At least there's an Above Ruins route and an Underwater Route. It's not actually that bad with the Spin Dash if you know how use it properly underwater. The slope underwater that you can use actually can act like Rocket Accel from Sonic Heroes only it just launches you upwards

I don’t what happened to Sega nowadays since Sonic and black Knight was last thing 4Kids did for 3D game and Sonic and All Star Racng was their finale of the voice actors have to get kicked out due to 4Kids contract expired except Eggman gets to stay that not fair what about others.
