6:56 I know it’s annoying when people make mistakes like these but I give them more leeway when they admit their mistakes. Too many people make errors and are either totally oblivious or too defensive.

#12 at 4:36 I would have driven forward so close that the taxi could not turn around and would have no choice but to follow the one way system.
No point beeping the horn after the event. Calm yourselves down. Thats how road rage starts sometimes. The other car hearing you beep at them can be a red flag, often brake check after that or worse they get out to confront you. It’s simply not worth it. You cant do anything about others bad driving, no point in creating a situation that puts you at risk.

Yes, the dash cam driver would have done something to aggravate the other driver. Its not like he was in any danger, they got past and that was that. Probably deserved them following him home. Not ideal but some people cause their own problems.
At 6:15 - just a thought but on some modern cars it is hard to see indicators flashing if headlights are on. The headlights are so bright and the indicators are so small that the headlights overwhelm the minimal light coming from the indicators. It may be worth setting them going to see what it is like on your car. And at 6:55 - great save. Ashley Neal would definitely give that an A.
#10 that is the problem with the sound field on the sirens of modern emergency vehicles. They are great for not disturbing people who are not directly in front, but you couldn't hear them until you had turned into the junction and were in the line of broadcast.

How can a modern siren be great for not disturbing people, yet I can hear sirens all day long miles away..they arnt exactly quiet.
@@paul8161the further away you are from the siren the less directional it is. If you are close to the source then the narrower the cone of sound is, although despite being directly in front of it some drivers still cannot hear it or see the blue lights filling their rear view mirror!

Weren't they using the wrong siren too? I thought they were supposed to switch to the fast one when they're on the wrong side of the road or approaching blind/light controlled junctions.

I seem to be very fortunate in rarely seeing any. The odd red light chancer at roundabouts.
But of course there were three in rapid series the day I broke my dashcam, following my car being written off by a skidding Volvo.
dashcam provided incontrovertible evidence for that, fortunately.

No such thing as right of way in Highway Code. Pedestrian had priority.

Nothing wrong with the lorry pass at 2:35, Chevrons were encased in a broken line, do not enter unless necessary, he thought it was necessary haha, Have done similar to get past slow moving lorries, when I know there is a twisting winding road ahead that you rarely come across lorries, but when you do they should really pull over to let the others pass, as they are slower than the local tractors.

"Glued to the phone" it's the drivers responsibility to give way to pedestrians when entering or exiting a side road. Highway code updated recently, you must give way.

Just a problem with the cammer who clipped someone whilst making a right turn. The car he clipped was on the correct side of the road. He clipped him because he was cutting a corner. You have to pass the midpoint before making the turn.

@@aleccoates9094 I think the car had actually turned in and entered the road already, at the point where the Pedestrian should have looked, and then crossed. So they wouldn't have priority.
Our highway code doesn’t give right of way. We have a similar guidance but they are not rules or law and they have been a disaster, with 30% more pedestrian/car injuries per capita since they were introduced.

Loads of cam cars in the wrong . The car cut the lane hit the car and said both were turning right at the same time . Another one at roundabout didn't give wat to the right and blamed the other driver . Just because you indicate doesn't mean you can just move lanes without checking your mirrors

6 you can cross into chevrons if not surrounded by a solid white line, its a run out area, however prepared to be stopped and educated by RPU if seen, its not an offence but its a dangerous place to enter due to road grit, tyre marbles, and debris, and is slippery.

Chris Mcarthur (clip 2) was cutting the corner, clearly. Completely responsible for that accident if the car coming out hadn't started moving, partly if it had.

Driving over chevrons. Nothing wrong with either cars, the white line is broken. Admittedly, probably not the best of manoeuvres but contrary to The Highway Code

as it says in the highway code you can overtake on chevrons as long as the lines on not continuous and you do not enter a ghost junction .

@@kittyhawk9707 Haha - that's funny. Doesn't change the fact that drivers now have to give way to more vulnerable road users! I am not suggesting that the driver did anything wrong, and in fact I am actually trying to have a dig at the rule itself which I think is ridiculous.
However, if the driver had hit the pedestrian and submitted this footage to the police, he would almost certainly have been prosecuted for driving without due care! Not saying it is right, just stating the facts.
But thanks for taking what I said and twisting it out of recognition.
Right of way or not, a bit of self preservation can go a long way.

#6 The chevrons have dashed (not solid) white lines. They are there to warn of the impending end of the dual carriageway they do NOT probit drivers using the space. The car completed the overtake without causing any other driver to take evasive action. Furthermore a relatively low power car that may struggle to overtake on a regular 2-way road. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever IMO.
Safe and necessary are the words used in the Highway Code regarding this. Whether it’s safe or not it’s clearly not necessary therefore the overtake breaks the Highway Code
#3 Think of it this way. He could’ve driven a few inches further forward and done a 3 point turn before turning into that road in order to comply with that sign. Instead, what he did was much easier, quicker, safer, less inconvenient to you.
