  • Swedish actor, filmmaker and martial artist Dolph Lundgren discloses that he’s been working with medical professionals to treat cancerous tumors since 2015 and at one point, he was told he had two to three years left to live. Thankfully, Dolph sought a second opinion and was put on a treatment that quickly shrank his numerous tumors, by as much as 90% last year.

9:00 Seeing Dolph upset really hits differently here. I've got family with cancer and at it's worst it was the hardest time of our lives. When things improve you really do look at life as the time before the cancer and the time after. Dolph and his family will have gone through a lot of what I and many others would have gone through, battling this vile disease. If it dies, it dies. Indeed! Dolph is such a strong man and character, it's impressive to see how far he pushes himself despite the agony and constant strain on his body. Having had two parents go through it and a few others over the years, I am genuinely stunned at how well he performs and carries himself. We gotta take good care of ourselves, so we can be as strong, both physically and mentally.

That was a tough watch, but incredibly happy for him that he's improving. There is something about the strong action hero men from the 80s-90s that feels so personal with me, Ive never met them, but I've grown up with them and watched their films throughout many different stages of my life, I often go back to watch their newer and older films for an escape from my own troubles..however small they may be in comparison. It hurts to see them get older and have their challenges but they will always be immortal on my eyes having left such a lasting positive impact.
