The Mic Angle feature is GREAT!! The reason so many VSTs/IRs sound "fake and fizzy" is because people are using the mics dead on with the Speaker. Overloud TH-U is my favorite for virtually mic'ing Cabs because they let you blend in the Side and Rear of the Cabs. Those blends let you kill the Fizz without killing your tone or spending tons of time dialing in a Dynamic EQ/Multiband Compressor.
You sir, are many things. Kickass guitarist, awesome presenter, a true metalhead amongst few. But idiot is not one of them. Great demo, i'll be definitely subbing!
I enjoy watching you playing, it`s just amazing riffs and clean licks.... 10 Presets are honestly enough to produce and enjoy the most of the playing. It`s an awesome package product that makes thing easier for HardRock/Metal players.
AWESOME! playing dude u r definitely at a pro level and Beyond! I used your slow bpm practice routine to do my last bodom solo cover and man it really helped me out! thanks for the tips!!!
1st time I’ve seen you, you are a very informative, no bull, get on with it kinda guy & you’re playing is crispy-precise! I have had one of these turn up on my computer & I can’t even remember getting it, it might of been part of a promo or something but it is good. Thanks again & keep it up.
Does anyone know if this will load/host the pre-existing STL packs like Howard Benson, Andy James and Willy Putney or do we have to buy them again in the new format? Cheers PS - KILLER playing!
I just got 10 days trial of this one and I was quite excited but it feels like we are almost using two very different software. None of the guitar tones sounds nowhere near, not even similar to what I hear on this video. I still don't know what I'm doing wrong. Why I always get utter shit sound from my guitar(s). I don't have the most amazing kit but it's OK for someone who does that for self entertainment, but all I get is crushing tin can sound. Can you please tell what do you have between the guitar and the Tonehub while you were recording the video?
Hey man, I 've had the same problems. I would recommend you to use "metal enough" pickups set up correctly with fresh battery and to check your gain input in you audio interface and your plugins (read the manual of the plugins for proper gain levels). The preamps of the audio interface make a big difference as well. A huge difference. Check these ones ua-cam.com/video/3bsCb6WFInw/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/D2CZkjusSJ0/v-deo.html Last but not least, check your output equipment. Using crappy monitors or headphones will never make your guitar sound good.
I have a problem, I can't get Mono to Stereo and Stereo, I just can see Mono, there is no stereo or something like that... as Standalone as Plugin in the Daw. Help ¿Where the problem?
sorry, new to the guitar/bass software audio effects workflow...this is a plug-in for which software(s)? I checked stltones web site, 3-4 other videos "about" stltones which also jump right into usage and provide zero context, looked at the system requirements on stltones, googled a bit...if it's standalone software or depends on other software as a plug-in is surprisingly hard info to find.
Hi Garrett, I'm interested in trying out some computer based tones but I only have a rocksmith realtone cable right now and I get mega latency using asio4all + small buffers, audio is coming out of pc via hdmi samsung tv (audio delay set to 0ms on tv). Dunno how I should setup. Do you use an audio interface or?
Yeah, you've got to snag an audio interface. Audient ID4 would do you fine unless you are needing more inputs. Focusrite is also solid, I've had a lot of them. It's the conversion and built in DSP from the interface that is taking the load off the computer. Your DAW usually has built in latency compensation, but if you are using standalone sims, they are going to lack that. You could also snag some used M-Audio monitors for $150 for the 3rd gen DX5s. You are looking at roughly $350-$400, but it will get you in the door.
Hey, thanks for the review video. I was wondering if we just purchase a pack rather than the whole of STL tone hub, does that still work and can we still use it? Thanks in advance
Thanks.Do the additional packs come with additional amps? If I needed the kemper or axe fx tones would i need to purchase additional packs or will the basic tone hub do the job?
Great video. SUBBED 🤘 very informative and you are awesome! I'm planning to buy this. Mostly for MOdern metal purposes. what pack do you suggest that I get first aside from the core pack? And what's your favorite pack? I hope you could fill me in and thanks in advance.

It comes with 60 presets on its own, and then a free pack. It's kinda a steal, especially when you compare it to what's out there. There are PDFs for all of the presets for each pack also. I'm basing my free pack off that. Howard Benson will likely be the most broad if you aren't straight metal.
@@Crowbar11115 - unfortunately not :-( But it's always the same with STL...if they are convinced having good products so why there isn't a demo out from day one?
@@MatthiasBuesing Why does Neural charge over $100 for a single amp?? Each company has their own business model. Personally, I find Neural's products to be the worst in the industry. Thank you about the mono stereo section. Same happened to me 👍🏼
Mine only has the mono option.
That intro was great

Hey Garrett, nice demo, and playing! Can Tonehub be midi controlled?
All those classic riffs ! :D
Kalmah got me
Is the best amp pluging that I've ever played, I use a scarlet 2I2 interface and one cheap ibanez guitar that cost me $250.
Are working only stl Kemper Package files ? It is not possible to load a kemper profile from the kemperrigCloud

will we get some midi implementation someday?

The Acacia is so, so beautiful.
It depends a lot on your sound interface when you connect your DI for recording and using the plugin version.
I am a dummy, but what is a tonehub? Where can I find (more) information on such (electronic?) machines? Wikipedia has no information on this.
Ok....by "Kickstart my heart"...you had me mate lol. Nice job....but as an Axefx owner I can't see me getting much use out of it. Enjoyable demo.
