How have I never seen this before?! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. There's a set of memes called "Darcy's Inner Struggles" which I thought was hilarious, but this might be even better, if only for that delightful strand of "I hate myself" that runs throughout it! I'm currently writing an S&S fanfic from Edward's POV, and this has really inspired me. I can't wait to watch parts 2 and 3. Thank you so much!!
He is far too handsome and dashing to be Edward. "Edward Ferrars was not recommended to their good opinion by any peculiar graces of person or address. He was not handsome, and his manners required intimacy to make them pleasing. He was too diffident to do justice to himself; but when his natural shyness was overcome, his behavior gave every indication of an open, affectionate heart." Grant is much closer to the description than Dan was.
I do agree with that but what makes Hugh Edward was the innocence on his face. His face looked docile enough to present a person who’d read sermons rather than fight cases
Oh my goodness! I legit lol'd at this! So well done! The black and white bit with emotional music and then pasting her face over the other girls! Wow, bravo! Made my day! Starting my new year off right! 😂🙌❤
Okay I have to genuinely applaud your editing and commentary 👏🏻. 👏🏻. 👏🏻. I almost ALWAYS cannot stand when people have commentary over video edits, but you genuinely made me laugh OUT LOUD several times 🤣 thank you so much! 😘
I remember when I saw this for the first time and thought Dan Stevens was so cute. But I had already seen him in Agatha Christie's Miss Marple - Nemesis, and had to watch this, and it was so good, me and my mum bought the dvd set for this one lol
I’ve just realised, the actress in laying Margaret Dashwood was the lead in “Why didn’t they ask Evans” & the most recent version of “The Ipcress File”.
I watched Eurovision five times. I really admired the Russian singer thinking he was an amazing actor and comedian. I wondered why I had never seen him before! I decided to look up who he was and freaked out to find out he was Matthew! I had absolutely no idea! he looked and acted so differently. I had no idea it was the same person! What a talent!
Based upon Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. Story displays how two people are kept apart by the rigid social and economic structures of the time, but eventually find a way to each other. Hero and heroine are both people of the highest character, which is exactly why this hurts so much - and feels so wonderful when it resolves. Oh, and Lucy Steele deserves an eternity in pain.
Ha ha I thought I wouldn’t enjoy the comments but they are so funny 😂 Dan Stevens acts the part of Edward beautifully, but he might be a tad too gorgeous.
I've had a crush on that man ever since Downton Abbey, serious eye candy with those enormous sky blue eyes. I mean no insult to Elinor but this Edward is perhaps too pretty for her, marvelous actress or not. They look out of place with each other.
Like I say, it's not a BBC adaptation of Jane Austen if the main male character doesn't find a way to wear a wet shirt. (Such a funny video by the way, UA-cam lacks some good Sense and Sensibility content!)
And maybe because most of the people don't like this version and there are almost no clips from the movie on Youtuube except the edits of fans or the trailer.
Why do men have to do this passive aggressive stuff? My childhood sweetheart acted like this as we got older. We loved too hard too fast. We hurt each other's trust and were split up... so after that he did this passive aggressive no eye contact crap. But the day I had to move away, 1 month from when I could legally be old enough, he paced and cried so hard. He clung to me, screaming into my shoulder and nearly collapsed from the shock of it. It broke my heart. All this love hidden away that he just couldn't allow himself to express. Poor kid. I was so heartbroken I couldn't even cry. I just wanted to stay right there. 14 years later, I pray he is happy wherever he is. I forgive him, because love let's go, and love is more powerful than pain.
Why is he so handsome in everything hes in???
Is it because his face is like it is?😊😂❤
Genetics.
@@schreekeLOLL!! 😂😂 Indeed. 😆
I think the Baby Blues have something to do with this.
BECAUSE HE’S NOT JUDGED BY THE SAME STANDARDS WOMEN ARE!!!
"I saw this on etsy and thought of you"
"But I did want to see you all"
*cut to three Elinors staring at him*
I'm cackling
I hollared!
" YOU ARE A BETTER SISTER THAN MY REAL SISTER " 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is the best thing I have ever stumbled upon. thank you so much LOL
"I saw this on etsy and thought of you" had me dying
Added so many lines thar Austen didn't write
@@italiantraditionalcatholic2390true, because the internet didn’t exist then, so no etsy.
This video showcases much of what I love about this version of S&S. Those little shows of emotions make them so adorable and relatable.

That tearful smiley face over her non-ring-shaped gift had me chuffing.

it's 1am for me XD
I hope that both of you are not sharing the same king-size bed, lying beneath the same duvet!

Grant was too handsome too

Nah let's be honest. They're both incredibly too handsome to be Edward 😂😂
Exactly
I agree with you!!
PLEASE KEEP MAKING THESE. PLEASE. It's hilarious and helpful for writers!
He is my favorite Edward and she is my favorite Eleanor
Why has it taken me so long to find this? You have absolutely made my day! This was HYSTERICAL.
No one:
Edward the whole movie: Gosh I hate myself
Give me part 2 ! I can't breathe! Want a whole series of this
Oh my goodness! I legit lol'd at this! So well done! The black and white bit with emotional music and then pasting her face over the other girls! Wow, bravo! Made my day! Starting my new year off right! 😂🙌❤

I love both versions, this one is amazing 😂
Congratulations-- these videos have obviously grown more popular since i first found them. Many more comments! 😊
This is the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen to the extent it’s better than the P&P ones. The saw this on Etsy and the three Elinors… love it!

Omg 😅 pls do this for the whole movie!🍿
Your captions were hilarious... Ok jus stopping by to appreciate such handsome gentleman

Lmao "i did want to see you all" its elinors face staring at him from all the 3 sisters. 😂
this is god level editing ❤
Loved this so much! Hilarious!! Would be so great to see more!! :)
The constant "I hate myself" made me lol
Oh my, dear Heaven, this is genius ❤️❤️❤️
I wasn't ready for the black and white + sad music at 00:06:17, it made my day
Hugh Grant's Edward is so much more similar to the one in the book: sweet, shy and awkward.
This! Absolutely this!
Totes
this is priceless I'd watch the full series like this 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Commenting to like this a thousand times 🥰
The internal thoughts are killing me! LOL 😂😂😂
Oh Matthew, my darling ❤
"You're a better sister than my real sister" 😂
every "I hate myself" kills me🤣 esp his frown at the ring

his hair in Nemesis is cute @@Evastories608
I can't stop watching this, it's so funny! Thank you!! Please do more Austen adaptations
These videos are too funny 😂 love it

Best description: "I hate myself". lol
These are great. Please make more!!
I’ve just realised, the actress in laying Margaret Dashwood was the lead in “Why didn’t they ask Evans” & the most recent version of “The Ipcress File”.
Saw this on Etsy 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀
Your commentary notes are brilliant.
"Would you like some help with the carpet beating?" which carpet are we talking about here?
That black and white part! i'm dead lol.
Ok I came for the library inspiration (renovating a dollhouse) and stayed for the on point drama!
I love this channel ❤
More S&S adaptations please bcz this Edward is played by the most gorgeous men ever. Hugh Grant and now Matthew from Downton abbey?!?!???
I watched Eurovision five times. I really admired the Russian singer thinking he was an amazing actor and comedian. I wondered why I had never seen him before! He's such an amazing chameleon, isn't he? I really admire the way he can transform himself into nearly any character and make it believable. 🤩
This was from the 4 part tv series, it was brilliant, as was the film
The captions had me rotf. He just couldn't tell her how he felt. I loved him in summer in February
Love this!!😂❤
Very funny and very nicely done
this made me literally lol. so funny thank you.
He and Hugh really should have been cast as brothers. Here they share so much facially.
I like this Edward ❤❤❤
Dan Stevens is a international treasure. There I said it.
I have absolutely no idea what show this is in reference to or why is was recommended to me but I have to say that I was wildly entertained

2008 Sense & Sensibility miniseries. An excellent adaptation.

Brilliant commentary!
Edward is my spirit animal 😂

It’s on hulu and waiting for u.
Isn´t this the guy from Downton Abbey??
I’m in stitches so 🤣🤣🤣
Ha ha I thought I wouldn’t enjoy the comments but they are so funny 😂 Dan Stevens acts the part of Edward beautifully, but he might be a tad too gorgeous.
Oh como'n now! A love story without a handsome man is not a love story.
He is too handsome to be Edward Ferrars, only I find myself not caring. 😂
Please make part 2 of this

The wet shirt is more to do with Andrew Davies' scripts than BBC.
Very well done. Thank you
😂 Dan Stevens is awesome
when he said "yes but if only.."
Oh my... this Edward (with this thoughts) is actually quite bewitching . Why did I never watch this version ? Work... that's it ... I work to much
