I was born in Iowa and we lived there until I was 12. I still have family there farming the family farm.
Not long ago I came across an upgraded Iowa centennial in a coin shop and it came home with me. It is a beautiful coin, and I'm happy to have added it to my collection.
I looked online trying to find out if they released the 500 coins in 1996 but didn't find anything.

That eagle shows so much power...so much "don't mess with the US"... Something we don't seem to have over the past few years. Hopefully in the very near future that will change and then, a new coin issue can be produced with an eagle like that! Nice commemorative Speg!
