Tales from the Branch Line: Big CSX GE Meanders Down Disused Track

- Though regular use only ended roughly five years ago, and occasional use still exists today, the tracks along CSX's Whiting Spur have fallen into a rather depressing state as of late. Ties warping and slowly sinking, several missing spikes, and joint bars on the verge of wiggling completely out of place have certainly created less than desirable track conditions, especially for six axle motors.
Thankfully, the opportunity to catch movements back here still exists, sometimes when you'd least expect it!
For those that watched my IHB videos and are keeping up with the channel, let this also serve as a bit of a teaser for my next project that's well into production...

Wow, see a whole lot of posters here that clearly weren't around in the 70's and early 80's if you think that was bad track, especially for a branch.
That was was down in Bowling Green when I built the yard expansion there. CSX has several unique CWR sets, definitely stands out from the standard pick-up sets.
Pathetic condition considering what NS has recently demonstrated with track that shouldn't be used

same with the CSX EK main even tho regular service ended in 2016 CSX occasionally usese the EK 1 sometimes the rails are shiny 2 I’ve seen a few trains
Now to use the new track the brought to fix the issue. The railroad management needs to be mocked into disgrace for the condition of their maintenance, over loading, and all around greedy actions that endanger every city they pass through.

I really think the tracks need to be tooled up. I'm not usually one to bark into a trackwork psychosis, but I bet a hamburger making lady could lay better track.
Hey Isabella 69 here it's really pathetic that the basically real companies with a hog all the prophets and don't want to put busy any busy with money into basically the reals or basically keeping up the tracks or basically the locomotives when that money needs to be basically put into infrastructure the keep it safe
