I paid $500 for the watch!
Don't waste your money. They have become pricey to a ridiculous point but the main thing is that the manufacturers don't stand behind their product. No support. No cooperation.
Today we have 2020 and nomos literally changed their whole caliber now. So dont tell from your old watch. To that time they just bought swiss calibers and put them in. The alpha caliber is one of the best you can buy.
Too big
