Macintosh are my absolute favorite apple. I love Gala's as well. Haven't researched these varieties for N.C. I also plan on moving to Florida which is even hotter. It will be a challenge to grow any cold hardy crops, if it all.
❤❤❤❤❤tuck and bella❤❤❤❤ I absolutely admire the food Forrest and your dedication to caring for the garden, and for tuck. You are an inspiration James, and you share my first name so there's that!😂
I used to love growing wayyyyy too much in my garden! My garden was about 100 feet by 60 feet. We also grew pumpkins in this garden. In the late fall all of the neighborhood kids would be welcome to pick a pumpkin free of charge. Because we had way too many okra, zucchini’s, peppers, cukes and tomato’s, I’d set up a large folding table or two and put them out roadside as I harvested. Our neighbors could take what they wanted! It was so much fun just growing all of the veggies and giving away surplus! ❤️❤️❤️
I've had the most challenging year gardening in a while, mother nature hasn't been kind...Debby dumped 8 inches of rain on my small town and took out almost every road in town....my garden survived got a massive harvest after the storm and passed out the food to my neighbors as we were all stranded by the lack of roadways for a good 36 hours...we never quit here
My gardens were almost washed away too... I'm thankful we didn't lose anything but we did have to go purchase soil/compost to add back to the beds because they almost washed away, I put out more organic fertilizer too and everything has bounced back 😊🙌🏼 That storm was loaded with too much water🥹 I didn't think Debbie would ever go away😳🙄 Very good of you to help your neighbors💖
Hey James, Nancy here again.... I unfortunately got really sick again from my anorexia, and had to go back to the hospital for 3 months... the entire first 3/4 of growing season. It's been so hard for me... Just having to watch everyone harvesting great food, while sitting in the hospital... But You and the little king Tucker 🐕 👑? I cannot begin to attempt to explain my astronomical appreciation for EVERYTHING you guys constantly teach me. Both mentally and physically, you two give me hope, strength, courage and remarkable knowledge! You inspire me EVERY SINGLE DAY! I'm finally home from the hospital, and this video was THE BEST welcome home surprise I have ever had. Thank you, james. And tucker... you're the king of the food forest, the puppy king of gardening. Your mastery is unmatched. Your ability to put a genuine smile on my face after months of tears and suffering... Please 🙏 never stop posting these inspiring and just out of this world immaculate videos of your own food forest. Garden 2024, LETS GO!!!!
Good morning James. I live in Australia, and also plant a few veggies and fruit. I watch and subscribe to many gardening channels, and your fruit and veggies are the best that I have seen. I am blown away by your crops, it's unbelievable! What are you doing that is so special?
My ground cherry harvest has been great this year! Thanks for recommending last year. Can’t wait for your favorites overview at the end of this year. Next year, I’d love an early video going over when what you are starting your seeds of your favorites. Preferably a week or two before we should start. It would help some of us that are still trying to master our start times better. 😂.
I tried ground cherries for the first time this year because of James. I love the plant structure and the way it looks growing. I've only had a couple since I just ripened but definitely will grow again.
01:52 We've had a great harvest this year as well. The only trouble we seemed to have with the tomatoes was that they were nutrient deficient, so I used an epsom salt spray and everything was fixed. 👍👍👍
What an amazing harvest! Hello James Jeffrey in Atlanta here I had beautiful cantaloupes growing on a wire mesh trellis next to my Raise garden bed. I was so proud I put. Organza bags over some of the melons and I used wire mesh to support others to keep them from falling off the trellis. I spent hours fiddling with them to make sure they were safe and then the insects came and devoured everything I lost all of my harvest except for one melon it made me so sad, how do you keep the insects away from your cantaloupes???
James, I love your Garden videos! We are from Canada and we have a good producing garden. We have already eaten potatoes, beets, squash, zucchini, cucumber… I’m sure I’m forgetting some thing. We have also had raspberries blueberries and blackberries for weeks. Keep up the good work.❤🎉
Hello James I like all the veggies and fruits in ur garden how I wish I can taste one of ur cherries it looks yummy sweet...about Tuck old is he now I miss both of you to watch that's why Am back to watch all your video it gives me great idea for my garden someday.
Can’t wait for my Rosa Bianca’s omg yours are huge! Thanks for always introducing new species. I have liked all of your recommendations so far. ❤️s for Tuck and Baby Bella
Hi James and Tuck. I love to see your peppers in pots, I have been growing my bell peppers in pots in my front yard for about 3 years. This year is another amazing crop. I have grown my egg plants in a raised bed in the past, but I will try them in buckets next year. My favorite is the black beauty but I acquired seeds for the long white ones from my library's seed exchange. Keep up the good work.
I just pulled 9 lbs of produce from my garden this morning! Over-packed 13x17 foot garden patch. ❤ Tomatoes, okra, cucumbers, squash, cantaloupe, pumpkins, watermelons, and okra. Can't be complete without some Basil, marigolds and zinnias jam-packed in there. I'm excited to expand next year.
I have harvested some nice cantaloupe, but birds love it right from seed stage as they will remove it from tray if not in net or eat from the fruit if not covered with brown paper.
…Tuck is looking very healthy, which is wonderful to see. Little Bella is a cutie, and not so sure about the camera yet. The fruit and vegetables look stunning. I appreciate you cutting a few things open so we can see the beauty of them. 🐶 💙🐾 🐶🩷🥗🥕
Two potatoes in one 5 gal bucket. That's crazy good. We will try that next season. So many channels say one eye in one bucket. This is great news to me James. I'm always learning something new here. ❤hugs for Tuck. Thank you for updates and sharing your experiences James. Your potatoes are huge.
Hey James, I love your videos and Tuck❤ I like them and learn much. I am in New Jersey North, and your garden helps me understand the season and when to sow and harvest. When is it suitable for my climate to do so. Thank you!! For being such an inspiration to me over the years. God bless you!!🙏
I found a whole bunch of wild ground cherries growing on my property recently and identified them and they are edible and quite good. I love that I didn’t even have to baby them! Win win! I kept a few to replant next year but honestly they replant themselves quite readily. I even found a volunteer tomato plant outside near my neighbors property line (still on my property) and idk how it got there and it grew my largest tomatoes yet. What’s up with that? Crazy nature at it again. I’m ever so grateful. For reference I live out in the woods so it’s surprising what grows out here. I also found paw paw trees too. They give little fruits each year. So yummy!
Tuck is so sweet, i love how he loves your veggies. My Yorkie wont touch any veggies and mine is hiper active but i love him to death! Bella also seems sweet❤❤❤
Wow, you continue to be our greatest gardening inspiration as we grow our little food forest! Thank you for sharing your treasures with us, and❤❤❤❤ for Tuck and Bella!
❤ I have great tomatoes this year and cucumbers. 🎉 It's a good year and i learned a lot. I will drop things that just does not grow well here and focus on the success.
Awesome video you have been such an inspiration i have started a mini food forest and we love it please keep the videos coming i am learning so much thanks again
Aww, Bella is so adorable! (and Tuck, of course!) ❤❤❤ What an incredible harvest from the garden, James. Your garden is incredible and such an inspiration!
Love your harvesting videos! I have been gardening in south Jersey and am getting so many peppers I almost don’t know what to do with! It’s been my most prolific year yet, though I’m getting only about half the amount you get! I wonder what you do with all of your hauls. I would love to see a video about that and how you process all of it.
WOW!!! Amazing garden.... amazing harvest!! Love your enthusiasm & energy & fantastic garden advice!! Hadn't thought of using buckets for peppers, eggplants, potatoes!! I also like your suggestion of planting squash & other veggies close to the edge of the beds so they can spill over & leave more planting room in the bed!! YAY!! What do you use for fertilizer... and how often? Do you have lots of earthworms in your soil? Of course, I always look forward to seeing TUCK!!!! 🥰 and was happy to see his 'girlfriend', Bella, your sister's dog!! What cuties!! 😍
I had to stop watching your video because of visitors, watchinh the rest now, my eyes can't believe your fruit and veggies are just so perfect, I'm gobsmacked.
Love your and Tuck’s videos as usual, James! Does anyone here who grows grapes know how to keep the critters away? I’ve had my vines for three years and I finally, FINALLY had a good amount of fruit setting. I went away for two days and when I came back the bunches had been picked clean! They weren’t even fully ready yet, so whoever got them feasted on some really sour fruit
I love seeing how fruitful others' gardens are. It is inspiring. A cold snap followed by a heat wave stunted my garden. I'm hoping for a better fall if the pest don't eat my brassicas again
The heat prolonged my tomatoes 😢. I just got my very first mostly red tomato. I couldn't hold back any longer lol. The last frost we had killed half my neighbor's garden too.
