Dolph seems such a humble and pleasant guy, you can really see him as a human here
I think he's an incredible guy who has been a complete gentleman throughout his career. He's also highly educated and very intelligent.
I love the Rocky IV reference: "If it dies, it dies." I'm hoping and praying the best for this guy. Despite the cancer scare he looks great for 65.

I am 4 weeks post op from kidney cancer. I was blessed to only have my cancer in the kidney alone. Even though I only have one kidney, I am blessed to have caught it early. Prayers to Dolph and others that are fighting this battle. You're never alone. Blessings to all the warriors fighting. Keep the faith.
It's awesome that you caught it that early for sure, God bless dude, that must have been scary

Damn... I feel chocked and saddened by these news of Dolph struggling with cancer. Really hope he has plenty of more good years to live. As a Swede I've always idolized him for being our country's only legit action hero in Hollywood. Felt horribly sad when my other Swedish idols Klas Ingesson, Frank Andersson and Börje Salming got sick and passed away, I don't want to see the same thing happen to Dolph any time soon.

There are not enough words to describe Dolph Lundgren… hero, role model, icon, legend. Millions of people look up to him and he has given the world nothing but love and kindness, a true champion🏆🏆💯
Nicely worded man.
He-Man.
He was and is a b grade actor...He sucked.
I myself am from Russia. On behalf of myself and my fellow citizens, we wish Dolph Lungren to recover as soon as possible, and you will again delight us with your film roles. You are a talented actor and a good person, films with which have always been spectacular. You are very welcome in Russia love
That was incredibly humbling and total respect to him for openly talking about it. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
My late husband's kidney cancer was discovered at stage 4. He was in some of the clinical trials of some of the meds that saved Dolph's life.
9:00 Seeing Dolph upset really hits differently here. I've got family with cancer and at it's worst it was the hardest time of our lives. When things improve you really do look at life as the time before the cancer and the time after. Dolph and his family will have gone through a lot of what I and many others would have gone through, battling this vile disease. I think a legendary movie star like Dolph, with the career and life he's had, breaking down and being completely transparent, is a beautiful thing. I'm so glad he's doing better and long may it continue.
I saw him at the Arnold Sports Festival in Sept 2021. Its amazing knowing what he was going through at that time but he still showed up and put on a great show for us all and stood up on stage as an unstoppable action hero. Keep punching Dolph!
I went through kidney cancer in 2006, they removed the affected kidney and I’ve been fine since. Hang tough Dolph!
I am glad it went well and I hope you stay cancer free but in some way if you get cancer your story is one of the best cases that 1. It didn't spread 2. It will solvable with surgery. If it's not surgical your only chances are chemo and that basically is killing all healthy cells at the same time at the hopes you stop and reduce the growth that has spread.
@@Despond You’re correct…mine was detected early and because it was localized to one kidney….was easy to remove and no other treatments (chemo, radiation) were required….I was lucky. Kidney cancer is slow growing but once it metastasizes, can be much more complicated to treat.
Can I ask you something, Please, how you are detected that you have a kidney cancer, was het blood in urine of something other ? Thank you .
Physically a very strong guy! But also psychologically! He faces a different sort of challenge, but it is not his first time. Wish him strength and healing!
You can do it Dolph!! Long live Dolph Lundgren✊💪
Great to see a childhood hero still being a hero. Thank you to all the people in medicine for all you do.
This is why getting a second opinion is necessary, especially when it comes to something so serious. Never feel like you are going against your doctors when looking for another opinion, at the end of the day, it’s your life in their hands! Praying for him and his family.

A genuinely interesting story with a positive outcome. Hopefully the journey Dolph is taking opens up awareness for other cancer patients. The difference in treatment and outlook between hospitals and doctors in different countries is pretty remarkable. If nothing else, the message should be: Never Give Up Hope, and Always get a second opinion.
Good luck, Mr. Lundgren!
I agree, and this is also an indictment on the way they practice medicine in this country. It’s so rigid and narrow minded at times. People should get 3rd and 4th opinions..
Wow, you would never expect that such a fit and healthy guy like Dolph would leave us sooner than an average person. The normal lifespan in the West nowadays is about 80, and you would expect that an athletic guy like Dolph would propably reach his 90s.
I hope he will succeed in his struggle and still will live as long as possible.
Yes I'm always surprised when people who are much healthier than the average person get sick. It just doesn't make much sense. Maybe he has been under a lot of stress. It's hard to know, but I do know he's a good man with a healthy attitude.
@@TonyVega123 what makes you guys think dolph lived a healthy lifestyle? He admits to partying, drinking and steroids.
@@eskanda3434 I seriously doubt his "partying" got him sick. We're not talking about Keith Richards here, a man who recently quit smoking by the way. And Dolph hasn't taken steroids in 30 years. I mean come on! Let's be realistic here.
@@TonyVega123 It all cumulates, the body doesn't forget. There are lots of factors that play into this, steroids may or may not play a part in that as well. The thing is, you can never really tell for sure with cancer.

This was scary to read and listen to. I hope and pray the medicine and treatments Dolph is taking help and destroy the cancer! He was upset at times in the interview but also optimistic about moving forward with his treatments including the medicine he is being treated with. I just met Dolph on April 1st this year. He is a nice guy and I’m happy I had the opportunity to meet and talk with him! He talked about filming in 2020 in Alabama. That would have been Castle Falls which he directed. Great movie! Dolph is a great guy! I’ll be praying for him🙏🏼

My heart goes out to Dolph Lundren.... Such a timeless icon. I've had cancer in my family and wish him a fast recovery, family strength, and many more stories to share with the world. Peaceful day
I don't think I've ever seen an interview with him before and only know him from the characters he has played (usually the bad guy). I was deeply touched by his words and wow, what a likable guy. I admit, I was choking back the emotions by the end. Working in healthcare for over 20 years I've learned that no one is immune to the effects of age and disease no matter how tough you are. I think his story and courage in sharing his thoughts and feelings will help many men see that it is okay to be fearful during such uncertain times. Praying for him and his family and that his treatment will lead to a cure.

That was a tough watch, but incredibly happy for him that he's improving. There is something about the strong action hero men from the 80s-90s that feels so personal with me, Ive never met them, but I've grown up with them and watched their films throughout many different stages of my life, I often go back to watch their newer and older films for an escape from my own troubles..however small they may be in comparison.
