I loved this! I appreciate she said” don’t be quick to condemn if you can’t do it” good advice from a very humble woman. Will try this as a protective style.
For trying it out for the 1st time, you a WONDERFUL job!!! I watched so many videos trying to figure out how to thread the needle to start & your video showed just that! THANK YOU!!!! You even showed how to end it! Don’t be concerned about negative comments! Her hair came out beautifully!!! Excellent job mom!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'll be using this method as a crochet base for my upcoming crochet spring twists. My hair is fine so this will create a great foundation without using the rubber bands!
@@ellejaye22 I did it once and it did make a difference in keeping secure when my hair was shorter. Now that it's grown out, I just use the illusion method.
Awesome! I'm glad you had good results with it. Thank you for your response. I'm really looking forward to my next style, and ditching these rubber bands lol
Very very pretty!! I will be trying this. And the needle is not dangerous. They used the same one and a curved one when doing sew-ins. What I would recommend tho, is soaking your yarn/thread in an oil since it'll be in the hair for 2 or more weeks and you don't want it to get stuck if left in longer (wool yarn). Blessings 💙
GUUUURL You got better with each twist with an amazing result. But what stood out to me was that you said this was your very first time doing this and was nervous but did it any way gave me inspiration in it self.
I'm not very good at cornrowing my own hair. When I was learning how to do crochet hair on my own, I used to cornrow my hair and then use a curved needle and strong black thread to ensure the cornrow would stay in place. After this I would install my crochet twists. It was an effective and secure method. The hairstyle on your daughter looks lovely.
Very nicely done in deed. I also follow the youtuber that first tried this style there are blunt needles for crocheting out there that can be purchased non-plastic ones very safe for use on hair and scalp.
i've just tried this out yesterday & added beads to it! It's reallly easy!!! holy cow... it's a shame not all of us black people don't know this easy and simple trick
Wow you make it so easy, your method looks easier 👏. If there was no UA-cam i wouldn't know there is this type of cornrows thank u to UA-cam and the creators of these content
@@TheConnieLee ok, lol after I got over the Initial struggle it was t that bad lol. I was just salty I couldn't grasp it the first time, but quickly realized I wasn't even doing it right to begin with lol. I finally got the technique down. Just haven't tried it on my entire head yet.
I love this style and can’t wait to try it. My hair has grown a LOT since the pandemic so I’m re learning how to do cute styles and this is definitely one that I want to do.
It is beautiful. I like this better than trying to braid short hair. To me, it is neater than flat twisting without the yarn. I also follow Eve and she does some marvelous work.
This is revolutionary!! Easy to do yourself!! I can't french braid , so this is perfect for me!! I'll be able to use this method to use to apply a lace front wig too!!
The final results was so feminine. She could wear this to church or to a recital. This is a good style for pictures. I Love it. I want to try this for myself 😘😘😘
I really like this! I appreciate your channel because I have a daughter with very thick natural hair and I’m trying to learn and teach her how to manage it. I’ve learned a lot from your videos in particular. Thank You
I love this style because of the fact you can install it so fast and take it down fast too and redo often. No pulling or stretching braiding hair. What is the takedown like
U did a gr8 job 👍🏾! Very neat & professional lookin. And no, it doesn’t look dangerous. We’v been weaving hair 4 many years so I think by now folks shud kno it’s safe
Oooh my God! I saw this hair style on UA-cam and I couldn't believe it wasn't cornrows!! You did a great job is beautiful!!! I braid my hair and I want to try it on myself too. I love love love this hair pattern and it looks simple. I hope to get it right at first try.
Great job I love it i am going to use this method because I dont know how to corn role so thanks your daughter looks so beautiful with your new hair style!!!
Thanks so much for this! This was really good and quite easy to make. A bit time consuming though because of the extra care, but turned out really lovely. I made this exact style for my sister, then she made mine into an updo (aka shuku), and crocheted extensions to the tip. So gorg! Wish I could upload a photo 😁😁
I want to try it on my daughter and she really doesn’t have a lot of edges. Is it safe for edges and did you use yarn or thread? Waiting for your response.... P.S. I’m at work, I didn’t watch the video with volume in case you mentioned wool/thread. Thanks.
This method looks great. I think its really creative and its not dangerous because you are using a plastic blunt needle. Well done Sis. I pray God continues to bless your talent. I would like to try it myself. Not sure where i can get a plastic blunt long needle. Any advice much appreciated Sis.
If you are wondering how to take down this hairstyle, here is a link ua-cam.com/video/l0HvuR90n2s/v-deo.html
This is a perfect everyday, protective style.
Your hair is beautiful and my name is victory
Thanks for sharing. I have been using yarn thread for my hair and was looking for other lovely hairstyles and I just seen this
I loved this! I appreciate she said” don’t be quick to condemn if you can’t do it” good advice from a very humble woman. Will try this as a protective style.
l love how innovative this hairstyle is . As a person who does not know how to braid hair this is a God send. Thank you Angel.
So many possibilities with different colors of thread. I love it!!

I'll be using this method as a crochet base for my upcoming crochet spring twists. My hair is fine so this will create a great foundation without using the rubber bands!
I was thinking of doing the same thing, how were your results? I'd been searching for a video using these as a crochet base

she is sooooo funny!! 🤣🤣 i know half of the people here don’t realize what the girl is doing, but my generation knows. beautiful hairstyle btw!
I watched this with my mom and she kept asking “what is the girl doing?”, meanwhile I was cracking up 🤣

I love it! My flat twist don’t stay flat so I will be giving this a try.
🙌🏾my mom.used to do this in the 80s to our hair. 🇱🇷 🇬🇭
I remember this style too back to my childhood lol 😂😂❤️❤️
Very nicely done in deed. I also follow the youtuber that first tried this style there are blunt needles for crocheting out there that can be purchased non-plastic ones very safe for use on hair and scalp.

Wow you make it so easy, your method looks easier 👏. If there was no UA-cam i wouldn't know there is this type of cornrows thank u to UA-cam and the creators of these content
Thanks for doing this also on long. All along I thought it's only done on short hair. I'm definitely gonna try it
Very nice where do you get plastic needles to buy. Love it 😍

Beautiful. Just like when I saw it on the other lady’s channel. Can’t wait to try it.
I will be trying this for sure never thought about yarn at all.
This is the best thing I have ever seen for my daughter. It’s easy and very good for like if you have alit of hair. Wow am glad
It came out very beautifully ♡ my mom use to cornrow my hair with thread when I was a kid.
I want to try this. It looks easy but I will only confirm after trying😂😂
I want to try as well 😂😂
And don't leave out any details...good or bad. 😂
I've tried it....it's not easy. It may be because I suck at doing my hair but this style has been a nightmare for me and I've tried several times.
@@jazminblackwell3753 Wow, now I'm afraid to do it. lol

I saw this technique done by another youtuber a few days ago. Your style here is lovely too.
I did a similar hairstyle in early 80s in Swaziland.

I love it. It is not easy to do it by yourself on your own hair. As for the plastic needle you can find at Walmart in the sewing alley.
Wonderful. I am so happy to learn a different technique. I can not flat twist so I’m definitely using this from now on. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
it looks absolutely beautiful
Yh
Please try it on yourself too Cynthkay!

The YT channel Eve Mafupa - Natural Sisters has more videos on this you might watch, too
Wool doesn't dry or break the hair?
Don't use wool use 100% acrylic yarn
All you have to do is moisturetize the hair well and oil the wool. We use this in the Caribbean all the time.
I think it is nice that your daughter trust you to do her hair. I will be trying this on my hair.
Cool, looks easy & quick hair style.
It's so nice to see your vent girl growing up to be a nice and beautiful young lady
You did a fantastic job I kept watching it over and over again...... Job well done 😁👍🏼
This is wonderful no need to apologise ❤️ your girl is feeling herself that’s what counts 🤷🏾♀️😀
Your daughter is such a great model. Beautiful young lady.

What size is the needle?
I love this my gran used plait my hair with a needle and thread. It's a very neat and quick option.

I’m saving this video!!! This will be my next style
This is so beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial!☺☺I don't know if anyone has asked yet but how long does this style usually last?
I want to try it on my daughter and she really doesn’t have a lot of edges. Is it safe for edges and did you use yarn or thread?
Waiting for your response....
P.S.
I’m at work, I didn’t watch the video with volume in case you mentioned wool/thread.
Thanks.
She said she used yarn because she thought thread was too thin.
yarn
What kind of needle did u use that was big enough to get yarn Thur it?? Love this style can’t wait to do it
the large needle, ask for blunt point large needle or plastic one . 👍🏽
Chide lovesyou ok thanks.. and just use regular yarn?
Chide lovesyou sorry how do u put the thread threw cause look like it’s one piece I mean one piece hanging
Nice hairstyle Chide you did a great job 👏🙏❤️

This method looks great. I think its really creative and its not dangerous because you are using a plastic blunt needle. Well done Sis. I pray God continues to bless your talent. I would like to try it myself. Not sure where i can get a plastic blunt long needle. Any advice much appreciated Sis.
Most likely from Joanne's or Amazon, or your local fabric store. Walmart might have by their fabric, yarn section.
Where can I get one? I would love trying to make some things for my O.I granddaughter and also my grandson
It was very nice one I will do it for myself may the lord give u more knowledge
Elegant and pretty. I am going try this..
I love it🥳🥳
Wow is beautiful i will try it on my girls, well done and thank you.
This was cute, I’m going to try on my daughter and use some prebraided box braids into a ponytail
