It's not 38 mm
My watch!
Beautiful watch, the dress watch excuse for not being at least a 10 bar water resistant is ridiculous for any brand, p.o.v. Are the hands luminescent? That's another feature that should be standard on most watches, these are expensive not to have them in this time and age
41mm case diameter ad 300mt water resistant
Ma786sai Dua lovely video truly. I have a Jade and a coral monster. Also got both 4th Gen Antartica Penguins Happy Feet and Night Monster. Now considering buying this SZSC003.
is it normal that the you can hear the ticking from 5 feet away on a slightly quiet environment? Is my Tangente broken?
LOL!! REAL deep sea/ocean divers use "wrist computers" or hae communication with the people on the boat. :)) There are lots of features on "dive watches" that are nothing more than "talking-points" and features icnluded to help sell more watches e.g. helium knobs or valves, deep dive ratings (e.g. 100-11,000m....etc. 99 percent of buyers DO NOT dive :)) Notice also hwo NONE of hte watch companies have catual deep dive HD video foottage with each dive watch or ANY of their dive watches. The test them in "air pressure chambers" ON LNAD :) ANd oddly no YTer reviewing has taken them "deep diving" and provided HD video footage either. Bit odd no?? :)) they're fashion accessories :) Do you think F1 driers are going to be looking at theier Omega Speedmaster or Tag Heuer Carrera while racing??? :))
I have a 6.5” wrist and I can’t try one of these on. Would you recommend the 38 or the 35?
"I like Turtles...". 'Nuff said.
It uses the equivalent Sellita movement now. But that's fine it's a high-quality ETA clone, and good for long-term supportability.
Not a great review of an absolute classic
Hurrah, no date 👏🏻👏🏻
This watch is 300 metres and not 200 metres water resistant, it states as such on the watch face both on the screen as well as on my wrist!!!! The early James Bond models were apparently 200 meteres WR despite it stating 300 metres.
I went with the 35mm for my 7 inch wrist.
Can't wait to try on the new Mark XX... should be a decent choice finally. I never liked IWC until recently
What was the MSRP back then?
I don't like how the chapter ring reflects the indeses.
No one said that it’s a dive watch you melon.
Keeps better time than my rolex
Lol. A Long Song. You totally butchered the pronunciation of A. Lange & Söhne.
God bless them though that they gave it decent Water Resistance, and Lume. Some folks like to wear their watches.....and Zenith seems to get that. For years, Rolex was the only company that seemed to understand that even their dressier watches were worn daily, in all of life's activities.
Dive watches with dates....meh. Dive watches with DAYS? LoL!
One of the greatest watches of all time!!! Unique, very beautiful and with a huge fan base around the would! Thanks for the great video!
If you’re not a fan just wear one for a week and you will be.
I really like the no BS military vibe of this watch. I just wish the Planet ocean bracelet fit it.
Im torn between a Squale 60 atmos and a Sinn 104. I already own a Laco flieger and a Nomos ludwig and I dont want to have a pure german collection, thats why I am more interested in the Squale.
I got two pre-Bond Seamaster 200mm quartz with the 1438 movement. (I had the rare dual-thermistor regulated 1441, but the Lancaster Omega repair shop stole it!) Nevertheless, the accuracy of the less valuable movement only lost 6 seconds the past few months. Otto Frie personally pulled a new watch face for one when he was in Switzerland, and I am re-luming the face and hands of the second one for a pretty nice restoration. Not easy to do, but I think a vinyl stencil will mask the dial and let me paint accurate markers as they don't have surround rings.
Very good review, thanks 😊
some correction: the movement has 25 stones
Black dial is my favorite.
Good review but not giving credit to the people who took the photos isn’t cool. Hodinkee for one.
Nice watch... Shame nobody has ever been in space let alone been to the moon.. 🤣😂
El mejor reloj del mundo nadie lo puede igualar en presicion y belleza
Squale all day
Back in the days when they made a decent Seamaster
Superb 1st Video on SINN 104.. subscribed 👌
The thickness is not 8 mm, it is 6.8 mm and although there is always talk of this 38 mm diameter model, the actual measurement is 37.5 mm
Looks great on that dark brown leather strap
19mm width whyyy
personally I'd prefer the turtle to be a little bit bigger
I really really want the Autobahn. Maybe one of these days, I'll find enough money to buy one.
Causy
The innacuracies in this piece really detract from what could have been a nice watch. Best of luck for future videos.
Much better review than the others!
Do we know which grade of ETA it is?
The parts are not the same. Servicing somewhere else may not be the best idea. See Bruce Williams video....
purchased mine used and my first action was to send it back to IWC for a full service. IWC changes so much of the ETA movement that it would have scared me to send anywhere else.
Since buying my Sinn the other watches get hardly any wear. Absolutely awesome watch.
Great review, but you missed a "con" in my opinion: the lack of a quickset date. I almost bought this watch until I stumbled upon a video of the date change--that's a deal-breaker for me, and likely many others. If you treat this as a dress watch--i.e. don't wear it daily (and don't have it on a winder), that's a huge pain in the butt every time you bring it back to life! I still adore these watches; I'm just going to get one without the date.
Poor lume, questionable crown placement and action, bad bezel execution - all requirements for a dive watch. Unknown manufacturing origins. Overpriced.
If you've ever owned a Squale, then you will know it's a proper Swiss made watch with case finishing is on a par with many more expensive brands. It's incredible value for money. Also, the lume may not be as bright as Seiko but isn't that bad and crucially it lasts and is visible under water, the crown is deliberately out of the way to avoid being knocked or in the way, and the bezel action is great - not sure what the issue is with the execution in your opinion?
When I want to see a watch review on You Tube I especially want a minute-and-a-half of Chariots of Fire intro music first...
