    I'll be using this method as a crochet base for my upcoming crochet spring twists. My hair is fine so this will create a great foundation without using the rubber bands!

      @@ellejaye22 I did it once and it did make a difference in keeping secure when my hair was shorter. Now that it's grown out, I just use the illusion method.

    Very very pretty!! I will be trying this. And the needle is not dangerous. They used the same one and a curved one when doing sew-ins. What I would recommend tho, is soaking your yarn/thread in an oil since it'll be in the hair for 2 or more weeks and you don't want it to get stuck if left in longer (wool yarn). Blessings 💙

    I'm not very good at cornrowing my own hair. When I was learning how to do crochet hair on my own, I used to cornrow my hair and then use a curved needle and strong black thread to ensure the cornrow would stay in place. After this I would install my crochet twists. It was an effective and secure method. The hairstyle on your daughter looks lovely.

    Very nicely done in deed. I also follow the youtuber that first tried this style there are blunt needles for crocheting out there that can be purchased non-plastic ones very safe for use on hair and scalp.

      I've tried it....it's not easy. It may be because I suck at doing my hair but this style has been a nightmare for me and I've tried several times.

      @@TheConnieLee ok, lol after I got over the Initial struggle it was t that bad lol. I was just salty I couldn't grasp it the first time, but quickly realized I wasn't even doing it right to begin with lol. I finally got the technique down. Just haven't tried it on my entire head yet.

    It is beautiful. I like this better than trying to braid short hair. To me, it is neater than flat twisting without the yarn. I also follow Eve and she does some marvelous work.

    This is revolutionary!! Easy to do yourself!! I can't french braid , so this is perfect for me!! I'll be able to use this method to use to apply a lace front wig too!!

    I love it. It is not easy to do it by yourself on your own hair. As for the plastic needle you can find at Walmart in the sewing alley.

      Don't use wool use 100% acrylic yarn

      All you have to do is moisturetize the hair well and oil the wool. We use this in the Caribbean all the time.

    Thanks so much for this! This was really good and quite easy to make. A bit time consuming though because of the extra care, but turned out really lovely. I made this exact style for my sister, then she made mine into an updo (aka shuku), and crocheted extensions to the tip. So gorg! Wish I could upload a photo 😁😁

      the large needle, ask for blunt point large needle or plastic one . 👍🏽

    This method looks great. I think its really creative and its not dangerous because you are using a plastic blunt needle. Well done Sis. I pray God continues to bless your talent.
