I like a re release ball, matter of fact when the ONE ,Came back out from 2005, a few months ago I purchased one’ last week I purchased another one, being a lefty keeping my speed up 16.2-16.8 I can roll through 2 games but of course you have to move boards
Great video. I got the Night Road recently. Tried it on several occasions without much success. Finished one set with it where I got a five-bagger to finish out the sheet on game 3. I was standing way left and aiming way right. The lanes must have been very dry; however, I gained confidence with it then. I tried a couple more times still without a lot of success in changing the finish. Ended up going from a 2000 grit surface and put some Motiv gel polish on it. I tried standing on 26 and targeting 10 which was an excellent place for this old codger. Late in game 2 I moved to 27 and 11 a little past the dots. Perfect move. The Night Road made me look like a pro for 238. This ball is staying in my bag each week now. Ordered a Fate before your video and looking forward to it. I was expecting it to be a little stronger on the back end than the Night Road along with more continuation. I won't be afraid of changing the surface. The REX cover looks really nice. Thanks for your timing video and good work Jungo...
I definitely like the re-releases. I think it gives those of us who had THAT ball that just worked well a second chance at them. It was the phaze 5 for me. I loved my phaze 4
Jungo does the absolute best ball reviews and has the best music by far of any ball review videos!! Don’t change anything another great video by you guys!
I think we needed a lot more shots with the revenant. Different looks from different parts of the lane would be nice. I really dig the comparisons tho. Its a real look at the differences
Does this ball at 14 lbs replace the PHAZE III at 14 lbs. Similar RG/Diff and same R3S cover but in a pearl vs hybrid. The P3 is no longer available. What is your recommendation to replace a P3 at 14#?
Hi, the ball reviews this year have so few shots with the new ball that I feel I did not see much. perhaps less comparison and more shots from different parts of the lane? I love your production quality!!!
For storm and it's umbrella brands u threw the night road, rstx3, n I'll guess u have the phaze2... which series of storm balls would b ur favorite? Hyroad line Phaze line or Rstx line?
Still annoys me that Storm had to change their finishing process, not because it actually made their products violate the rules, but because the USBC's equipment and testing methodology are complete crap.
@@iceman5117 no. Their testing methods are inconsistent. Some read correctly some were too soft because the needle stuck to the ball. Get your facts straight
I bowl in a center that has very old synthetic surface and the track area is worn out so I step left and play the third arrow mostly, I have been using a Motiv Jackle Ghost standing on about board 33 and rolling the ball on 15 board, buy the end of the night in game 3 I'm standing on board 36 and the angle that I am playing leaves me with a lot of ten pins and I feel forced to far left. I would really like to square up a little more and play a little straighter and am feeling like I need a ball that is cleaner through the front of the lane without being to sharp down lane (hook but with control). these balls that you reviewed are looking like just the thing I'm looking for, do you have an opinion as to which ball would be best for this situation?
Same cover but a difference in the finish no polish on the night road it's at 4k fast and the Fate is at the new reacta-gloss which is 1500 polished, ur not wrong but the finishes do matter
Throwing an Axiom Pearl, looking for a ball on either end to compliment... Very confused on what to get, like the roll of the Revenant, Absolute and Fate... Any suggestions?
If the only ball you have is the pearl I'd lean toward the absolute or another solid coverstock. It's designed for heavier volumes of oil. You might consider something for a more medium oil volume, like the Phase 2. If you're willing to look out of the SPI family, motiv has a Venom shock or a Pride that are designed for more medium oil volumes.
Think more emphasis needs to be put on the fact that Jungo throws 16lbs.. the core differences in the night road between 15 and 16 is absolutely massive. A 16 night road will be much stronger with a 0.058 diff compared to its 15lb counterpart being only 0.046 (and yes I believe the core was the only difference here, as the fate and night road actually have the same coverstock, so it wasn't a cover difference). It can just be unintentionally misleading to people.
I think re-releasing balls is fine to do. However I think when belmo was asked to have his bowling balls checked out of his sight and he said no, usbc got upset looked in his bag and just banned all his arsenal. Seems to me he had everyone one of those balls at that time. My Altered Reality was tested for hardness and it tested just fine.
Re-released balls play on pleasant memories. The Spectre caught my eye and was banned before I could purchase it. Reviews on the Revenant show that a surface adjustment would be needed to achieve desired results.
If the ball had new tech (core, cover, filler, finish), It should have a chance for feedback from real world situations. It was unfortunate Storm had to deal with all the bans, but it's a learning process as what works and what doesn't.
How does the Revenant compare to the Infinite Physix? I heard the mention of the Infinite in the dialog, sounds like the Revenant might just be my new ball,.
For the price I'd get the revenant over the fate. Have you or can you do a video about hook. What hook is. Most just like the movement once it sees friction.
Awesome video. I have a nightroad and was looking for another ball with lower hook. The Fate will probably be my choice as I don't have a belmo ball yet lol
I think from a business standpoint, SPI HAS to re-release these balls. They spent tons of money on R&D and manpower/manufacturing as well as losses on giving refunds and all the benefits to the initial buyers. They can't just toss those designs and specs out the door because they weren't bad balls, just had issues with the surface prep.
might go for the absolute or wait for the new tnt will see the review !! as the eternity review done by thomas larson that thing looks between the zen series and the reality series !!!
The Night Road and the Fate have the same cover. Also same as the Infinite and the Dark Code. The Night Road at 4k Fast vs Reacta Gloss on the Fate is the difference.
Would like to see the comparison to the night road in 15lbs with the different core dynamics, think it’d probably be the weakest of the three with the higher rg and lower diff
IDK that revenant looks like it might like straighter angles more.. wasn't going through the pins well for him. looks like he would be fighting w it all night
I don't think storm necessarily re-released the spectre as they just normally release the same balls each year with a different name anyway and it happened to match here.
The fate and night road are not ReX pearl balls, they're R2X pearl balls. The revenant is r3s, which is one step stronger than the fate and the night road
I had my PSO take the slimy Reacta Gloss finish off my Revenant, and now its a completely different ball. I think this is worth another look. I hate to do this, but Thumbs Down.
Comment: What are your thoughts on bowling balls that are re-released?
I see no problem with it but I'm not sure why they didnt reuse the Spectre name

I feel like if done right, it can be good. But some are falling short
If it's done right, it's fine by me.
I want R2S Pearl with the centripetal core!! Gimmie the chaos emerald IQs back xD
Why is music playing instead of the commentary?
Ruins the whole thing
why'd you have to mute the first part of the video and replaced it with music, I could've heard what jungo had to say about the ball reaction...

Re-releases of the banned balls is great. Just waiting on the UFO Alert remix.
I think we needed a lot more shots with the revenant. Different looks from different parts of the lane would be nice. I really dig the comparisons tho. Its a real look at the differences

What should I look for in a pro shop/ pro shop guy?
Back at the lanes after 30 years off.
Thank you, be well.
Hi, the ball reviews this year have so few shots with the new ball that I feel I did not see much. perhaps less comparison and more shots from different parts of the lane? I love your production quality!!!
I play straight up the boards so the reverent might be a good fit for my style since it don’t hook a crazy amount ?
I have a Zen UC2 and an IQ Emerald in my bag for pearls, do you think the revenant would be a good combo to those? Or would it be to close to the UC2
We couldnt hear anything you said about the Revenant? Why the music? Your voice is muted.
Ive been eyeing all of these, thx for the breakdown on them, very helpful, great channel
How would you compare these balls to the idol cosmos
For storm and it's umbrella brands u threw the night road, rstx3, n I'll guess u have the phaze2... which series of storm balls would b ur favorite? Hyroad line Phaze line or Rstx line?
Thoughts on these 3 vs the zen pearl and electrify pearl. Lower speed and revs and lower axis tilt for my daughter
Still annoys me that Storm had to change their finishing process, not because it actually made their products violate the rules, but because the USBC's equipment and testing methodology are complete crap.
Incorrect. USBCs testing methodology is fine. Storm tried to bend the rules and got slapped for it
@@iceman5117 no. Their testing methods are inconsistent. Some read correctly some were too soft because the needle stuck to the ball. Get your facts straight

Jungo saying the night road has a really strong cover stock and it’s stronger than the fate like they don’t have the exact same cover
Colors make a difference… but I hear you lol
Same cover but a difference in the finish no polish on the night road it's at 4k fast and the Fate is at the new reacta-gloss which is 1500 polished, ur not wrong but the finishes do matter
friend got it early 726 out of the box
You do know the fate has the same coverstock as the night road right? And in 15 pounds the night road certainly doesn't hook more than the fate.
getting this ball tomorrow
Throwing an Axiom Pearl, looking for a ball on either end to compliment... Very confused on what to get, like the roll of the Revenant, Absolute and Fate... Any suggestions?

Do you still throw Night Road?

Hey Jungo! Can you do a surface change video for the revenant 500 to polish?
Great video, keep these comparisons coming!
DIGG IT! (Think Macho Man Randy Savage) Rerelease balls are nice but expectations are usually higher than reality in my opinion.. Ohhhh Yeahhhhh!!
I think re-releasing balls is fine to do. How does the zen fit with these three?
How does the Revenant compare to the Infinite Physix? I heard the mention of the Infinite in the dialog, sounds like the Revenant might just be my new ball,.
Beat pearl ball I own til this day is my idol pearl. Love the reviews by the way 👍🏻👊🏻🤘🏻
For the price I'd get the revenant over the fate. Have you or can you do a video about hook. What hook is. Most just like the movement once it sees friction.
The fate and night are same cover and spectre shouldn't have been banned due to needle lubrication
I find it cool for re-released bowling I don’t really worry about it but otherwise I find cool
Awesome video. I have a nightroad and was looking for another ball with lower hook. The Fate will probably be my choice as I don't have a belmo ball yet lol
Re-release is fine by me. They were all good balls. I'm still waiting for a Trend2 remake, or was the Fate supposed to be that??
Jungo is back!
I think from a business standpoint, SPI HAS to re-release these balls. They spent tons of money on R&D and manpower/manufacturing as well as losses on giving refunds and all the benefits to the initial buyers. I personally like the rerelease of the banned balls. Wish the altered reality would’ve made a comeback
One of the Storm reps said look out for the Eternity.
I also love my Altered.
If a re release ball meets specs I don’t see an issue with it
Jungo throws 16 always throws me off with road balls.
Yeah 16 lbs is 2.52/0.058 15 is 2.57/0.046. They are really 2 different balls.
I throw 14lbs so anything from the Hyroad line only has a 0.37 differential. Basically an expensive entry level ball at that point.
Would like to see the comparison to the night road in 15lbs with the different core dynamics, think it’d probably be the weakest of the three with the higher rg and lower diff
Exactly. The night road core numbers between #15 and #16 are way different.
Love re releases
Richmond ppl support
I’m still waiting on the ufo alert remake😭
This balls great on later games, certainly not 44ft big ben though...
Bout time they spectre was special I’m expecting the revenant to be just as amazing
IDK that revenant looks like it might like straighter angles more.. wasn't going through the pins well for him. looks like he would be fighting w it all night
I bought one anyways and put 3k on mine. Thing is way stronger than I thought.
I don't think storm necessarily re-released the spectre as they just normally release the same balls each year with a different name anyway and it happened to match here.
That's BS
Got the Phaze 5 and love it. I want the Revenant but have too many symmetrical pearls already.
what happened start at 2:38?? only music and without jungo sound, btw annoying background music, should lower the sound
Revenant is for the burn!!!!!!
The fate and night road are not ReX pearl balls, they're R2X pearl balls. The revenant is r3s, which is one step stronger than the fate and the night road
No big deal on re released balls.
I had my PSO take the slimy Reacta Gloss finish off my Revenant, and now its a completely different ball. I think this is worth another look. I hate to do this, but Thumbs Down.
Music is terrible. Talk about the ball please. 😢
