  • Hey hey! It's been a while and although life happens, I still know that a lot of you guys do benefit from my posts here and I have not forgotten my duty to give you content. However, I have quite a lot on my plate right now and I hope to have a solution real quick. Here is another addition to my tutorial posts. If you were wondering how needle and thread plaits are done, well, here it is. Real quick, real easy, or so I hope.
What you need for this style
    1. A creative mind, so you can go crazy on the style.
    2. Yarn, enough for the whole head
    3. Scissors to cut the yarn with
    4. A blunt big needle, so you don't pock anyone including yourself.
    5. Detangling brush or large toothed comb.
    Products used in the video
    1. Nashe Organics leave in conditioner

Wow!!!!!! I love this stitch braid technique! Eve, thank you for posting this video! I encourage you to get this video copyrighted and place a water mark on it with your name so that no one can steal your idea and make a fortune off it. My Sister, you did an absolutely wonderful job! I can't corn roll if my life depended on it, but I know I can definitely do these stitch braids. This technique would be an ideal braid pattern foundation for crochet braids. Yaaaas! I have a lot of hair so doing stitch braids would require less manipulation and tangling of my hair while stitching through my hair with a needle! Question: how would you remove the yarn out of the hair without accidentally cutting the hair? Can you do a video on removing stitch braids? Thanks much. :-)

I’m gonna try this on my daughter’s hair but I confused on how you started it initially and what kind of wool you used?
I may have to watch the video again.
    Can you please reply me.

I used acrylic yarn and a blunt big needle. Yes, if you watch the video again, or slow it down, I did show how I start and in other videos as well in the play list.

I don't know how to slow down the video and I live in California USA the wording is a little different because I have been doing ethnic hair care for years and I am quite the expert on natural hair care. I started Crochet Dolls because I love yarn and string might have been a cat in my former life 😂 in that light ..I always tell my clients not to use cotton or wool it's a nightmare to get out and only use 100% acrylic yarn for a true protective style tends not to leech the oil out of my hair plus it's easy to keep up. I'm just trying not to put my hair back into braids 😂 but your video is so great.

Can we simply keep the style looking as beautifully natural as it is? With the natural black it looks more realistic. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️Why must our talents n gifts be turned into a circus showcase? Why must we do yellow, blue, red n green and our hair doesn't naturally grow in these colors? My opinion. And yes I'm a black woman👸🏽!

This technique seems more gentle becuase when braiding the hair you have to constantly separate it. This totally skips that step!
