- All sounds from the Korg Electribe Sampler and Built in Analog Synth .
. Just using the drum samples , The rest is from the built in 17 Wave Synth .
Special Thanks to Craigy J for Video .
i was on the fence about getting the electribe sampler till I watched this. Seems very straightforward! Thanks
The synth version has better sound design options. Unfortunately, the pads are lower quality. There is so much you can do with this machine. Its literally a 16 part multitimbral synthesizer, sampler.
Great track! One of the best on UA-cam!
Sweet! Dope performance!
I like that bassline growl. Nice job!
Some people may call it Korg Electribe Sampler but we can call it PARADISE
Great tune man, I can see there is lot more I have to learn about E2S.
Nice Track! I like sound and preformance like this!
awesome job
Wow! Just stumbled upon this. Nice to hear someone doing a progressive breaks type thing. Very well done. I never can find any proggy break jams or tutorials. It was nice seeing this to give me some ideas. I have the red version of the es2 and would really love it if it wasn't for long sounds abruptly stopping every time it loops. Also would like a few more envelope patterns but nothing is perfect. Again nice job. Going to check your channel for more breaks.
Nice job, catchy tune!
Thank You !
I need to practice on live looping on the ES2, which I already love so much. From your performance I see that there's Hope and I do not necessarily need to look for an MPC ! :-)
That a good take on the "Save a Prayer" motif. Congrats!
Great Ear Pilip+ , I actually played that prior to recording so I could use that to keep timing without a metronome . I don't like using the metrodome Live . CLICK CLICK CLICK CLOCK . LOL I was wondering if anyone would catch that . Thanks ;)
Yeah. That is one of the things I don't like about the electribe. It would be great if the metronome could be directed only to the headphones output, but keep the clean sound on the main out. I usually have an external metronome laying around when I need one ;)
Cheers!
I think that can be done with 2.0 update . But the USB midi is supposed to work also . It doesn't work very well at all .LOL
I will try it and let you know for sure .
That would be great!
Thank you very much.
Haha you got it! I was wonder that tune is something from 80s, but cant guess))
I got to get One of these machines
nice job
Awesome
Thanks 808mos !

Great !!!
Thanks !

very good
Vlastimil Burian Thank you very much . I’m working with IOS apps doing production and live set midi mapping. They have a few Korg apps I use on the IPad

Setting up for a live set today with all the new Korg Apps ....
103 Views in less than a day ! Thanks UA-cam friends and my partner in crime Craigy J . We will be live streaming and posting longer deeper sets over the next few months as we produce the new EP , Album and Documentary .Thanks for the Support !!!!
Loved the tune. I keep on meaning to try a bit of live looping on my Electribe, but then I fall down the rabbit hole which is the step editor...
Try recording Just a closed HH that is the same as the metrodome , practice your timing using the closed HH without the metrodome and you will get it Ian . The step editor is great for making 303 style patterns and playing back sliced samples . I will post a Video with tips and trick with the step editor in September . Be careful not to stay in the step editor rabbit hole to long . I was in it for so long the other day i don't even know exactly who much time . Maybe 3 to 5 hours . I can give you on tip . Slow the BPM to like 70 Bpm . pick you key and scale . Set to 1 bar . Set Glide to 20 .Then ( Before recording ) Pick a Saw sound from the built in synth . Play a 303 style pattern with the mono 1 setting , record it . Then hit stop . the press the sequencer button , go into step edit mode . DONT hit play . and when you hit the pads 1 thru 16 you will hear every note you played . In step edit mode you can keep and change the notes one by one . Then hit write . The you can set to 4 for bars and it will create a 4 pat pattern by default . Add distortion and lite delay raise your resonance . Play patern . And wamo dirty analogue 303 lines . You can go back into step edit and add variations on bars 2 3 and 4 . Even just take notes out or adding one half steps up ( If your in c the C# ) I also recommend Copy part and pasting part to another pad and ad a Sine or Sine- Saw to make it thick . I hope i made sense .Cheers !!
Please read comment bellow . Thanks Ian Fairman .
great work and nice video...very informative ....learning my showing...but can i ask please how long is the sequence? like how many steps does it use to make a one track of the beat? and how many tracks on top of each other does it make?
thanks
ren
At last! Someone doing something like music with one of these things!! Still no change in tonality though throughout? Different section perhaps?
Thank you for e out thumbs up ☝ Your right most video's are noises and crap . The tones sound better than this low fi recording . I was just improving that is how I do most of my work check out my original music also on UA-cam under dj-producer Justin Thomas and thank you again
that was loop recording !!!
Just wow, a tutorial would be nice
The sequence sounds like Duran Duran "Save a Prayer".
mickypoo4622 It is ! I always loved that synth line so I recorded that first and used it to replace the Metronome ( click beeb beeb beeb click ) please check out my original songs . Thank you;)
Yess I copied the synth line from Save a prayer.
the second track is simil "the man with red face" of Laurent Garnier
Could you add some visual text to tell us what this is all about?
where is this 2.0 os update located?
www.korg.com/us/products/dj/electribe_sampler/
Copy to your sd card . Then go to Data Utility , go into korg folder , select 2,0 update . IMPORTANT !!! Your have to update in order from oldest 1.3 / 1.5 / 1.9 then 2.0 .
Great video, well done. You mentioned you don't use samples by other artists, but if I would want to use samples would it be possible to recreate a song like Prodigy, smack my bitch up. I have succesfully recreated the song in logic, but I would like to loop parts and somehow trigger them to perform live. My college would play the 808 kick and snare (not 808) live on a drum pad. So would I be able to insert these samples, making part of them loop, trigger them on command, stopping them on command and perform that song using this machine, a drumpad and a synth?
So did you sample Duran Duran, Either way it's a very cool arrangement.
Great Ear , but I don't sample other artists work .I will sneak a few progressions from my all time favorites. It was mainly because I used it for a metronome .The rest was improve . Thanks again for your time and consideration .
how did you get the audio out with no cable connected? does it have audio over usb?
Headphone jack and yes usb .

Please Google me and friend me on facebook , Soundcloud , Beatport , Twitter and Google + . Thanks for the support .
I can't understand why everyone is doing One Shot drum pads and synth on what is more useful as an Advanced Loop Station. I literally dont even use synth/sample on any of my Korg hardware. Just hook a synth to it and record a couple measures. Then you can double up over top it for accents. Using it as an Ableton launchpad, when there's a million midi/usb devices already doing it. This piece is meant to be at the end of the chain for live performance. You plug a guitar and record tracks, ie. Yet everyone editing it like its a Drum Machine is a waste of money.
