Seeing so many Sesame Street Samples would be like me as a producer taking so many samples from The Willy Wonka movies mixed in with horror movie samples.
The one at 3:55 was certainly used in another BoC track, Trapped from the first Old Tapes bootleg. Love it how it is reused, like some insight in the creation process
It’s probably unhealthy how obsessed with BoC I am. I’m just upset I didn’t discover them in the 90s. Guess I was too busy with Orbital and all that house music.
I didnt think this video would be too crazy until 1:53, ive always loved that song at the end of Everything You Do Is A Balloon so much!!!! thank you for imparting this divine knowledge edit: also 10:19 and 11:10
The hardest part is finding the right samples in the first place. It's not like you can just fit any sample into any song if you put the right effects on it
Identifying all these samples is pretty awesome. Does anyone know if warp or boc pursued getting all these cleared formally? I love the art form of sampling, but I’ve been put off by doing more overt sampling myself due to the risk of encountering legal or other issues. Cheers!
Uhh idk if i found this i need other peoples opinions ua-cam.com/video/_KvK0F860Xk/v-deo.html Spectrum old tunes ua-cam.com/video/kVYgvrvL4k8/v-deo.html Ryo Kawasaki - Raisins isnt there something quite simmilar?
There are 2 more samples you missed one has been confirmed the second one hasent but its still likely the first one is opening the light samples a sound effect from sesame street alpha and omega is believed to sample a xylophone sound effect from an old documentary but it hasn't been confirmed yet
Some of them are so simple, but yet so clever, that's why we love the BoC
Something that is remarkable is how much mileage they got out of single samples. Particularly the "Many Me's" and "I Love You" samples.
Right?
Just goes to show how great they are
It’s amazing how people found all these. I’m amazed.
The FEMA Camp dialogue on Split Your Infinities (11:18) is absolutely mind-blowing - totally makes sense for this album.
music has the right to sesame street
These guys are absolute wizards!!!

I was shook at how many times "many me's" has been used outside of whitewater and I never noticed
I hear that.

so get a sample, make it either slower, put it thru the tape delay or normal delay.....
The process is often the same... but works!
Or reverse it.

How on earth did you find the samples?
WhoSampled mainly, and a little luck 😂
